Housed in the most central district of Berlin (Mitte), Guesthouse Moabit’s apartments are in a quiet street within a lively central neighbourhood that is well connected to the local sights. The nearest subway station, Turmstraße, can be reached in about 5 minutes on foot, the metro station Beusselstrasse is just 10 minutes by foot or a 3 minute bus trip away; and many buses to get around the city are accessible in under 3 minutes. A direct bus to the central train station allows a comfortable commute to BER airport by train.

This place was rough, and a pretty awful first experience using Vrbo. The check in was easy but there was nothing in the description about the 6 flights of stairs it took to get to the apt. The apt (basically a studio) looked nothing like the listing which was frustrating as we were pretty excited to stay at this place. Fine. The biggest issue was that there were absolutely zero towels. We searched everywhere (not that many places to look as the place was tiny and not stocked with anything). I reached out to the host right away and no response- I reached out several more times that day..and the next day...and the next. I also contacted vrbo and was told they would contact the host and get back to me, no one got back to me. We ended up using the sheet from the bed as a towel -as we desperately needed a shower after traveling 10 plus hours to get there. The shower was full of black mold and the doors dont shut properly so water got everywhere.I'm pretty dissapointed in Vrbo for not doing more about the situation and really upset with the host for not responding to what I think is a pretty standard and fair request. I was incredibly polite and patient in my messages so I don't understand why I was ignored.The rates for this place are low yes, but not low enough to not even have basic amenities, like towels and a clean shower..

Poor Conditions

We arrived and the bathroom was very dirty with mold. I let the host know the night before that I was concerned for my health with the amount of mold. It was more than a cleaning issue. The mold was under the grouting and caulking. I waited until 12:00 the next day to see if the host would respond. They didn’t respond until I let them know we were leaving. We left and checked into a clean hotel, There was also exposed electrical wiring above our bed.

Warm place & perfect location!

The place was a dream. The room was very clean and bright, everything was well-furnished and comfortable. I loved the authentic old-fashioned vibe! <3 Greg was also very friendly and helpful, and he even made arrangements to make my stay easier.

Berlin Stay

If you're looking for the Waldorf this isn't it. But if you want a clean, comfortable, well maintained room and a host that is easy to communicate with, this is your place. Room is a little out of the way since we didn't have a car, but that wasn't a problem since the bus stops were just a few steps away. If I'm ever in Berlin again I'll definitely stay here as long as Gregor remains the host.

I thought it had a bedroom but it was a studio. Very old. Door did not work w key, but manager finally fixed when we could not get in. Several appliances did not work. The neighborhood is marginal and far from most of the main tourist places. Otherwise manager was nice and tried to help.

Lovely flat

The flat is even nicer than it looks in the photos. It is located in an old apartment building and has tall ceilings and wooden floors. The host was very helpful and accommodating.

Das Doppelbett war sehr bequem, das Einzelbett jedoch hatte keinen richtigen Lattenrost und war etwas instabil, dennoch bequem. Leider gab es vor Ort keine Schüsseln oder gar eine Schere, Das Bad war sehr spatanisch und leider ohne Steckdose :(Für 2 Nächte war es sonst okay.

Tolle Lage, schöne Ferienwohnung

Wir haben uns in der Ferienwohnung richtig wohl gefühlt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die tolle, zentrale Lage und die absolute Ruhe, weil die Wohnung zum Innenhof ging. Leider war am ersten Tag nicht genügend Bettzeug da, was aber am zweiten Tag gleich korrigiert wurde. Der Vermieter will uns allerdings dafür eine kleine Entschädigung zukommen lassen, was wir sehr positiv bewerten. Zu kritisieren ist, dass der telefonische Kontakt überhaupt nicht funktionierte. Das Telefon war offensichtlich abgeschaltet.Fazit: schöne Ferienwohnung mit toller zentraler und ruhiger Lage.

Günstig, aber lieblos

Die Wohnung ist recht heruntergekommen und spartanisch ausgestattet. Im Bad gibt es keine Abstellmöglichkeit für Badutensilien, keine Steckdose und die Fugen in der Dusche sind arg schimmelig. In der Küche befinden sich quasi nur Gabeln und Besteck in 3facher Ausführung, bei einem Schälmesser hört es dann schon auf.

Ich wurde von einer freundlichen Frau empfangen, die aber mit unzureichenden Kompetenzen ausgestattet war. Der Betrieb konnte mir keine Rechnung ausstellen, trotz mehrfacher Bitten (bereits im Vorfeld der Anreise, während des Aufenthalts sowie danach). Auch der Gastgeber Herr Bauer hat sich nie bei mir zurück gemeldet, obwohl mir dies zugesichert wurde. Also wer in dieser Unterkunft Sonderwünsche hat, sollte nicht damit rechnen, dass sie erfüllt werden! Ich werde jedenfalls nicht wieder kommen.

Gute Unterkunft

Zentral, in schöner und ruhiger Umgebung gelegen, ist die Wohnung freundlich eingerichtet, mit allem was so benötigt wird. In einer 1-Zimmer Altbau Wohnung kann eine wirklich authentische Berlin Erfahrung gesammelt werden. Leider ist die Dusche nicht so sauber / so weiß wie erwart werden.
