The Hotel De Rome, in Berlin, lived up to my every standard. It has perfectly achieved an authencity to the style and history of Berlin, while adding everything a luxury hotel needs to offer. It’s location is ideal, and the service outstanding. Rather than feel like you can be anywhere in the world, my stay at the the Hotel De Rome, created an experience unique to Berlin, which allowed me to take in and reflect upon the history so carefully preserved throughout the city.
Top location close to the Brandenburger Tor, great price-service-ratio, extremly friendly and courteous service. Can only recommend to people who are looking for a high quality Hotel in the center of Berlin.
We very much liked the Hotel de Rome. The other hotel we considered was the Aldon but we liked the atmosphere, location and more personalized feel of the Hotel de Rome better. We recommend the Hotel de Rome for anyone visiting Berlin.
We came for a weekend break to Berlin and the hotel provided us with an excellent location and service. From the welcome at the door to reception to restaurant and room - all were excellent. The only thing we would have appreciated that was not provided was the facility to make tea and coffee in our room.
Everything about this hotel was wonderful. From the beautifully designed rooms, the service in the room, the front desk, and especially the concierge. Being this was our first time in Berlin the location was absolutely perfect as we are from New York and we were able to walk to so many of the important sights and neighborhoods. Staying here truly enhanced our stay in Berlin. I highly recommend this hotel.
Well for the star and the name of the chain I stayed at Villa Kennedy in frankfurt b4 I was very impress, however it was a wrong decision here first I went to the hotel on 2 nov ca. 13.00 I asked to check in early the guy at reception gave me an attitude could not find my name I was a bit surprise coz normally for this kind of hotel, you will get welcoming email with we are looking forward to seeing u soon bla bla if anything we can do for you just let’s us know ?( my friend Book this hotel but I’ll arrive first so, he kindly respond to the email and requested to Mrs. Anne Raber,Head of concierge that I’ll arrive before him in order to avoid the difficulty at check in!! 2-3 days before my arrival twice but never got response. So why you inquire and request but never respond !!!!what kind of establishment are you? Here are my concern; 1. I had a tough time checking in and by the way we are the member of the leaders club so check in early I normally have no problem but the attitude of reception guy gave me just like “i cannot tell you anything but 15.00 o’clock will be confirm “ so I asked myself why the hell should we pay for this member club? But it was ok for me I could go shopping too. And this time booking through booking.com was actually cheaper,but for more benefits we willing to pay more!!!so we booked to the Leaders club site but did not get the benefits only bad attitude. 2. When I came back to the hotel he gave me the key card and said nothing ( so i have a lot of questions in my mine but I just like let’s it go I am so looking forward for this trip so I won’t let this ruin it but seriously this is like 5 star !!! I have been traveling more than 50 countries and i have been staying at all kind of places from air bnb, bungalow to the most luxurious hotel but the guy at the front did not gave me any informations and orieantations bout the hotel at all I think the old lady at bed and breakfast somewhere in developing country, who have never been trained in hotel business can offer me much better hospitality than this Bold guy at the front desk here. 3. I ask him bout WiFi he said just log in with you last name so I followed and it was like a free internet for every hotel guest and very slow which you have reconnect everyday !!!! As a leader club member, you will get a complimentary internet access!!!!!! So this is for real? We pay extra but they treat me like everyone why should we pay more then? I feel a bit stupid actually? As a Travel blogger I have many devices this is very annoying to reconnect to all my devices!!! However we also have a good treatment at the restaurant and bellman they were friendly and attentive so I would suggest the the waiter at the breakfast should give the guy at reception a serious manner training!! It have been bother me not the ask his name coz I was so busy Enjoying the city but I just can’t let go!!! I mean the front line is the face of the hotel the management should put this guy to the kitchen so he don’t have to communicated with the guests!!! Overall the hotel is very well decorated and in one of the best locations in the city but with this kind of careless staff and ignorant email thing are irritating me so much we will revisit Berlin and planed to stay at the same hotel, but I think we gotta reconsider !!! Excellent location, service and suite! Also enjoyed the spa tremendously. Food in La Banca also did not disappoint. Great details for kids as well- gifts, mini bathrobes, slippers, candy....We will definitely be back!
The location is super ,rooms are renovated especially bathroom is very good Most of the stuff were helpfull , they can charge the water a bit cheaper . Smokers do not have much chance other then freezing outside
Loved staying in this hotel - A beautiful grand old building with big rooms, high ceilings and a quiet location. Happy we upgraded to a room overlooking the square - made our stay in Berlin very special.
