About this property

Park Model by creek and across street from beach.

Summary:
Recently remodeled, Park Model home with deck overlooking the creek and across the street from public access to Birch Bay. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, cookware and utensils. Roku TV and fast internet. Work desk and work chair provided for remote workers. 1 Queen bed and couch that pulls out into bed. Gas furnace for heat in winter. Portable AC provided in summer.

The Space:
This is a quiet area, just about a mile north of the State Park. Walk across the street to the beach, have a fire and watch the sunset. Or walk down to the state park and let your kids romp around the playground or explore the campgrounds in the woods. Lots of biking space and, of course kayaking.
This unit is right next to the creek where you can watch the hummingbirds, robins, herons, eagles, ducks, geese... And you will hear the occasional gull down on the bay.
If you are a remote worker (workationer), this is the place for you.

Guest Access:
Guest Space includes private use of the the park model trailer and shared, off-street parking and a shared coin-op
laundry.

The Neighborhood:
Ours is a quiet neighborhood. Pets are welcome. We do request dogs to stay on leash since they will encounter one another on our property and when walking to the beach.

Birch bay is all about beach life: Strolling on the beach, kayaking, shell fish harvesting (in season) and going to the nearby restaurants. The food scene is small, but often includes live music. The beach side restaurants are about 2 miles north, where you'll also find a coffee shop with local arts and crafts for sale. Check online calendars for the many festivals throughout the year in Birch Bay, Blaine, and Semiahmoo For example, checkout the kite festival and the sand sculpture festival. We also enjoy old car shows, music, art, and food vendors.

Blaine is 10 minutes north and offers more restaurants, a grocery store, post office, a Starbucks, and fast food.

Getting Around:
Car is, of course, easiest.
However, bus 75 from Ferndale comes straight here and drops you off at the C Shop which is .6 of a mile from here.
Once you get here, you could make arrangements to borrow our bikes.
Food and groceries are a bike ride away. Also, see our guest book for the many ways to get restaurant food delivered as well as groceries, pet food, and even pharmacy items.
If you are exploring the islands, the Anacortes ferry terminal is about 1.5 hours from here.

Other Things to Note:
The fun beach community of Birch Bay offers many restaurants and cafes. We are in the more residential (quiet) end of the "strip." But a couple miles up the road is where the action is: People watching, ice cream truck, water front dining, and the occasional summer festival or car show, live music options on weekends.
The town of Blaine is a 15 minute drive north. There you'll find more restaurants, cafes (all with water views), a marina to explore, postal services and a grocery store.

Interaction with Guests:
Nichole, the on-site manager is available.
For entertainment, guests can enjoy TVs. Kitchens, balconies, and refrigerators are also available.
