Stayed here for 6 nights together with my girlfriend. The location of the hotel is perfectly placed close to all the small bars and resturants, public transportation and clubs if you like these kind of things. Breakfeast is really good compared to other places i've stayed in Berlin, well worth the money. Staff is very friendly and helpful, especially the people in the reception. Only negative I can think of is no aircondition in the rooms and Berlin can get really hot in the summertime, so i would not stay here during the summer months. Will definitly look at this hotel again when going to Berlin next time.

Friendly staff, I like the North German branding and identity Breakfast excellent (the hot items could have been a bit better prepared /displayed), and the coffee wasn't fantastic Room (I had a 'studio') was great: really spacious, kitchenette area was useful and well equipped, and all other amenities really comfortable. Gym/sauna area was tiny, some might think there wasn't enough variety of equipment (it was fine for me)

Great place to stay near all the important places. The Metro and Tram stations are very near and has great access to eating places. Rooms are good and the breakfast is also great. Would recommend to anyone for a stay.

This hotel is not the most exciting décor wise but I would recommend it. Room was plain but it had plenty of room in it and had a very good shower. Buffet breakfast was pretty good. Plenty of choice although I was disappointed to only see Bacon on offer once in our 3 days. The district is quiet and within easy walking distance of the East Side Gallery and an S Bahn station. The bar was very quiet and characterless. Would still recommend this hotel as a good one to stay in though. Take a selfie of yourself on the roof terrace, post it and you get a complimentary cocktail in the bar.

My wife and I, along with our two teenage sons stayed at the Hotel for three nights. We were already aware that the hotel did not have air con - it would have been nice, though the fan was pretty much adequate. The rooms are comfortable and spacious enough for what we wanted. When we go on trips we don't anticipate being in the room that much after all! Located in Friedrichshain, there are a couple of U-Bahn stations within 5-8 mins walk away, getting you to all the main sights quickly and easily. Busses and trams also run close by, though we didn't make much use of either during our stay, other than to say we had been on it. We only had breakfast at the hotel - this was all fresh and plentiful. Remember you are not in the UK, so don't expect a fry up! Traditional European cooked meats, cheese, bread, croissants, preserves, honey, fruit, cereal and yoghurt all available. Staff in the hotel are really friendly and welcoming. We arrived at 11 and dropped out bags off then went exploring. On our last day we checked out and left our bag at reception until late in the afternoon before our flight home. The hotel has a bar serving various drinks and cocktails, all freshly made. On the roof is a terrace with good views over the surrounding area. Around the hotel you can find a huge amount of bars and restaurants catering for all tastes - the hardest part is deciding which to go to! The Berlin Welcome Card is great value - an adult card also covers children up to (and we were told including) 14 year olds. This also gives discounts to other attractions, though the travel card alone it is worth it. The hotel is easy to get to from Tegel airport - whilst it may take a few minutes more, the simplest way is to get the TXL bus from the airport to Alexanderplatz (end stop), then take the U-Bahn U5 to Weberwiese. From there it is about 8 mins stroll to the hotel.

The hotel was a gem in the Friedrichshain area of east Germany. There's a park opposite the hotel which is nice for a picnic. Also within walking distance to a train, bus & tram. The area around the hotel has very nice restaurants & bars. The staff are friendly and helpful and speaks English. The hotel facilities are very good and neat. They offer a full breakfast in a cosy dining room. The hotel has a rooftop terrace, a gym and sauna.

We spent 5 night's at this hotel.Could not fault location comfortable rooms Extremely helpful staff. Travel card invaluable . Would highly recommend this hotel. Breakfast a littleexpensive but so many options within the shopping arcade of the station you cannot go wrong. So glad we stayed in this area for multiple reasons . Directly outside is the main bus stops Hop on tourist bus or just use the map and walk Brilliant

Old hotel with old carpets that smells of dust. I am a bit allergic to dust, so not good for me. There is no AC in the rooms and the pillows are so flat I had to use the blanket to support my head. The TV is 20 inches and there is no minibar. Well there is one, with two bottles of water in it. The breakfast is OK. There are no sausages, bacon and that kind of things but there are eggs and cold cuts as well as many other things so would not call it a bad breakfast. The staff is very nice and I got a late check out for free. Free internet.

Pleasantly surprised, great location and good sized rooms. Good choice of breakfast included and a fridge in the room. Rooms were quite hot as we were here in the heatwave, but a fan was provided. Walking distance to a small bar across the road, there's a nice bar at street level in the hotel, and there is a small shop selling drinks and snacks around the corner. Less than ten minutes to the overground train station. Note: most of the bars and restaurants take cash not cards. Great area as a base for exploring, so many fabulous restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Very chilled and a really lovely, friendly atmosphere.

It was our first visit to Berlin and it was great staying at this place. We wish the rooms had air-conditioners or atleast ceiling fans that can cater for the short warm period, Berlin suffers during the months of May and June. Now the good part - the hotel is well connected with trams, buses and the underground. We found the trams most convenient as these were a very short distance from the hotel. Breakfast and the service was excellent and the staff is extremely helpful. There are any number of eating joints a few blocks away.
