Checked in at late evening, front desk staffs was friendly and welcoming guests into the hotel. we booked an apartment room which has two-bed room and a living room area with kitchen for 2 nights. The night we arrived we realised the bedroom toilet sink was blocked so we called the front desk for assistant, after 8 minutes a male staff arrived he went in the toilet opened the sink cover and shake the sink and fixed. The second day morning both of my mom and dad, wake up with bruises, this caused by the edge of the bed frame which is very pointy. we contacted the front desk to speak to the hotel manager regarding this issue, the General Manager Sebastian Weidtkamp arrived within 10 minutes, so we explained the problem to him. The edge of the bed frame looked like it wasn't the first time people have causing injury and myself didn't really understand how did the hotel completed the risk assessment as this can causing harm to guests. Luckily the General Manager will look in to it. I hope next we visit we see some imporvment as this are urgently needing to improve on it.
The Hotel is located in the central business district of Berlin and very near to the local train station. Across the Hotel is a lovely Turkish eating place with nice donor kebab. The market is nearby and the local tours also operate from the nearby market. The services are good and tour booking can be done from the hotel itself. The Hotel staff is very efficient and friendly.
All the staff that we encountered were very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious and the large bathroom had an excellent shower. The design is modern and stylish. It didn't bother me at all, but as the partition between the bathroom and bedroom is plain glass, lack of privacy may concern some. Breakfast was excellent with a good range from continental style to english. Good variety of restaurants within easy walking distance. A room safe free of charge was a bonus.
Rooms fine, just about what you would expect for a 4 star hotel. €18 Breakfast CRAZY! Not worth a third of the price. Reception staff attitude absolutely terrible. On checking out of the hotel, having stayed in a room paid for by my company I was informed I could not check out without paying for a breakfast I thought was included in the room rate. Despite my better judgement, to ensure a quick departure I handed over my credit card make a payment. After making payment the receptionist then made a record of my credit card details, claiming this was standard procedure for all guests. I protested but to no avail. I do not believe a hotel should be entitled to retain my credit card details. This will allow them to make charges to my card without authorisation. This practice should be stopped. I expect a more helpful and polite service from a hotel of this nature. I will not be returning and will advise colleagues and friends against staying at the Sana hotel in Berlin. One final note. The second I checked out, wifi on my phone and laptop was disconnected. Whilst on the one hand this shows an effective service, it left a feeling of “ we’ve got your money, now get out” A terrible way to treat a guest.
This hotel is in a perfection location, we stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment and it was of a very high standard, I could not complain about one single thing, the rooms were of a very high standard and cleaned to perfection, breakfast was very good and the bar service and beer was top notch. Many thanks to the staff at the Sana who made our trip to Berlin first class. I would recommend the hotel to anyone traveling to berlin for any sort of trip, it's perfect in every way.
Didnt find the staff too friendly. About 10 mins walk from the closest Metro. Tony at the bar in the lobby was infact the only friendly and warm staff we encountered at the Hotel. Overall an average stay.
I stayed at the Sana Berlin hotel for a short business trip. the hotel is located in the heart of Berlin offering outstanding service, high-end accommodation for a very reasonable price. Breakfast was perfect and the staff was extremely helpful. Highly recommended!
I would definitely recommend this hotel to others ! It's beautiful! We got a 2 BR apartment and it's huge! We had washer and dryer , a kitchen, 2 toilet and baths . And the room was beautiful! Interiors were very impressive . The only thing is that - they don't clean it well. The floors were not cleaned and the trash specially in the bathroom were not emptied .otherwise I would rate this hotel a 10! Location is just a short walk to KaDeWe which was my favorite department store . At the corner of it is also Uniqlo and Zara.
We stayed in suite home - 1 bedroom. The small kitchen was a great thing to have when traveling with a 10 month old kid! There was also a seperate entrance at the back of the hotel which is convenient if you don't want to walk through the lobby with groceries or whatnot. We were well received and the customer service at the front desk was first class. Hotel provided us with a baby crib which made things easier for us. There is a small supermarket/store across the street 200 yards from the hotel which offers good variety of drinks, pastry etc. The hotel's location was pretty good - it only takes roughly 10 minutes to city centre by foot (cafes, restaurants and a supermarket along the route). The only downside was free wifi that wasn't working at all in our room due to very weak signal. At the lobby and in the corridors wifi worked fine but after closing the room door things went downhill. Cliff notes: - excellent customer service - good location (10min to the city centre by foot) - clean rooms, great small kitchen with a microwave oven and washing machine for clothes - kebab restaurant and small supermarket just across the street
I even recommended it to a friend when we were looking for accommodation in the German capital this month. When we checked in, I was so disappointed. A lot has changed in this hotel since my last visit a few years ago and not for the better. 1. This is a hotel with small pool, sauna, steam room. Despite of that there were no bathrobes and slippers in the apartment. We only got them when we requested them. 2. No room service menu in the apartment. The person I talked to on the phone offered to tell me what is available. I insisted on the menu. He said he would try to find one. Later it was delivered to the apartment. Unfortunately the exciting menu they used to have is a thing of the past. You can now only get the usual boring 4 star hotel food. Their good Portuguese restaurant is now closed and the area is just being empty. Extremely disappointing as we planned to eat in in the evenings. 3. Shower hose was broken - someone might get injured from the broken metal bit 4. They forgot to change one of the bins after the previous guests 5. No aircon in this apartment (139) 6. You can hear cars from the street if you stay on the first floor 7. No breadknife or teatowels in the kitchen, cups could not be any smaller 8. Sofa was dirty 9. There was hardly any light in the bedrooms and living room - no ceiling lights and one lamp broken 10. Breakfast menu was very expensive - it is cheaper to buy premium food in the nearby KaDeWe if your breakfast is not included in the rate. To be fair, the location of the hotel is good but I just can´t get over what seems to be sloppy, lazy management that is wasting great potential of this hotel. I won´t be returning.
