Attended a conference at nearby Intercontinental but stayed here as a group of 6. Modern decor bright and clean. Welcoming and friendly staff throughout. Central location with easy access to many tourist areas. Central but quiet location. Easy access to the Tiergarten for a nice run. Breakfast provided a great choice.

Clean hotel, great staff, good location for us. 10 min walk to almost everything, restaurants, train stations, shopping. #200 bus stop next to the hotel. Front desk staff were extremely helpful, and went above and beyond to help us, especially following up with the airline when we didn't get our luggage! Thanks to Liliana, Marie Louis and the night desk gentleman that got a cot for my daughter one night when she decided to stay with us at the hotel.Thank you!

Stayed here for 6 nights, and the hotel was a great place for me to combine work and exploring the city. I had a large modern room, extremely quiet, so great to relax & sleep (or do some more work) after a long day working. The room had a good work space and a comfortable (albeit slightly soft) bed. The Pestana is a bit removed from where the action is, so it takes a 10 minute or bus ride to get anywhere interesting (like Kurfuerstendamm / Zoo or Mitte around the Reichstag), but because there's a well-served bus stop just outside the hotel, that's ok. The best about the Pestana is that it's right next to Berlin's huge Tiergarten public park, which is a gorgeous place for jogging. The breakfast buffet is good, but not startlingly so ... it shows that this is a 4 star, not a 5 star hotel. Overall, a nice hotel that doesn't feel busy even when it's fully booked.

Modern hotel with everything you need as a business traveler. Spacious well appointed rooms with a more modern decorating sense. Free wifi and plenty of space if you need to work. Excellent breakfast with many items to choose from. Will stay here again next time business brings me to Berlin.

I loved the location of this hotel. It is right next to a very large park/zoo - the TierPark in Berlin. The street on which it sits is a beautiful boulevard with large green trees and beautiful buildings/shops. There is no subway station nearby but there is at least one bus which goes right by, taking you to the central parts of Berlin, such as near AlexanderPlatz. The room was large, beautifully made with nice colours, and a very nice bathroom with shower. The air conditioning worked very well also and there were large modern vertical or horizontally opening (switchable with a handle) windows. The only thing I noticed was that, the mattresses were so bouncy, that you can literally roll off of them if you moved too much to one side. But otherwise, the beds and pillows were comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful also. The restaurant has a huge all you can eat buffet/breakfast for around 20-22 Euros. The buffet breakfast had hot and cold dishes, cheese, cold cuts, scrambled or hard-boiled eggs, sausages, fruit, muesli cereals, juice and pretty much anything you can think of, so there was no lack of choice. The restaurant also has a nice terrace facing the quieter side street, and a bar. The only issue was the free wifi being pretty much uselessly slow. I mean, I'm talking about speeds of LESS than 1Mbps. It was not my phone because my hotel in Munich had super fast wifi, which worked off of the TVs in each of the rooms.

situated on the edge of the Tiergarten ideal for walking or cycling the park. Walking distance to the zoo and areas for eating about 15 minutes away. The rooms are a good size and modern and bright and well equipped. We overlooked the Korean Embassy which was quiet. The staff were amazing and very helpful. Breakfast was varied and good. Value for money is good for a hotel of this quality. You need to know that Berlin is large and you will rely on transport to se it. A bus stops outside and a taxis is called within 3 minutes. Taxis are derailleur but the hotel is not near any tram or underground stops. So if you don't want to walk or use taxis this is not the hotel for you. But central located between the old east and West is good.

Overall, a nice place to stay, with some faults. There is absolutely not a single bit of difference between the cheapest standard room, and the deluxe room, despite the fact there is a price difference (in fact the bathroom in the standard room was much nicer than in the deluxe room).I stayed in the executive room, which was nice - a standard room, and a deluxe room due to funny reservations and a crowded hotel. The staff added breakfast for us the day we arrived, but we were not added to the list for this so could not actually claim it. The staff were very confused/confusing to speak to & often did not know what was going on with our reservations. The TV was not working for the entire stay, and no one couldn't provide any more information than "the technicians are working on it". Also, the milk left in my room (that I had paid more for as a deluxe room) was spoiled, and it was long lasting milk.... must have been there a while. If the small issues like this get fixed, and you hire some receptionists that speak more than very limited English, I would have given this a much higher rating.

Just spent 11 nights in the pestana Berlin, well were do I start, we go to Berlin every year, stay in the kudamm, but decided on a change, didn't disappoint. We had the suite in the 6 the floor, clean, spacious room, massive balcony, housekeeping came everyday to clean, fresh towels, clean bedlinen, staff professional and friendly, pool, sauna, wide variety of breakfast, bike hire from outside hotel, central to the centre, neuer see, just round corner, when we arrived my husband got a lovely welcome card and fruits, little packets of sweets on our pillows, nice gesture from the manager, bus 200 just outside hotel to get you to the city centre, will go back again, thank you

We booked for 3 nights suite between 09 -12 Aug. The Hotel staff surprised us everyday with small and nice things to our wedding. All things they did were free. They made Heart on our bed . We got nice welcome cards, champagne and table with chocolate and fruits decorations . Next day also surprised with roses. Later we met spontaneously the manager for 5 minutes conversation. He is professional ! Hotel are clean and in quite silent place . Food are good. Our suite was big and good prepared to our visit. The communication with Hotel staff are easy. We had good time on Pestana Berlin hotel. Highly recommend

This hotel is modern, clean, comfortable, has great facilities and really helpful staff. The pool, steam room and sauna in the basement was a real treat after a days biking and walking and the staff were helpfullness itself when we asked about transport and for recommendations for places to eat (tip, they recommended the cosy Cafe dem Neuen See is just a few minutes walk and overlooks a lake in the Tiergarten, and it was lovely). The beds were very comfortable and we slept really well, and there was a large choice at breakfast, all very nice. The location is quiet, right on the edge of the Tiergarten, but is only 10 minutes walk from Zoologischer station, plus bus stops very close which take you there, or to the centre of town (Alexanderplatz), Charlottenburg - wherever you want to go - the transport is excellent in Berlin. Plus there are bikes for hire outside if you want to do that (also a good way to see the city). Would thoroughly recommend.
