Unfortunately this was a very bad experience for our trip to Birmingham. The apartment was as advertised, from the photos, but there is actually no gym or pool access unless you're staying longer-term. Besides that, the communication with the host was terrible. We did not receive check-in information 24 hours prior to check-in time, as our previous correspondence had indicated. We were there for a music festival and did not check-in until about 11:00 pm and the door code AND QR code to enter the building both did not work. I messaged her on the app and called her and were finally able to get in 40 min after arriving at the front door. Once in, we were able to get in to the apartment. We never received a working door code to get into the building after multiple attempts, and the host's solution was to call her when we needed to get in. What if we were coming and going often throughout the day? This is not a feasible solution. We had to talk to the various door people every day before we left to try to ensure we had a way to get in, since we were getting in late from the music festival each day. They told us to get a new code from the host and tried every day and was told there was no way to get a new code and to just message her when we needed to get in. Not a solution.We also never got a parking pass for the garage and the street parking is all paid parking, which was not stated when I asked about parking earlier.
