The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin5.0 out of 5.0

Stayed on club floor for 4 nights and the Hotel was flawless. Staff was there to help you with all your needs and then some. Club is a club - delicious food, cocktails, concierge, staff appear from no where to serve your every need. Front desk and bell hop staff were perfect in every way. If we needed a taxi , it was there, a van, it was there, a bottle of water, directions, luggage help- it was all there. The rooms were impeccable as were the housekeeping staff. Only tiny complaint were the seats at the main bar- a bit uncomfortable, where I would rather stand than sit. But in general, it was a spectacular hotel.
The Ritz-Carlton in Berlin is not the cheapest place to stay, but definitely one of the best places to be. It is clean, spacious, extremely comfortable and its staff is tremendously helpful and friendly. We normally go ones a year for a weekend and enjoy a luxurious stay in this hotel. Not cheap, but worth every euro.
Brilliant 5* hotel in a brilliant location. We had one of their recently renovated deluxe rooms and it was lovely. Room service breakfast was great, we rang down for extra toast and it was delivered to our room still warm in 5 minutes! Not sure why this hotel isn’t in the top ten on TripAdvisor but it should be. Would definitely recommend this luxury hotel.
The dark, warm, cosy atmosphere of the lounge is ideal for relaxing in the evening. From the doormen to the waiters, the staff at this hotel are helpful, pleasant and accommodating. I would definitely love to stay at this hotel again.
My partner & I joined some friends for a weekend in Berlin recently & we decided to treat ourselves to the Ritz. The room was lovely, clean & had an enormous marble bath which was perfect for the freezing weather! We also very much enjoyed the artisan cocktails in the main bar that evening. The only thing that let the stay down for me, and I must admit I was very angry at the time, was the breakfast. We were greeted at the entrance, then told to find our own table - there wasn’t one so we stood around looking awkward while diners ate, when one finally became available we had to sit there while old food & plates were cleared. I can’t fault the waiting staff as they were clearly working very hard but the whole experience is certainly NOT what I’d expect from a hotel of this calibre. I have stayed in many hotels over the years, some less impressive than this who handled breakfast for guests seamlessly - so perhaps the Ritz could learn a thing or two.
Booked into the Ritz Carlton for the weekend and wasn’t disappointed. We’d upgraded the room and found it to be perfectly good. I’d prearranged additional memory foam pillows using the app & they were waiting on the bed and the room itself was available by 11:00, which was when we landed. We used the gym and had drinks at the bar which were both very good. The cocktails are pretty amazing and the live DJ was really good too! The only let down we had was that there was a bit of chaos when we went for breakfast. We were checked in but then told to find our own table, which there were none available so we ended up loitering until one became available. To make matters worse, when we did find a table, we had to wait another 15 odd minutes to have it cleared and cleaned so we could use it. This was unexpected and unnecessary and it left a bitter taste, given the general cost of the breakfast and how good the rest of our experience was at the hotel. I’d recommend staying here if visiting Berlin!
I had the fortune of being booked into the Ritz-Carlton for my recent stay in Berlin. Somewhat intimidated by the big name, I found what really makes a hotel grand is not the bellhop who holds the door for you, but rather the impression that everything has been taken care of. The staff I was in contact with was exceptionally friendly and accomodating. Upon check-in, I was given one of the newly renovated rooms which really don't lack anything. Exceptionally clean and equipped with a luxurious bath, a giant flatscreen TV, state-of-the-art air condition and one of the most comfortable beds I ever slept in, this was a unique hotel experience even after having spent more than 300 nights in hotels in the past two years. Of course, if you like the "grand" style, you'll find plenty to enjoy such as the magnificent staircase leading up from the lobby or the lovely old-fashioned (yet high-tech) elevator armaments. The greatest plus of the Ritz-Carlton however is certainly its location. Sony Center and the buzzling Potsdamer Platz are right in front of the door and other major attractions including the Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag are only a short walk away and so is the Mall of Berlin, probably the city's best shopping experience. If you have a chance to make use of one of their lower-priced offers, don't hesitate.
Hotel based on Potsdamer Platz next to Berlin Wall. Superb location for exploring Berlin. Newly renovated rooms are quality and contemporary. Classic Curtain Bar maintains a nice bit of history and staff keen to.maintain tne high standard expected witha modern twist.
My Husband and I Stayed 5 nights first impressions was that it was a beautiful hotel door man was very welcoming but that was were it stopped. The girl in bookings was not so friendly and did not explain things very clearly. Our of the 8 hotels we stayed in for the past 6 weeks all pre paid so I dont understand why they had to credit my credit card $1575aud. We were ask if we wanted to include breakfast for 28euro each so I said yes and she asked if ok to credit card so i gave her permission to do that not the $1575 when I question them later about this I was told they block your creditcard for a bond of 50euro anight and per person that still didnt add up that is only 500euro. Then was told it was company policy. This is not very good especially when on a budget and pre paid for everything. 3 days later and we are still waiting for this to be reversed and put back in account on my terms this is stealing not happy.
To begin with, the hotel doesn’t deserve 5 stars at all. We parked a car outside, a rude hotel worker came 10 minutes later, frightening us to send the car to the police, according to him it was ‘his sideway’ and nobody, except his mates are allowed to park there! Afterwards our lunch arrived, in the photo is so-called Club Sandwich, which looks like the chef was too busy with something else and couldn’t spend 10 min to do it as it supposed to be done. Last time we stayed in here it was also one big disappointment, so if you actually don’t want to waste your time, be disappointed by bellow average food and rude service - DON’T COME HERE!
