My wife and I stayed at the Ritz Carlton in Berlin for 7 days. The main lobby of the hotel is magnificent! The amazing staircase and an outstanding chandelier sets the tone for the hotel! We stayed in an Executive Room. The room is spacious, modern and elegant. The décor of the room is just beautiful! The bar/lounge is very nice, modern and elegant. The breakfast at the hotel has plenty of choices and the staff is very attentive. Everyone at the front desk are very knowledgeable and polite, and the concierges were very helpful in securing tickets for the events we were interesed in. Special thanks to Thomas and to Mr. Homann, the concierges.The location of the hotel is also excellent, in the heart of Potsdamer Platz. We booked this hotel back in September of 2017, in order to stay there in March of 2018. We had read about the construction that was ongoing. We can honestly say that we heard some construction on our first day, but not much after that. In the end it did not bother us since we were not in the room for most of the day, and they didn’t begin construction activities until after 9:00 a.m. each day. In the end, everything was fine, since the staff and the beauty of the hotel makes everything special! All of the staff at the hotel were wonderful. I’m sure this is the result of having good managers. If we ever go back to Berlin, without hesitation, we will stay at this DREAM hotel! Tom & Carmen

What Ritz-Carlton gets that other chains don't is that customer service means making every customer feel special and welcomed. And that's what we got from the wonderful doormen upon arrival to checkin to the staff in the Club Level lounge. We got a fantastic deal on a three-night stay through the Ritz-Carlton website, enhanced by upgrades and a room credit through the Ritz-Carlton credit card. Yes, the hotel is undergoing renovation and I guess that can be hit or miss depending on room location and how much time you're spending in the room itself. We didn't spend much time in the room and rarely heard any noise on the 10th floor. Nor did I really notice any construction going on. It really is out of sight. Only minor, and I emphasize truly minor issue, was having to change elevators to get to our room. Also no onsite store/gift shop which would have been a great place to burn our 85 eur credit (instead we had a great meal.) Perfect location, relatively easy by Ubahn from Schonefeld Airport. And a roughly 25 eur cab ride out to Tegel. Sony center nearby was a pleasant surprise with several nice restaurants. Walking distance to Brandenberg Gate and remnants of the Berlin Wall. (Actually there are a couple of pieces just outside the hotel if you want the selfie.) All in all a delightful experience. Attentive staff at the Club Level lounge. Great help and advice at the concierge desk, by email before and during our stay, in getting directions and arranging a visit to the Sachsenhausen concentration camp and memorial and Tropical Island Water Park (a must if you've got kids!) And again, thanks to the doormen for your warmth and hospitality. You guys set the tone and LOVE the bag tags you gave us on departure. Best souvenir and a wonderful reminder of the Ritz-Carlton Berlin. Enthusiastically want to recommend this hotel and if my future travel plans, and budget, include Berlin, I'll be back here in the future!

I stayed here twice and enjoyed both stays - nothing too special about the room which is the case for many high end city hotels but luxurious lobby, very friendly staff and clean and comfortable room meant I was very happy to return. Also, location is convenient - it’s only a few minutes walk to Holocaust Memorial and Brandenburg gate.

The Ritz-Carlton lived up to all expectations, from the grand reception area to the spacious luxurious room. The service was superb from the beginning to end if our stay. Loved the huge bed & under floor heating in the huge bathroom. Would highly recommend.

I am still at the hotel, checking out tomorrow. I could spend a huge amount of time describing how wonderful the bed is (best bedding in 30-day trip to Germany), how staff make you feel incredibly welcome every time you return to the hotel after a day out in Berlin, or how the shower is exactly what you would like to have at your own bathroom back home. Unfortunately, whenever I choose to stay at a Ritz-Carlton (and decide to spend extra money to indulge in their world-famous quality), I cannot expect anything but near-perfection. And this visit has been a long way from that. Having advised the staff beforehand that I would be receiving some packages from the post, I was made sure by the manager that these would be handled for me and delivered to my room upon check-in. Unfortunately, front desk staff made a huge mess with my packages, and only within two hours from check in I was able to have all three packages in the room (they even categorically mentioned that only two had arrived). Also, having mentioned beforehand that the reason for my trip was to celebrate my wedding anniversary, we were greeted with a very nice Congratulations card and cake. However, even knowing that there was obviously a couple staying at the room, there was only one bathrobe. Having called guest services to request the second one, it took them 40 minutes to deliver the second robe (and only after being reminded twice). WORST OF ALL - staff lie to you. When you book online, you see the following notice: "Please note - Remodeling of the lobby and public areas from March 12 2018 to December 10 2018 may cause occasional noise disruption between 8am and 6pm. Your understanding is much appreciated." When I asked about this upon check in, I was assured that renovation was only taking place on the third floor, and disruption on my 7th floor room would be minimal. Today I was woken up at 9am with not one, but THREE DRILLS simultaneously. When I called reception, they mentioned that renovation was taking place on THE SIXTH FLOOR, obviously immediately below my room!!! And, yes, the "occasional disruption" was absolutely unbearable. I feel embarrassed for having chosen the Ritz-Carlton for this special occasion (there are so many good hotels in this City) and of course their clever understatement on their incapacity to receive guests during renovation will make me think twice before choosing my once favourite brand again.

The Ritz Carlton Berlin is in a great location, the service is very friendly and good, and it's moderately priced for Europe. The rooms are nicely appointed but getting old. It's about time for a fresh up/renovation.

This is a beautiful building and all that you would expect from a 5* building. The consierge service team at the front were very helpful and informative. They even gave us special luggage tags for our bags.

I booked the Ritz-Carlton for 6 nights for a business trip.The rooms were recently renovated, and indeed everything felt new, luxurious and spacious. Although the atmosphere felt luxurious, it came along with an old style vibe, aiming for an older target audience. The location was excellent, the staff very kind and efficient, except for the rude concierge, that was impatient and gave me the feeling that I was disturbing him. All in all, a very luxurious and comfortable hotel

It is a disgrace that the hotel is open while there is a big renovation going on. The noise of the renovation is horrible. I could not have any kind of conversation with my wife when we were in the hotel room. T he staff is wonderful but I find it wrong that the hotel offers rooms during the renovation. (There is a slight piece of information abot the renovation in their web-site. However, the renovation is much more grander than they state). We spent three days in the hotel and during the daytime we could not be in the hotel room.

Coming as a solo traveler with a bad experience in Prague, I was a little weary. However, I arrived early and was welcomed with open arms. Incredibly friendly and accommodating front desk staff. While waiting for my room, I had a lovely discussion with the gentleman working in the front about things to see in Berlin, though it hadn't been my first visit, it certainly felt that way from the advice that was given. I ended up going to some amazing art galleries and got to experience Berlin art culture in a very unique light thanks to this staff member. The room was great, newly renovated with a very comfortable bed, all the amenities required for my technology, get internet connection which made it easy to skype back home and a general feel of cleanliness. Great housekeeping, mindful of your privacy and respectful. I was lucky to not hear much noise from the construction, and I was out for most the day so didn't have to deal with any of it. The hotel itself was pretty quiet, good soundproof walls. Didn't need to use any taxi or uber since it is across from the train station with connections all over the city. The breakfast was very good. Love it, will stay again!
