Great room with stunning floor to ceiling windows and views of the city, good breakfast and lovely reception staff. Disappointing gentleman and scholars bar staff and very expensive. Complained but not taken seriously. Shame because it tarnished our wedding anniversary celebrations. Great hotel but avoid the bar.
We stayed with our young baby. All staff were brilliant and very helpful. The room was very clean and housekeeping responsive to requests. Reception and concierge staff were also very attentive and nothing seemed too much trouble
Great hotel...Staff welcoming and friendly..Got locked in the bathroom of my room and the lock had to be busted open...We were swiftly moved to another room and on checkout our bar bill of £30 was wavered as a good will gesture which was appreciated...Will return to this hotel again..
Missing items ordered for breakfast in room, locker in pool area was broken, wear and tear in room however slept well and rest of hotel good condition. Staff were friendly and helpful would stay again
My wife and I had a wonderful weekend stay in Birmingham at the Hyatt. The hotel was very nice inside and out with a large comfortable room. The Hyatt is in a great location with lots of restaurants, points of interest, shopping and train station within easy walking distance. My wife and I spent several hours at the indoor pool area, which had lots of options; very relaxing. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Excellent Hotel, friendly and efficient staff and great location. Just a short walk into the City centre with no issues given surrounding building work. The staff go out of their way to may you feel very welcome and are so friendly
Have stayed here around 6 times over last ten years and this place is all about consistency- in a good way. Priscilla set the tone at check-in with a professional style- great. First time I haven't stayed in a club room, which I'd recommend if staying longer. (great views and excellent club lounge). Requested a canal side view which was honoured. Room was only area for some minor improvements- desk was chipped in several places, marks on the tv cabinet too. Lining was hanging away from the underside of the desk chair, one of the phones had some sort of congealed white stuff on it and the old hotel guide book needs updating- bar pravda hasn't existed for some time. I didn't mind, it's minor but writing it here in the spirit of constructive feedback- room 912. Otherwise room was well appointed and most importantly, I had a brilliant sleep! The staff are excellent in this hotel, every interaction was positive and this stands out in the UK given the variable quality of staff training in many hotels. Locker door was jammed in the pool changing rooms and wouldn't unlock- they sorted it; quickly. (By the way, the lockers really do need some instructions on how to lock as they aren't obvious to work (or I'm not very bright!) They delivered an extra bathrobe within 5 mins when I requested it at 12.30 am. Staff in atrium were warm and professional. Breakfast in bed- on time and was good, they forgot the pastries but we didn't make a fuss as didn't have any more room for them. The hotel is very well located, within 15 minutes to New Street station and with many restaurants and bars nearby. Will certainly continue choosing to stay here when in Birmingham- well done Hyatt.
Stayed here for 2 nights, very nice hotel, no faults. Lovely door staff, decor, atmosphere. Only fault would be a delay with food service in the bar however we were not charged for a drink because of this to apologise and we appreciated this gesture. We had a nice view of some of the beautiful architecture in Birmingham however family we were there with had a building site view but that is because the city is being completely renovated and I look forward to returning once it's complete! Hotel close to city centre and train station. 10 minutes from airport Would definitely stay again!
structure is old and needs refurbishing, bathroom was awful, shower was bad, toiled dint flush properly, elevators were old and buttons didnt work well, overall it felt like a old soviet hotel. staff was nice, bed was confortable.
Room was very nice and hotel was central. Was only here for one night for concert but if wanted to use NEC easy access to it. Booking in was easy and station was about 20 minutes walk through town. Free wifi and good desk which swivelled....liked that feature
