Beautiful stone built 3 bedroom cottage with stunning views over the surrounding open countryside. Beech Cottage is situated on the 33,000 acres Douglas Estate. The cottage has been renovated and furnished to a 5 star standard and provides excellent accommodation from which to explore the surrounding areas. It is an ideal base for hill walking, fishing, wildlife and bird watching and sightseeing. Within an hour's drive of Glasgow and Edinburgh, Mountherrick Holiday Cottages make the perfect base for your holiday in Scotland.

We stayed in Beech Cottage for 6 nights (the 4th week in our 5week UK drive around holiday from Australia). Easily the best accommodation!!! Quiet, ideally situated to explore the Borders, Glasgow & Ayr. Exceeded our expectations, photos and information on the website is exact. Thank you so much for a wonderful week of comfortable accommodation in Scotland!!

Sehr liebevoll eingerichtetes, schönes, großes Cottage. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war unkompliziert und sehr nett. Die Umgebung ist sehr ruhig und schön. Ein Ort zum Abschalten und den Trubel zu entgehen. Es gibt in der Umgebung viele Möglichkeiten zum Wandern und auch für Kids zum Entdecken.
