Spent two nights at this hotel during our first visit to Bilboa and found this to be an excellent choice. The location is ideal to explore the city being in such a central position. The room was very clean and modern and of a very generous size. Breakfast was very nice with a good variety of hot and cold food. We found the staff to be very pleasant and helpful and eager to explain the main visitor attractions in the city. A great hotel to stay if on short break.

We booked a basic room via the hotel's webpage for a two-night stay. Upon arrival we realised it was possible to upgrade to a premium room for 25 Euros a night and it was worth the extra. The room is more spacious, has tea/coffee making facilities and a bluetooth speaker. Everything is very clean and the complimentary toiletries are very good quality. The bed is very comfortable. The one thing to be aware of would be for rooms facing the street, it could get quite noisy on Friday/Saturday evenings. Just after making our booking, we emailed the hotel asking a number of questions and they replied with the information requested very quickly. The staff who helped us check in and check out (David and Dario) were very nice and answered many of our questions (even helped check out shops/restaurants opening times). Perhaps that was one of the perks of visiting in the low season because the hotel didn't look particularly busy during our stay. We had an early evening flight on the day we flew out and opted to do shopping in the area closer to the hotel prior to heading to the airport. When we got back to collect our luggage, we were very pleased to find that between the hours of 12noon to 16:30, we could get free teas and coffees in the restaurant. It was a very nice touch. The location of the hotel is convenient for most sight-seeing spots in Bilbao. For those travelling light, the airport bus (3247) stops near Moyua Square and it's about a 10-minute walk to the hotel. Single ticket costs 1.45 Euros for the 20-minute journey and can be purchased on the bus. If you arrive on a Friday or Saturday and do not know the location so well, it might be worth asking for some suggestions on restuarants and make booking in advance because most places close to the hotel appear to be extremely busy. The hotel does appear to have a very reasonably priced room service menu.

The hotel is located fairly centrally, perhaps a 10 minute walk from the main square, Plaza Moyúa, and just down from the main Corte Inglés department store. We requested a quiet room facing the inner courtyard and were happy to learn that this request had been granted upon check in, as the street-facing rooms are on a fairly busy road. We thought our room was great on the whole -clean and modern. The only downside was that there weren't any coffee-making facilities in our room and there was a strangely placed pillar in the middle of the room! There also wasn't an iron or ironing board in the room, which we would have found useful. My partner did, however, appreciate the Gol football channel on the TV! On the whole we'd say you can't really go wrong with this hotel and would recommend it as a place to stay in Bilbao.

The hotel is in perfect location just a few minutes walking from the train station and to the old part of the city. It is located in the center of the city . Being there you do not need a car since they are plenty of places to visit. The area is full of restaurants and a 10 minutes walk from the Guggenheim Museum. We loved the hotel , the room and the service. The receptionists were always very helpful and extremely nice with us. A soon as we arrived they offered us a promotion for a suite junior. The room was perfect with a lot of amenities and very confortable. We really enjoyed our stay there and we certainly come back in our next trip to Bilbao https://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g187451-d1438766-r542806537-NH_Gijon-Gijon_Asturias.html#

Stayed here for the weekend, really nice staff and great room. Very convenient for the main areas in town. I would highly recommend this hotel as a base to stay in Bilbao. Lots of restaurants and bars in the area.

This hotel was booked for us by a new Zealand travel agent, via their wholesaler. It was in a good position, supposed to be four stars and sufficient for a quick stay in Bilbao. ( three days was too short though as is tremendously interesting city) We were two couples, one lot in standard room which was very basic but clean, annoyingly nowhere to store suitcase. Other room was a Junior Suite which was large, coffee machine ( pods rationed to 2 at a time) ,nice bathroom, comfortable bed . Two things made this a memorably BAD STAY. The first is appallingly rude staff. NO eye contact at all at reception, very slapdash check in, brusque and rude and not at all welcoming. Over the two nights, three days we observed consistently the male staff putting the phone on hold and leaving it on hold until the clients simply hung up. It was pointless ringing reception to request any housekeeping items at all. I went down to the desk in person and requested two beer glasses and some ice, it STILL had NOT arrived 36 hours later when we checked out. The second thing was more frightening. On checking out, our party observed first hand the brazen THEFT of another client's suitcase from the reception area, less than one metre from where it was placed next to the man's wife seated in reception. The reception desk is on the second floor, anyone can walk in from the lifts off the street lobby. The staff could not work out how to replay the CCTV footage but finally it was played and it was all caught on film. The thief simply walked into reception and without pausing grabbed the suitcase and wheeled it away. The staff casually told the distressed American gentleman, who had lost his bag with his heart medication in, to go to the police. We were really shocked and pleased to leave. Think carefully about staying here and take lots of precautions with personal safety and luggage.

We booked this hotel through Agoda for 1 night. Our rate was 100 euros which was room only without breakfast. I probably would have given this stay 3.5 stars but because we did arrive around 12:30 and they let us check in early, it was greatly appreciated. We were in Room 451. The room was fine - nothing too special. We took the bus from Burgos to Bilbao and arrived at the Bilbao Bus Station. Then we took the Orange line metro for 1.60 euros per person for 2 stops to Moyua station. Then, it's about 5 minutes on foot. Upon leaving, we took Airport Bus A3247 for 1.45 euros per person. The stop is about a 7 minute walk from the hotel. As for the location, this hotel is fairly close on foot to Old Town and Guggenheim Museum. WIFI was complimentary and no complaints. I did have a couple of complaints. The safe did not work but since we were only there for 1 night, I did not mention this to them. Also, the floor was a little dirty in our room. Otherwise, the stay was fine and I would stay here again if the price was right.

The entrance door is very close to casino , but not so lively nor noisy! The front desk is on the upstairs and small. It seems to be a family managing hotel. The front man is very kind and friendly to the guest. Room is clean and good size. It is very good cost performance hotel.

This hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of many attractions. The rate was reasonable but it is shocking that a four star hotel would charge extra for an hour or two of late checkout. Parking is also available but expensive and extra for the late checkout. For a four star hotel not to have porter service (entrance on ground floor, reception on 2nd floor), no concierge, no valet parking (parking garage entrance is around the block, at the back of the building) is highly unusual.

The location of this hotel was great for touring around Bilbao. The room was fine but the view was into the courtyard and we wished that the windows opened. The reception staff was fine but the serving staff left a lot to be desired. No one ever acknowledged us and it was an effort to get any kind of service. It was nice that parking was included.
