Would definitely stay here again & recommend this for anyone looking for a hotel to use in Birmingham. So incredibly close to all the main spots & staff at front Desk were so helpful, couldn’t have done more for us!
Have stayed here at least 15 times but sadly this will be our last. Check in queue was ridiculous, two people on reception took well over 30mins standing in the queue. Was informed before stay that it was for a birthday and was promised card, drink vouchers in room (we got nothing) room was ridiculously hot couldn't sleep at all, I can't have air con on due to chest problems. There is no longer the little touches in the room toiletries etc. The car park price is also crazy £18 and that's with a discount. Cleanliness was also very poor, the lifts took forever the list unfortunately is too long that we would not stay again
Really good location almost opposite the theatre. Very stylish, comfy room. We had a double and a twin both of which were well appointed. Full bath and shower over, great big towels and nice toiletries. Only downside was that we were charged for items from the minibar (which we hadn’t used) after we checked out but this was resolved quickly when I noticed the charge and rang up to challenge it. Very good breakfast
Centrally located right near the Mailbox, Broad street, Bradley place and Bull ring. Nice rooms well decorated and a great breakfast. The wifi is free throughout the hotel and works. A nice place to stay in the middle of Birmingham
Don’t waste your money on this hotel! Rooms are dated, bar area not great and beer flat! Apparently this was because it was being poured into warm glasses! We were charged for items in the mini bar which we did not have.. although this was refunded when I complained. Breakfast was luke warm and restaurant had a stale smell. We paid for an upgraded room which was a total waste of money! This was my 2nd time of staying at this hotel and we will not be returning!
We went to the restaurant and the food was amazing,it gave us an amazing buffet starter and the main was amazing, the deserts weren't that great though . The staff were really nice and the drinks were amazing.
Came for anniversary had a voucher from Christmas had been previous year to Cheltenham dreadful there too but thought it was in Birmingham would be better. It was busy and we were squashed in so not really very romatic. Too much sweet produce - hamburger!!!! no sandwiches where were the cheese finger sandwiches ? two minute wraps and tiny rye bread with minute smoke salmon. Scones too doughy sweets too much and cheap produce - we did have a box of our own theirs too flimsy to take home what would have put us into a diabetic coma. We were asked if we wanted more tea we said yes never came so we left. NOT RECOMMEDED hope we do not get another voucher. Please review your menu.
Lovely hotel in the heart of the city with everything on the door step. Staff are super, rooms are quirky but really tastefully finished and bed really comfortable. Unfortunately I only had time to grab fruit for breakfast but looking at the quality of food I feel I missed out.
Stayed one night on visit to Brum. Great location near to New Street station - once you can find your way out! Check in staff very friendly and our room was clean and well appointed. Just next to MailBox where you can blow £££ on the fancy shops or eat for slightly less in some of the restaurants tucked out the back.
A perfect autumnal day in Birmingham, what could go wrong? Well the Malmaisson lived up to that, with a poor room, lack of attention to detail and service in the restaurant so slow, that for Dinner and Breakfast it was far from a £200+ plus per night stay. To take your order for Dinner, recommend a wine to partner your choices, then be told after your bottle has been opened that they’ve run out of your starter, is disappointing. The waiting for service was endless on both occasions, yet so many people were serving! The room, a real let down, see the photos.......but, the location is excellent. So close to all of the most desired areas, however I am sure that for a saving, other Hotels locally do all the poor parts so much better
