Plan your family or group retreat for a year round getaway in this spacious but cozy almost 2,400-square-foot 3BR, 2BA Big Bear vacation home which can accommodate up to 8 people. Conveniently located within minutes to Bear Mountain and Snow Summit ski resort, the Village, lake, golf course, zoo and grocery stores in the quiet neighborhood of Fox Farm in Big Bear.

The single level house offers a gracious layout. The wide-open great room features a bright vaulted ceiling including a bar, a floor to ceiling rock-faced wood burning fireplace. Enjoy a good book, watch TV and an even better glass of wine or on a cold, snowy day, cuddle with your loved one in a warm blanket on the comfortable oversized sofa. The large sliding door opens to the back deck with beautiful view of the large back yard covered with trees.

Down the hall are two bedrooms with a bathroom in the hallway. The first bedroom has two twin over full bunk beds. The second bedroom has a queen bed and a twin over full bunk bed. The main suite features a king sized bed, walk-in closet, bathroom with separate sink and large shower and a back deck access. The laundry room is available and convenient for longer stays.

Enjoy all the perks of home during your stay including Wifi, Netflix, AppleTV. 4 large flat screen TV, 1 in the great room and 1 in each of the bedroom. A labtop desk is available for working from home guests. Spend some time challenging each other at a game of foosball, ping-pong, billards or have some fun time playing a poker game, chess or board games.

After a long day of skiing or exploring the mountain and lake, you will be happy to come home and slip into the soothing bubbles of the private hot tubs on the lower back deck. The lower deck also has a large fenced back yard that kids can safely run and explore or snow play during the winter. Enjoy a home-cooked holiday meal in the well-equipped kitchen or fire up the grill to show off your barbeque grilling talent on the upper back deck.

The property is great, there was sufficient kitchen supply for us a big family. The rooms are clean and warm. The property is in a peaceful and well-maintained neighborhood, a little morning walk is refreshing. Checkin and checkout procedure is pretty intuitive.

Ski weekend

This was our second time staying in this Big Bear home, and it is a perfect winter getaway. Location is nearby to both ski mountains, the house is clean, comfortable, well stocked and the owners are easily reachable. Teens enjoyed the jacuzzi. We plan to return!

Clean but could use updating

Overall, the place is very nice and well-equipped, albeit outdated. Here are a few little details that are meant as constructive feedback. The bottom bunks are not comfortable for adults. I wonder if the top bunk could be raised to allow more space for person on the bottom? We found a few items that didn't work (can openers - we found three and none of them worked correctly) or needed repair (pool table felt and pocket, which I informed owner about). The pool table and ping pong table are doubling as a dining room table - which is clever and creative, but neither game table is in great shape and the dining room is really too small for these games. This wasn't obvious from the photos but looking at the photos again, knowing the property, I can see the reality. My four stars on "accuracy of online listing" is due to this - photos are accurate but are slightly deceptive. I never imagined the pool table, ping pong table and dining room table were one and the same. And we didn't play more than once because the space was too small and we found it frustrating - plus taking off the ping pong table top to play pool and then have to put it back to eat dinner was inconvenient. The spa did not have a key as indicated in the folder but was a combo lock - folder info should be updated. Had to call owner for combo. Spa appeared clean on the inside but the locking mechanism seemed to have a broken rail.These are all little things so I still gave it a good rating. We enjoyed our time.

Getaway with Friends and Kids

The communication with the host was awesome. Prior to booking, the responses to my inquiries were super fast and very helpful. Ovreall stay was beyond expectations, acurate pictures of the property and very clean. Location was great too, short distance to both Snow Summit and Snow Play, as well as markets and restaurants. Definately worth keeping in my list for future stays.
