We attended a Christmas party night on 7th December booked through work and decided to stay the night. The three course meal plus mince pies was excellent. The atmosphere in the Great Hall was lovely, music playing until 1 am. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. While having modern facilities it maintained the character that a building of this age should have. Our breakfast in the morning was also excellent, the dining room overlooking the beautiful gardens. Overall a lovely stay
Have known the Mount for many years and the current owners are carrying on a tradition of excellent helpful, friendly service and good facilities in a lovely historic building. The cooked breakfast if excellent, only comment is that the continental buffet could be more exciting.
Bedroom lovely comfy , bathroom/shower excellent, breakfast we had eggs benedict which was glorious highly recommended, lovely grounds as well if u fancy a mouch round after breakfast , staff excellent too
Upon entry to the hotel facilities and introduction were good, things worsened afterwards, unusable shower, poor breakfast, no care from staff, would not recommend at all. Despite explaining the faults no recompense occurred and was left feeling worthless as a result. Breakfast was changed from served to buffet without being told and reception staff either looked apathetic or were very cold towards us. Booked this as we heard it was the best in Wolverhampton, for Wolverhampton’s sake I hope not.
We had a fantastic time at the mount. The staff were very friendly, helpful and attentive. The apartment we stayed in was amazing and well equipped and breakfast was also fantastic. We will be coming back soon.
Lovely building with good size car park. Must be our sat nav, which is up to date, but sent us to another mount road 6 miles away. After asking people for directions which we couldn't follow from so far away we clicked on Google maps and finally arrived. Went to reception who couldn't find the room booking. After 10 mins we were booked into an available room. Dropped bags off and went down to party as we were late by now. Party room was lovely food was nice and drinks good quality. Music wasn't best and all found it odd no Xmas songs at Christmas party night! Went up to room after to find the toilet wouldn't flush. Had to use kettle to flush it. Bed was comfy with nice quality linen. Nice room but toiletries had been half used by last guest and a few marks on walls. Nice warm room with pleasant view. Not sure if we should have had breakfast. Says on trip advisor free breakfast. We weren't told about breakfast so assumed we had room only so never went down as no one mentioned it and never thought to ask in the rush to check in.
My daughter and her husband got married at The Mount Hotel on 1st Dec 2017. I would recommend this venue 100%. Staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble, food was amazing and the venue just perfect. From beginning to end a wonderful experience. The toast master told us a bit of history on the Great Hall which is a beautiful room - you need to see this room. My daughter and son-in-law had the wedding day they dreamed off and everyone had a fantastic day - big thank you to all the members of staff at The Mount Hotel.
What a lovely hotel. Warm and friendly staff in all areas of the hotel. Modern and comfortable rooms with great walk in shower. Very good food at dinner, and an excellent freshly cooked breakfast with lots of choice
6 of us had lunch and we were ALL delighted with the menu choice and the quality of the food. Pleasant surroundings and a magnificent building. Although approx 15 miles to travel it will not stop us going again and I recommend you try it.
I have been going to this hotel for many years with a group of ladies for a long weekend once, sometimes twice a year. Each year gets better and better and this year I was not disappointed. The reception staff were friendly and efficient. Before my room was ready I met up with a friend for a drink in the bar. My friend has difficulty in walking unaided so as I started to help her it flashed through my mind how was I going to managed her bags as well and as I was thinking this the young barman came over straight away and took the bags and helped us to the car. He did this without having to be asked and was so kind. The food throughout my stay was excellent with Yorkshire puddings the size of Yorkshire! Remarkable! To sum up, a very enjoyable, comfortable stay and it just gets better. Would thoroughly recommend this beautiful hotel along with their fabulous staff.
