Bed bugs in bed and bugs on lamo

One night was fine. I wouldn’t stay more than one. The smell of weed was outrageous. I felt a little uneasy having my kids here. Staff = awful. Beds were comfortable though and we made it. But I doubt we will ever stay here again.

I checked in around 3:40pm. I was visiting my son who is in the Air Force. There was an air show. We just left our luggage in the room went to finish watching the air show and have something to eat. Came back to the room around 7:00pm to find the same nasty smell we left. We thought it was because the AC wasn’t on when we arrived, but no it was still there after an hour of being in the room my grandson started having an allergy reaction to the room he couldn’t even breathe and coughing nonstop. I had to go to the front desk where the woman at the front desk didn’t even pay any attention to me. I had to put my grandson in the car while I was getting in touch with orbitz to try to solve the problem. I had to check out and had literally no place to go. This place is not safe to stay its a health hazard.

The staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful. From there it was downhill...Fast! They did appear to be doing a remodel/update on the day I was leaving so hopefully it remedies the problems. Mostly it was just old, felt even dirtier than it looked. A few things they could do to make it better, Not have the dumpsters emptied at 2.30am, Fix the broken things in the rooms like lights, receptacles, etc. The sink wouldnt drain due to improper repairs. Due to being the cheapest price on the strip it doesnt have the best clientele. Fighting guests, loud cars, etc. Hopefully it was a full remodeling taking place and if so Id give it another another try next time Im in town. I would think an increase in the prices would help also. Until I see a review from after the work is done Ill rate it a D-

It’s not a bad place to stay when you need a bed at the end of the day. It’s across the street from the beach, which is great. That’s the only special amenity of this place. On the down side, it doesn’t feel safe with all the people who hang around and who appear to live there. When you walk around, there is a smell of weed in every corner. For safety reasons, we will not be back. The cops needs to clean this place out.

CONVIENIENT AND VERY NICE

Could been a little cheap property old

1st room had an unpleasant smell. Did an inspection for bed bugs and German roaches. I'm a pest control technician. No bed bugs. However found German roaches. There was some type of dust around the beds I think maybe an insecticide. Mattress protector on box spring had dust and dirt build up. Cleanliness was very poor. German roaches were found in refrigerator and microwave. Location is very dated and could use some upgrades. Went to office and informed staff about German roach activity I requested to be put in another room. The staff happily switched rooms. During my inspection of second room no bed bug or German roach activity was observed. However, cleanliness of second room was worse than first room. Room had a moldy closed up smell. The mattresses are very uncomfortable one of the beds was broken. There was hair in the shower on the floor and on the sheets. Hair did not belong to me or my children. Not very impressed with property. I feel I should get a refund.

Needs to be updated it was ok for a one night stay saw mold in bathroom. I would stay again if the price is cheaper then what we paid

Dingy old property. Decent bed and TV but place just has a negative feel about it.

Great location just across the street from the beach. Friendly staff

Property was ok.

A decent no-frills hotel in close proximity to the beach. Perhaps they remodel every so often as they can afford? I'm simply not going to pay what most of the area hotels want for just myself (as I was on a business stay).:

Staff was super nice and properly wasn’t bad just noisy people up all hours of the night with loud music and talking loud

I didnt even take my bags out of the car . Place was infested with roaches . I immediatly went to office & left . I was evacuated from hurricane & there were no hotels anywhere but i still wouldnt stay there .i had to 2 hours to find another room .it was that disgusting

The property was in a prime location, but the environment was sketchy, w/too many people lurking around the property. Very uneasy feeling, as it looked like people were living there, sitting in chairs on the balcony and clothes hanging outside to dry. I guess w/the price some things are expected, but not that. Did not feel safe w/our belongings there, and left immediately.
