Short three night visit to Berlin the Relaxa hotel was ideally situated only a short walk to the S Bahn station friendly staff very helpful and the evening menu was very reasonably priced and a good choice will certainly stay again on our next visit
The relexa is a well located hotel with good service. All the staff are excellent and while the foos options are limited the food is always good. Overall this is a good hotel for a business trip or short stay to see the city.
I've stayed in over 100 4 star hotels and honestly don't think I can remember any of them having NO AIR CONDITIONING. Well this was my first! The room had a window that barely opened and the room and rest of the hotel was hot and stuffy from beginning to end. My room was around 80 degrees. Admittedly when double checking the hotel details it does not say the have AC, although maybe I'm naive, but I would never have imagined a '4 star hotel' without it. In my book this makes it 3 star. They gave me a small fan for the room which helped but only if you are in front of it, and also means it had to be on all night which for light sleepers would be a total pain. Room was very clean and shower worked well. Bed was fairly comfortable. Only English channels were news - yawn. Location isn't brilliant but ok and I knew that. The hairdryer was pretty hopeless. Free water is with gas - yuck. Why not give still? I definitely wouldn't stay here again and have learned a lesson to always check hotels have AC regardless of their alleged star rating.
Stayed here to attend the Global Soil Week in May 2017, Nice cozy ambiance , convenient in out timings, nice comfortable clean beds, the overall quiet location but in walking distance from the happening places , Nice experience food was good. Worth it
My boyfriend recently booked a room, but he accidentally booked it for a month in advance instead of the correct days. Yes, this was his mistake. However, we called the hotel within less than an hour of booking and explained the mistake. We did not ask to cancel, asked if it would be possible to re-book with them for the correct weekend, and we were even prepared to pay a fee for our mistake. The booking is over a month away, so it is not that they would have had no one to take our place. However, they demanded a 100% cancellation fee even after we explained the situation. This is a cold, money-grubbing, customer-service less hotel. I would avoid it at all costs.
The beds were extremely uncomfortable and very hard. The pillows were huge and unformable. The room was very warm, because the window had been closed all day. No way to circulate the air. The room was facing a larger road, which made it difficult to sleep due to traffic noise. I thought I paid for a nicer room than this, but apparently not.
Aside from impersonal mass architecture and slightly run down 1990s style decor, this hotel refuses to activate room ventilation - let alone enabling of the aircondition system - in spite week-long heatwave and intolerable indoor climate. Moreover, Hotel Management's standing instructions for the cleaning personnel inempathetically includes firm closing of all windows desparately left open to allow for a minumum of fresh air during daytime. Reception personnel were completely unreceptible to this fact, laconically citing wheather forecast but ignoring the high level of street noise and low climste qualitirs of the builiding. Unleashed dogs owned by other guests disallowed self organised desperat attempts to get a minimum of fresh air at evenings before sleepless hot nights. Not recommendable for business nor for tourist stays.
First of all, the hotel was very nice and in a very convenient location near the centre of Potsdamer Platz. Now for the room. It was very nice and cozy, well decorated and the most important of all, very clean. The stuff was really friendly and helpful when we asked for information.
Spent 3 nights here in a double room for less than £50 per night. Perfectly decent hotel a few minutes walk from the S bahn and about 10 minutes from Checkpoint Charlie. There aren't many bars/restaurants that close by but 10/15 mins away you'll find plenty to choose from.
A good hotel to stay, we got a good price with breakfast which was great and versatile. I wouldn't pay full price. The beds were a bit uncomfy and tiny places were dusty. The location was great close to transportation. Nice staff and possibility to store luggage.
