Hotel Sercotel Coliseo

Rooms are airy, sophisticated and feel like the best guest suite you ever imagined. The hotel is on a quiet street yet you can reach all the squares, cafes and the river within 20 minutes' walk. Parking is under the hotel yet accessed by driving several blocks around, so that can be tricky.

Suppose to have parking. Full. We had to park in an underground garage down the street. Less then convenient. Lobby on second floor. Don't like. Our room had two levels with stairs. Though spacious, it was a pain for using the bathroom particularly at night. We had to keep a light on so we could negotiate the stairs. No hot water the first night. Bummer. Complicated safe. The room was quiet. The breakfasts were average with stupid toasting machine. First hotel on our trip without fresh orange juice. Good location and wifi. Staff a bit peculiar at times.

Hotel is conveniently located a 5 min walk from the train and not more than a 25 min walk from basically anywhere else you'd want to go. The service was good-- quite friendly staff, though they could be a bit quicker to help and greet people at the desk, and the rooms and communal spaces were kept spotless. Extra benefits are a gym, though it smelled strongly of smoke, and a lovely terrace space in the center of the hotel, except smoking is permitted there so, as someone who wants to avoid it, I was forced to avoid what would be a lovely space. The rooms were quite spacious and well appointed. I do wish they had a full shower curtain or wall. The half glass is insufficient and water gets on the floor. Cost was good too. We paid somewhere around $110/day without breakfast and for a 4 star hotel we were quite happy.

Very nice hotel with good service and good price/quality rooms Situated close to the old town, 10 minutes walk and close to some of the best pinxtos bars in Bilbao Service is very good. Rooms are modern and spacious, possibility to upgrade the room at arrival (honestly it is not needed because the normal room has already such a good quality).

We are spending 2 night in Bilbao -- arrived from Madrid by train ay 1PM and walked the 250 yards from the station to the Hotel. It is well located (next to Casino) and within walking distance of the major attractions. The reception was excellent and the room is spotless, well equipped and has a King-size bed -- which is difficult to find in Europe. Staff was friendly and made great suggestions for lunch and dinner.

My room was probably the worst room in the hotel. When I open the curtain, all I can see is a white wall. There is no hot water kettle in the room so there is nothing to drink in the middle of the night. I just did not feel right in the room. There is also a big pillar in the middle of the room, so we you get up at night you really have to be careful you do not bump into it!!!!! The location of the hotel is very good though as it is close to the museum and Old Town.

The hotel is great: the rooms are very comfortable, the patio is an excellent place to hang out and the support staff was great through and through. My one issue was the construction that was going on at the Casino right next door. From 8am until 6pm, I was disturbed by noises ranging from a slightly annoying hum to a sleep-ending BANG BANG of construction. Although the hotel gave me free late checkout after I informed them of the issue, it definitely made the experience far worse. Put people in rooms away from the construction or at least let them know beforehand!

Great accomadition ,right in the heart of Bilboa alot of shopping in the area within walking distance to mall . Plenty of bars and restaurants for your liking. Rooms are spacious and the wi fi is excellent the breakfast is very good also definately recommend this hotel if your in the area

The hotel is good, the staff helpful, the breakfast very good, the room nice. There was only one annoyance and that was the door of the room. It squeaked terribly when opening or closing it, which shurely must have been heard in other rooms. A few drops of oil?

Stauted for 4 nights in August. Located close to the railway station and shopping area. The hotel is modern with excellent staff who are more than happy to help with any problems. There are a ca couple of reasons why this has a 3 star rating for us. The hotel has no pool but does have a gym. The gym is adjacent to an outdoor area close to the bar. We are serious athletes and the gym is very basic and smells of smoke. This is a serious concern for us. The gym needs some ventilationand possibly a spin bike and foam rollers. Our roomwas at the front of the hotel and for some unknown reason the sink until position means you cannot sit straight on the toilet. Such an odd design error. We have stayed all over the world and would use the hotel again but it is really a 3 star rating but a very nice stay.
