We booked the trip through EasyJet and had issues with them not responding, after these frustrations with them I contacted the hotel directly and the issues were resolved straight away. The staff were friendly and accommodating, I would not hesitate to book a room here again, this time directly though I would add.

Great hotel, ideally located for exploring the beautiful city! Rooms clean and comfortable! Hotel staff very helpful! Don’t bother with breakfast room only will suffice, lovely breakfast in nearby bar ! Typical Bilbao style breakfast ! Would definitely recommend!

Location is good and room was fine, clean and quiet. However, the breakfast was very disappointing. The problems appeared to stem from the lack of staff. Despite an apparently busy holiday time not enough people were on the floor. On both mornings we were ther, two wait staff were attempting to keep the show on the road, clearing tables, running in and out with extra food and keeping the table ware and cutlery supplies available. They were failing miserably and looked quite stressed. On one of the morninngs I had to ask for glasses for juice, plates for bread and cups for coffee. I didn’t even bother asking for saucers! The dining room was chaotic and the food was only satisfactory. This is a four star hotel. Unfortunately, the breakfast would hardly be two star standard. On a positive note, I would commend the reception staff, particularly Dario, who were very friendly and helpful.

Good location with easy access to old town, the food market and museums. Rooms are nice and quiet and quite modern and clean. Problems are....no water in the room and extortionate prices for a bottle from minibar....come on guys you can spare a bottle of water for guests surely? We experienced a “funny” smell throughout our stay...not pleasant. No tea and coffee facilities in room...I nearly got wrestled to the floor by the maid whilst trying to make a cuppa in the bar (admittedly just outside the minuscule time window they will let you have one in the bar)....the Basque temperament is quite abrupt! Anyhow....local bars are great for pinxchos and wine and Guggenheim is worth a trip for a laugh at how preptentious modern art can be...my favourite “installation” being the stack of plastic chairs....inspired and thought provoking (did I really pay good money for this?!)

Stayed 2 nights in a standard room which was large, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff were very helpful in a number of ways including recommendations for eating and drinking in town and help with I.T. Horacio and Sara. . . .thank you for helping make our stay enjoyable.

Nice modern hotel perfectly located in the heart of Bilbao with walking distance to both the Old Town “Casco Viejo” and the Guggenheim Museum. Also in the middle of the shopping district (El Corte Ingles is just down the street) and a lot of nice restaurants.

Nice modern hotel inside an older facade, we loved it. Great location near Gran Via and Corte Ingles etc plus close to all the shops my wife liked. Good public transport nearby if you want to venture further afield. The city isn’t huge so if you’re relatively mobile you can get to most of the attractions on foot like the Guggenheim, the old town etc. We got a taxi from the airport @ €26 but on the way back the bus from outside the Carlton hotel on the Gran Via (7 minute walk from hotel and €1.45 fare) Lots of little bars etc nearby, none too pricey, but a lot of them were closed on a Sunday, as were most of the shops. If you need anything on a Sunday, there is a little supermarket on the platform at the nearby Abando railway station. Only a couple of niggles...our room was incredibly warm and the A/C didn’t seem to be able to cool it down. The housekeeper just switched it off completely but it was still warm. The window had a lock on it and there was no key to open it. She did it as she had a key but the next day the window was locked again. Also, a very British thing, we would have loved tea/coffee/kettle in the room. I know this is available in upgrade rooms but I think it should be universal. A small point. Overall we really enjoyed our stay . The staff were lovely, helpful and the big fella on breakfast duty was a real character. We’ll be back and would thoroughly recommend.

This hotel is in an ideal location for bars, restaurants, Guggenheim, Bilbao FC, Old Town and the Funicular and much more. The hotel is modern, very clean and the staff are polite. We stayed here twice within the week and both rooms, although standard, were of a very good specification. A huge super king size bed, tv, walk in shower coffee table and chair, safe, spaciousness abound. Outside drinks and socialising area with jacuzzi which will be nice when the weather improves later in the year. Check prices regularly for a good deal and book it!

Very clean and professional hotel. Beds are very comfy and rooms are a great size. We did not pay extra for breakfast and I was a little disappointed that there was no tea/coffee making facilities especially as when unwell, I had to pay €3 for a small cup of tea. But good location and very comfortable.

Have just spent 3 nights at this lovely hotel for our wedding anniversary and can't fault it.Firstly it is amodern well decorated hotel and spotless. Our room was a standard but it was still very big ,bed was huge with mini bar safe and large screen tv .We booked breakfast which again was excellent with hot food ,cold meats fruit , cereal and pastries so plenty of choice for everyone. The reception staff were courteous very friendly and helpful and made checking in and out straightforward. The location is ideal as it is 2mins from El Corte Ingles and 5 mins from the main shopping area and there are plenty of pinxtos bars close to the hotel. Also its a short walk to Casco Viejo and a pleasant walk along the river to the Guggenheim museum . I would recommend this hotel for a stay in Bilbao.
