Disliked: Check-in, communication, listing accuracy
Do NOT book these apartments at Aurum House . I received an email stating that I would receive info re carparking 24 hours before my stay and "other" check in details approx 1 hour before the check in time of 3pm. I hadn't had any info sent to me so just after 2pm I sent a message asking for the check in info.... with no reply. I waited and waited and eventually rang the host. It went to voicemail. So I called the other number that was on the listing on the Hotels.com website. It was aswered by Richard, the previous owner. He emailed me the new owners info (Lukas, of Palmas Stays) but it was the same number that I'd previously rang. So I tried to contact the new owner again asking for the check in details. I'd already gone to the property but the door was locked. By now it was 6pm. We were so stressed, but we still gave him the chance to contact us. We went and had dinner and I sent a final email saying that if he didn't reply within an hour then we'd have to find alternative accomodation. I got a random email saying that I could park anywhere on the street, he was obviously reading my emails, but how was that getting me past a locked door or any info into how to access the property? At 7.30pm we decided enough was enough and booked a different hotel For the record, I had to borrow a phone from a man in Morrisons to be able to call Lukas. I explained that in my voicemail that I didn't have phone access only via emails. I gave Lukas hours to reply and all I got was stress
