Adorable historic hotel we found by chance. What a great find! Wish we would have had time to check out the area. What we saw was so quaint. Beds were comfy and breakfast was good!

What a wonderful surprise! This historic building is beautiful and our room is magnificent! The furnishings are beautifully crafted, and I wish we were staying longer.

Our group LOVED this property! The place was so charming and had amazing areas for group gatherings. There is a beautifully outfitted outdoor area with gas fire pits and each floor had a large commons room that had 2 tv's and a full sized refrigerator with lots of seating options. The breakfast bar had several hot and cold options and we just loved the exposed brick, high ceilings and wooden floors. This is a hidden gem that we will definitely return to! It is right across the street from the train tracks and you could hear the train whistles throughout the night, so take earplugs or a sound machine if you are a light sleeper. A charming town with lots of potential and only 2 blocks from the train station where we got on Dora Trail which connects to the New River Trail. Perfect! We were able to take our eBikes on the elevator and store them in our rooms overnight. Highly recommend!

Amazing!! Just beautiful and unique. The rooms were a stunning surprise when you opened the door!! I can’t say enough about the esthetic of the building! Also, the staff were attentive, helpful and pleasant. The included breakfast was very good with lots of options. I hope this hotel flourishes, it’s truly a gem of an experience.

Bring ear plugs

The room was great—full of charm, very clean, and comfortable. Check-in was quick and easy. However, the walls are extremely thin. We could clearly hear the people in the next room talking until 3 a.m., which made it hard to sleep. You can also hear water flushing, and on top of that, trains passing through town honk their horns during the night. If you’re a light sleeper like I am, it can be challenging to get rest here. As for dining, there are very limited options in town—maybe one or two places—so plan to eat before you arrive. Overall, it’s a cute place with a lot of charm, but I would recommend bringing earplugs and being prepared for the limited food choices.

This hotel was just stunning. Beautifully decorated, clean and spacious. There are trains that roll in, but I loved that. The mattress was wonderful.

RIGHT NEXT TO THE TRAIN TRACKS! Cargo train passed by our window several times each night while we were trying to sleep. Too exhausted to enjoy graduation events. What a terrible experience.
