A good clean well run Hotel. I have stayed here on a few occasions now with work and the service is quick and friendly with the staff going out of their way to help you. The food is good enough for the money and the breakfast selection is great. Football and Rugby on in the bar with a nice relaxed atmosphere. Rooms are large and the beds are comfy not to soft but not like a brick. For short stays in the area I highly recommend good access to M6 and close to the Ricoh Arena with great shopping available there.

Hotel is being renovated and it is in dire need of a renovation. However the major complaint is the food.... a mixed salad with Kraft dressing and most likely the worst chili that I have ever tasted was north of 20 pounds. When I was asked for feedback by the waiter he responded that the I did see the prices before I ordered... yes I did see the prices but I didn't taste the food. Will stay clear of this joint for the rest of my life...rant over

Very poor reception on television. Toilet not cleaned for weeks most cobwebs ever seen in a hotel. Under renovation not known to us. Disturbed both mornings by room service. Most staff helpful and welcoming.

I stayed at Novotel Coventry for one night as part of a coach trip to Royal Leamington Spa and the Cotswolds. The hotel is a traditional Novotel with moulded sink units, separate toilets in the rooms, a door that connects the next bedroom and artex walls. I imagine some rooms have been refurbished as part of a bigger programme to update the hotel. The lobby and bar are modern and welcoming with new furniture. The carpet in the restaurant could probably do with replacing but a good hotel and what makes it that are the team of staff. Waiting staff were hard-working, polite, friendly and professional. They make the hotel worthy of it's three star rating. Keep on building that great attitude.

Poor hotel with not a great on offer, I had a room next to the lift which wasn’t great, room smelt of smoke and just wasn’t what I was expecting! Breakfast wasn’t the best either, staffing very rude and mostly didn’t speak English very well

Was there on a training weekend. Friendly staff, excellent food and a very pleasant atmosphere. Such a difference from another large Coventry hotel where we usually run our courses. Hard to fault this place and would recommend.

Bedrooms clean and comfortable. Reception was like the Marie Celeste, stood for ten minutes without anyone attending. Some staff were very good whilst others did not seem to want to be there, ie bar tender was rude saying ‘next’!! Restaurant was mediocre. Good breakfast and lunch but evening meal was disappointing. Considering it was a set menu there was extended delays with some of our party receiving their starters and mains after most were nearly finished. Waited 40 minutes for a banana split only to be served with a small under ripe banana, a minuscule amount of ice cream and a drizzle of chocolate sauce. No cream or finesse

Stopped here with a colleague position was good just off the M6 easy to get to ...not my choice of place to stay but needs must The service and staff were excellent and friendly but the hotel it’s self is looking tired and could do with a clean ,table in my room was sticky I had to wipe it down carpets looking worn and the decor from the 80s ,although the bed was comfortable We ate here in the evening and the food was average but again service was good which made up for it We were booked in for breakfast and this looked good with a good selection although I only had the coffee All in all don’t think I would choose here again

We were on an organised trip with this hotel booked for us, very clean & tidy, had tea & coffee facilities with extra available at reception. Shower over the bath - easy to use, plenty of hot water & complimentary toiletries available. Good sized to in room. Breakfast next morning was a great choice from cereals, continental style & traditional fry up. Would stay again.

I was a little sceptical about how our stay after reading more recent reviews, but I can honestly say I couldn't see anything wrong with my room or communal areas. The hotel was clearly build a number of years ago, but my room had bee refreshed and the bathroom refitted within recent years. The bed was super comfy, breakfast was vast and tasty. I only knock off a mark for the slow service at check in. It was a bit of a faff to get two rooms on one bill as we were travelling on business. Once this was sorted all was well
