I would highly recommend Radisson Blu and will definitely be booking in the future !Staff were welcoming and helpful , housekeeping was excellent as we always returned to clean and tidy rooms in the evening. Customer service was above and beyond our expectation
Just returned from a 3 night stay at The Radisson Blu. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The hotel is faultless; I stayed on the 17th floor, great view! The beds were very very comfortable. The bathroom and room were spotlessly clean. The rooms were nice and quiet, I couldn’t hear anyone in other rooms when in my own. Thank you for a great stay I will stay again when I return to Birmingham.
Very mediocre Hotel services for the money. The sink in the room had pubic hair in it upon our arrival, when using said sink the drains appeared to 'back-up' and the smell was very unpleasant. The lift keys failed twice during our weekend visit, the bed was uncomfortable, I followed this stay with 3 night in a Travelodge which was more comfortable and a third of the price. The shower did not work on the final morning and to cap it all I was robbed of £20 for the Breakfast which was mediocre at best.
Went to see a band in the O2 so stayed here aswalkable. Welcomed by receptionist and booked in within minutes and she was so lovely and friendly gave us directions for food and drink. Room was spacious, comfortable and wamwith plenty of tea and coffee. Ordered breakfast to be delivered to the room in the morning bargain at £4!! The breakfast was yummy and deleivered at the exact time requested and was pipig hot. Had an amazing time staying here and would go again any time
Me and my girlfriend went to the Raddison on the 14th for Valentines, the room was great and we didn't have a single issue with it, staff seemed friendly and also let us keep our bags whilst we went around Birmingham for us to collect later, breakfast was excellent and had a wide range of choice. The location is great as everything is in a 10 minute walk radius also. Would highly recommend and visit again.
Perfectly located for the city and station. Rooms great with good views across the cityscape. Food was good though menu not comprehensive. If staying more than two nights you might struggle with lack of variety. Atmosphere of bar relaxed and friendly. Would definitely use again when next in Birmingham
I received a very warm welcome by Abigail. My request for a quiet room was granted. The room was modern and clean. The bathroom had complimentary toiletries, towels felt luxurious. Amy and Abigail provided some birthday treats eg happy birthday written in chocolate on a plate with deserts, slippers and bathrobe and drinks with dinner. It really made me feel valued as a customer. My package included a three course dinner, I had squid to start followed by fish and chips. Both were well presented and tasted lovely. Portions were so generous that I could not eat the desert. Breakfast was certainly one of the best I've ever had. It is a buffet which includes fresh salmon, loose leaf herbal drinks, squeeze your own orange juice and items made to order at no additional costs e.g. eggs Benedict. It was just amazing. Checking out at 12 enabled me to have a leisurely morning. The reason I did not give a score of five as I deducted half a point for the woman who bought the heater, no interpersonal skills at all and half a point as restaurant staff added the cost of my meal to the bill even though I advised on arrival that it was a package and again to the supervisor when I was asked to sign the receipt. This issue was resolved on check out by Abigail. I would definitely return and would recommend.
Fantastic brand, and I've stayed in Radisson Blu's before in Bristol and Manchester. Nice design and usually pretty upmarket. I had high expectations of the Birmingham location. High points. Loads of USB sockets in the room, 4 in total. Nice big bed on the 15th floor with a majestic view over......Birmingham. Gym was good, no pool. I skipped breakfast and didn't touch the bar. Low points. Super noisy AC. Reminded me of being on an aircraft, that kind of intrusive low whistling sound from the vent. Perhaps a baffle was stuck open or something? I ended up with ear plugs. If you have tinitus, you would definitely give this a miss. The location is 50/50. Handy for New Street, about 800 metres away, but it is in a pretty rough area of the city centre. "How was your stay sir?". I told them about the noisy AC and how it had really ruined my stay. "Do you want your receipt in an envelope?". And......were done here.
The hotel room was clean and cosy. staff were friendly enough. but still, no explanation of the extra 300 pounds they took from my direct debit without any warning also extra 50 pounds charge per night with was unexplained for when we got there. So overall 500pounds! to stay for 2 nights when the original price was 200GBP.. Avoid this hotel if you don't want to be ripped off!!!!!
Only stayed in this hotel for one night and pleased we did as we had the surprise of the parking fee when we arrived. The hotel has no parking but can give you discount parking for the multi storey behind it which is charged at £16 for 24 hours. Apart from parking the hotel was very nice. Room was lovely and staff were friendly. The floor to ceiling windows in the rooms are really nice but the view is poor.
