Arrive Bintulu in the late evening. It happens to be the house is locked without a key to enter. No choice, have to check in hotel for one night stay. As we check in around 8 plus pm, the reception staff actually agreeable that we can check out as late as 1pm the next day. As we need to spend some time to get the home key. However, another reception staff still rush us to check out at 12pm in the morning. Thought there will be certain kind of communication between the staffs like written remarks. Otherwise, the cleanliness of the room is acceptable and all the necessary facilities are provided. The jogging pathway which is located next to the Swimming pool is a bonus point! This is certainly a very good photo spot.
The rooms and facilities are well-maintained despite being one of the old hotels in Bintulu town. The restaurants have pleasant ambience, clean and spacious. I find the older properties like Park Everly has bigger room space as well as the bathrooms compared to newer properties / hotels. Staff are polite and helpful. Beautiful sunset and sea view from the back of the Hotel. Excellent walking pathways / jogging track facing the seaview and well-kept lawn.
Check in was done smoothly i even get room upgrade . Thanks for that . Very reasonable price . Surprising hotel do have a swimming pool . Its quite old hotel yet it well maintain and cleaned . Efficient ground staffs . Overall i love the hotel .
Worst hotel! Get cheated by their reception during check in. I’m was asking for them to provide me with Standard room rate for the Deluxe room due to my stay will be two weeks here. He said it can be done. After 8 days of stay, found out they charge me with Deluxe room rate. Their supervisor said they never promise me anything regarding to that. I check out immediately on next morning. There is plenty of newer and better hotel in this town. By the way, internet is useless here.
Parkcity Everly Hotel Bintulu although old hotel but staff are efficient, friendly and courteous. Rooms are spacious, breakfast spread expectable for the price you pay...its a steal. Somehow its quite far from town but taxis are available. The hotel total coverage areas unique in the sense that you can have your morning walk in the surrounding environment or walk out to the main street, or swim in the pool near the gym and coffee house at the basement. Its environment is superb for families.....mainly for relaxation and peaceful sceneries. They also have great ballroom and meeting rooms. The hotel could do with basic painting so as to be presentable.
This is one of the old hotels of Bintulu. Rooms are old but maintained. Bed sheets and towels are good. Rooms are having hot water kettle to make tea and coffee. Restaurant is good. Various options are available for breakfast. Staff is very good and friendly.
At first site the hotel needs a bit of maintenance - some of the paintwork is stained and the entire hotel needs painting. Rooms OK but the internet is terrible - one cant do a business trip with such slow internet. Breakfasts the same each morning with awful coffee. The price is OK and the swimming pool is great - really huge.
Very decent rates, good breakfast, clean, friendly staff. A bit eerie. I suspect the room I had was not occupied for some time as it had a musty smell. The hotel was also very quiet. Quality of sleep was not great as all four pillows were lumpy
Had to rewrite this review because the internet cut out on me while writing it the first time. Impossible to Skype with my wife back home. The hotel itself is not bad, but when you're overseas on business not being able to keep in contact with family back home is frustrating.
Sad to say after coming here for 5 years the hotel still has not learnt that smoking is unacceptable in hotel rooms. What makes it worse is the overuse of the air freshener to disguise the smoke that has impregnated the soft furnishings and carpet. I am on a non smoking floor, the person in the adjacent room is smoking, the hallway smells of smoke, thus my room smells of smoke (although at the moment it is a mixture of smoke and freshener). To be fair they tried to offer me an upgraded room for a few days until capacity is lower and can find me a non stinky room, but moving after 3 days when I need to settle for work is a hindrance I could do without (plus I could not tell if it too stank of smoke because of the overused air freshener). I like the people here, and the location, but hygiene and sleep is important to me while working, and smoking kills, so why would I want that? I will update this depending on management decisions....
