Stayed here for one night for an event at the NIA. Having just come from an average hotel experience in London I was blown away by how nice and well appointed this hotel was, my only negative was not having enough time to enjoy it. We requested a room on a high floor overlooking the canal (without paying the extra for the top two floors) and were not disappointed. The view was superb with floor to ceiling windows and added to how great our room was. The magazines and chair were perfect to sit, relax and watch life go by on the canalside. Staff were really friendly and welcoming and now I wouldn't want to stay anywhere else in central Birmingham.

Pleasant enough hotel that is well placed in the city centre. Easy walk to the train stations and in to town. The room we had was ok nothing special really. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Room was clean and tidy. Good enough for an over night stay.

The resturant service is to slow didnt have time to finish meal on night of thearter, the following night mains were very poor quality, but breakfast good. Watch out for the road works, was very lucky there was a space for our car at the hyatt, all staff fantastic.......

Very well located hotel but getting a little dated and bar staff not on the ball. Room very noisy from adjacent properties and street. Reception and parking very good. Overall cost a little expensive.

First the good points. Great if you are visiting Symphony Hall as there is a link across, so no need to step outside. Great comfy bed Decent sized room Attentive staff Bad points: Birmingham is currently undergoing vast road construction and the site office appears to be right next to the hotel. The team work all night and are quite noisy and I woke up quite a few times during the night. The room felt quite 90’s, like telephone sockets, but no usb power sockets, so could be improved upon. The lcd tv had a strange feature, the screen has a dark lower half which is strange. I stayed in room 1109.

Hyatt was central to brimingham City Centre but unfortunately was also surrounded by construction work. To be fair there was no loud noise from the construction but it did ruin the surroundings landscape and views. All of the hotel staff we come in to contact with was welcoming and helpful. Lobby area was amazing room were good. Would definitely stay again.

I stayed to attend a conference at the ICC. The entire area around the hotel seemed to currently be a building site. Although my stay was perfectly acceptable, I was expecting something more from a 4* hotel. Thank goodness I got a preferential rate by booking through the conference organisers. A complimentary biscuit to have with my in-room tea/coffee would have been nice. And the shower........not sure who designed their bathrooms but the showerhead was fixed to the wall and below head height once you stepped into the bath. I'm 5' 6" so not exactly the tallest but even I had to crick my neck to wash my hair. I had expected something above standard from the Hyatt brand but this felt decidely standard.

This was our third stay and we were given room 2311, with views over Broad Street and beyond. Decor was smart in light grey and white. The Club lounge was very good, with generous food offers and drinks for two hours every evening.

I think it depends what your expectations are. It’s a really nice modern hotel and I’d definitely recommend it although there are plenty of other places in Birmingham that are just as good. Good location on broad street close to Symphony Hall/Brindley Place

Loved this hotel, it was absolutely beautiful and such a great breakfast was served. Staff were mostly friendly. Close to the Christmas markets and New Street train station, which is useful. Overall, would love to go back.
