The hotel was in a good location just a few hundred yards from Kurfustendamm. The hotel has a very modern appearance but did not provide any tea/coffee making facilities. we got a kettle from reception and it was filthy. Bed was ok but the pillow was the worst I've ever slept on.
In west central Berlin, and for the price, we had outstanding value. Got off to a bad start with the receptionist mind you, she couldn't find our booking to start so she got extremely defensive and was very rude, even though she was given all the information (and had no need to be rude as we were very nice to her!), turns out she'd overlooked something but she didn't even apologise. Once that was over, we checked in, went to our room and sorted our stuff out. Room was nice, bathroom had shower and a few complimentary bits and pieces. T.V, WiFi (free). Room was very warm. Not far from metro system. About 25 minutes walk to the Charlottenburg Christmas markets, which we explored on the first night.
Very satisfied with my recent stay at Quentin Berlin Hotel! The room had a good size, it was modern and clean, the bathroom had a large shower and the bed was very comfortable. However, the bathroom door was a glass door without handles (you push it) and it is not entirely closed from the bedroom, so for those who want some privacy it is not too convenient. The only staff I saw was the receptionist who seemed friendly, other than that the place was quite empty, and I didn't see any bar/restaurant area - could be that there is one but I didn't come across it. The location is in Charlottenburg area with great connection to the city centre and the rest of Berlin with the U-Bahn. I will definitely be back!
Very trendy, modern hotel, easy to access from the Airports, public transport and walking distance to nearby shops and a peaceful area. The room was on the top floor, very spacious, well designed and layout of room excellent. Smart Tv, big bed, plenty room to store all your shopping.. Best feature of the room was the bathroom, glass in front of it and an electric blind that can be closed or opened to see from the bathroom onto the bedroom. Thank you
We stayed for 4 nights (2 adults, 1 teen), had a quadruple room with balcony and it was on the whole spacious. Very comfortable beds, lovely shower, ability to open windows (not a given in modern hotels), friendly and helpful staff (for e.g. Helping with travel plans). On the downside- Design faults which are easy to remedy...why are the rooms so flipping DARK?? With every light on it's still hard to read a book! And the sink that fails to drain. We couldn't get the aircon to work. No kettle? Though we asked and got one, then had to ask for cups- got teacups that were tiny. There is no atmosphere - no one in the bar at night, and the "bar" is really only a few bottles. So you spend very little time there, which for €125 a night I was disappointed with. Overall ok if you can get a bargain, and probably better for just adults. It's very near Adenauer Platz U Bahn, v handy, and some decent brek/dinner locations near. Zeit fur Brot....yum!
Hotel is in a nice location, with good access to U-Bahn. Room is nice size, good to and comfortable bed. We were unaware upon booking that this hotel unusually takes the full payment upon arrival (we now guess because of many refusing to pay when not getting the room cleaned!) Unfortunately the reception staff did not evidence basic hospitality training and appeared to us pretty rude, and unable to help when things went wrong other than 'housekeeping is difficult' when we asked after 3 days to have the floors swept clean to remove the increasing amount of dirt and dust. We were also left with only one towel between two of us. We did however find long hairs in the hand towels on a daily basis. Upon our first shower the rain head was leaking most of the water up onto the ceiling, which we reported and was quickly fixed. Please note if you are a light sleeper that the hotel is increasingly noisy from people leaving the pub at the end of the street late in the evening (we were in room 503, on the 5th floor front of hotel). In short the worst hotel experience we have had in Europe (> 20 cities / trips), US or Asia in last 20 years!
I stayed at this hotel 5 days. I booked a double room without breakfast included. The room was big and the design was nice. Positive remarks: The towels were changed every day. The water pression was perfect. The bed was confortable. The hotel is positioned at 3 min from metro station and have arround restaurants and supermarket and 5 minutes. They have a special room for the baggages if you want to let them there after the check out. Negative remark: The bathroom sink was broken. The lights are very poor. In my opinion is a good hotel taking in account the costs. The position is good, you make 45 minutes from the airport with bus and metro and 20 min with S bahn from the hotel to the Alexander Platz(S bahn is at 5 minutes from the hotel)
GOT NO REPLY to the following email: To whom it may concern, We checked in on wednesday the 15th of March and out yesterday, monday 20th of march. Not only where we there for 5 nights, but also booked two rooms! We were assigned rooms 309 and 305 and I have to say that I have never experienced something as terrible as the Quentin Berlin Hotel in Xantener street in my life. A completely unacceptable service for a '4' starred-hotel. Reasons: - When we first checked in on the night of the 15th we were 'welcomed' and wished 'good night', but the only other words we heard from the receptionist was the amount that we had to pay for the 10 nights (5 for one room and 5 for the other). We can understand that some hotels have this policy of paying at arrival, but we were never warned via Booking.com in any way. Moreover, if you meet tourists at midnight, tired, the least you can do is ask 'how was your trip?' or 'can we assist you in anyway?', not merely ask for the bill; - Room 309 had NO toilet paper whatsoever at arrival; - The lift was faulty during one day; - On saturday, the housekeeping staff did NOT clean room 309. What is worst is that they actually came inside the room and left clean towels, but never made the bed or clean neither the bathroom nor the toilet. We told the receptionist on saturday afternoon as soon as this happened, she apologized and said that she would speak to the management and get back to us. She then called, apologized again and said to please approach the reception desk the following morning as the management will do something in return, probably a percentage of refund to the price of the room. However, when we got to reception the following morning, the other receptionist merely apologized again and almost said that the lady at the reception desk the previous day was lieing because the management is 'not approachable' during weekends and that she therefore could not do anything. (Her english language completely unacceptable for a 4-star hotel in central europe.) I am therefore still expecting compensation in some way from your side. Regards,
Enjoyed our stay at this modern hotel. We were welcomed by a very friendly man behind reception desk.He was also very friendly and helpful when we had a prob with our safe.Room was cleaned every day with fresh toiletries and towels. We were room only so could not comment on breakfast. Wonderful visit to a lovely city.
We stayed at this Quentin Berlin hotel in November 2016 we always try to do a city break for our anniversary and this was my choice for this one ,what a fabulous hotel from the moment we booked in everyone was so pleasant and helpful reception gave us numerous directions on places to see and visit what underground station we needed and all done with a smile . The hotel room was lovely warm clean and spacious, and the location for us was perfect as we don't like to be in the center of the hub bub, the Adenauerplatz underground station is just down the road with plenty of shops bars and restaurants with in walking distance we had a fantastic stay in this hotel would definitely recommend it and Berlin such a beautiful city .
