Red Roof Inn Gulfport - Biloxi Airport2.0 out of 5.0

We chose this hotel as a stop mid way on a trip from FL to TX. Our purpose was simply to sleep then leave early the next day. Mission accomplished. We liked the laminate floors inside the rooms as opposed to indoor/outdoor carpet. We are traveling with a small dog. It was nice to know if there was an accident, that clean up would be simple. It is also nice to know that the floors were mopped instead of vacuumed in the event that precious patrons also had pets. Parking nice. Easy to back up...unload/load. Only 2 complaimts. Both stays there were several issues regarding the keyless entry system. Both visits there were TV issues. No WiFi.
clean and a good value convenient quiet other than on the flight path for the airport but rooms wer clean and noise was hardly noticeable in the room adequate breakfast bar with the usual selections and the desk personnel were helpful.
We evacuated South Florida during Hurricane Irma and booked a 3 night stay (20 hour drive). This Motel is in the hood. There is section 8 housing sharing spaces with the hotel. The first room they gave (#421) us had blood on walls, brown poop looking stains on sheets, mold in bathroom, and trash on the floor. I am pretty confident this room was condemned and they were not supposed to renting it out at all. After complaining the manager apologizes and said they had a very nice room available. The second room still had mold in the bathroom, smelled awful but at least there were no blood or poop stains. It was after midnight, we were running on fumes and highly stresses so we asked if we could stay there 1 night, instead of the 3 we had booked and we would find somewhere else in the morning. The "owner" said No, stay here 3 nights or don't stay at all. We decided to leave at 2am with nowhere else to go. This goes to show you how bad this place is and how cold hearted this owner is. I wouldn't stay at a Red Roof Inn again if my life depended on it. I have photos of the room and owner and will be sharing with corporate.
Julia the front desk attendant was so attentive to are needs we felt she rolled the red carpet out for us at the red roof .The continental breakfast was fresh and a eye opener for the day ahead.Clean rooms and lobby in the middle of renavation the management staf nows how to run a good place to stay and how to hier staff.
Sorry I'll never stay here again. First they gave us 1 double room saying it was a king bed but that was quickly fixed. The room smelled like cigarette smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. We were suppose to stay 2 nights but only stayed one night. Fridge in the room was missing also.
We were evacuating from hurricane Irma and this was the closest hotel we could find available. Rates were reasonable and they accept pets. Staff was very friendly, from front desk, to maid service to workers who were renovating some rooms. Beds were comfy, water hot. Coffee maker and fridge in room. No microwave or safe in rooms. Cleanliness of room was acceptable but the carpet had stains. I think all pet friendly hotels should go with laminate flooring, but that is my personal opinion. Easy to get to, right off the 10. Walmart across the street and many dining options on the same block. About 30 min away from Biloxi casinos and an hour to New Orleans. Overall, this is a 2 star property, so you can't complain. If traveling with furry friends again, (or on a budget) we would stay here again.
The beds in this hotel are so comfortable! And you don't need a ladder to climb into them. I really can't say enough about these beds. The linens and pillows we're great for the perfect night's sleep.
Never again will we stay at a Red Roof Inn ANYWHERE. This location/motel is one of the worse in Gulfport,MS and unfortunately we paid $167.99 for one night on 7/22/2017. This motel is almost a dumpster of a place (from the surrounding to the room itself). Because we had a long drive with 3 children in the van we opted to stay here. Although availability was scarced around Gulfport for that Saturday, it was unreasonable to be charged the above amount for this type of motel.
I do not know where to start, how to explain how great of a stay we had. The staff at this hotel is amazing, everyone from the front desk, the kitchen&breakfast, the housekeeping and all. Always a smile, always ready to help out. The breakfast is warm&cold which differs a bit day to day. The rooms are roomy with a nice bath, kitchen area with fridge, microwave oven and coffee maker. The pool area is clean and in the more quiet area, the gym is small but has the most important amenities. I highly recommend this hotel if you need a place to stay in Gulfport.
My wife and I were celebrating our 6 year anniversary with a concert at a local casino. We are from Alabama and while searching online for rooms, it was one of the most reasonable spots for the price. Although the airport is a few blocks away, it wasn't bad. Staff nice & decently clean rooms.
