Park Inn by Radisson Berlin Alexanderplatz

4.5 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Very busy hotel but it was clean, fairly quiet - we were on 27th floor & could hear drummers on Alexanderplatz, and had a great view. The room was a bit warm and the air conditioning was not strong - but worked fine as the night went on.

Hotel is very crowded. Compared to other hotels, breakfast was quite inferior and expensive. Room was ok, but mattress felt cheap.

Location and view can not be beat. Lobby, staff great. Room: AC did not cool. Reported it 3 times to staff, they kept telling me maintainenace would look at it but the situation never improved. It was so hot in the room I could not sleep. It was literally cooler outside than in the room with AC on 'high'. I would not stay here again.

every steps cost you money ie internet, luggage room, hotel public wc. etc.

Will be fine for arriving guests having new hallway carpets, but we had to endure 4 nights of bare floors with the carpet ripped up. This should have been completed quicker, or we should have been on another floor. The elevator jolted to a stop between floors three times (we were on floor 22). Thought we'd never make it to ground level. Even though there was a staff member on the elevator using his walkie-talkie, it took 24 hours before they finally put a sign on the elevator that it was being repaired! Reception staff slow causing long lines. Didn't feel they were friendly or enjoyed their work - However, there was one big exception. Room keys did not work on the 4th day. Had to wait in line to have it corrected. Returned from touring all day to find room not made up. Had to wait 1 hour before they arrived. Manager did give us free breakfast at my suggestion though.

Excellent location. Amazing view of Alexander TV Tower. But if you travel for work and you need a reliable internet, you better use Starbucks. I had many issues with their internet, the answer to my calls was "just reboot your laptop".

The elevator jolted to a halt between floors four times on the way down from the 28th floor. A staff member was in the elevator with us and radioed that we were stuck. Yet, an Out-Of-Order sign wasn't put at the elevator for another 24 hours. There were long lines at the front desk caused by staff who work slowly. The carpet in the hallway had been torn up and not replaced in the 4 days we stayed there. We arrived back in our room just before 6:30 pm but the room was not serviced and our key did not work. It took almost an hour for this to be corrected. The manager did give us a free breakfast at my suggestion, so he did care and did apologize Have recommended the hotel based on the rooms being clean and modern.

This is a really bad hotel. Rooms are really small and the bathroom don't have walls, it is divided by a curtain. This option is not worth your money.

nice place to stay for our Berlin trip. convenient to public transportation. We enjoyed our stay there, will stay there again if we go to Berlin.

As Park Inn you get there nearly what you expect in any of chain hotels. However 19 eur for breakfast seems a high price. I was offered a 20 eur business package with wifi included. to my dissapointment wifi was a total failure, it did not work properly, was all the time dissconnecting and speed was as in old times- few bits per second. IT support i think was sarcastic, by saying - yes, but it works! I would not call it works though. Overall qualitu of stay sufficient, extremely good location, staff.could be more pleasant with customers.

The hotel was great, right in the middle of the city at Alexanderplatz. There were trams, subways, SBahns...everything you could ever want for transportation so it's a perfect base from which to explore the city. The rooms were good size and clean, nothing luxurious but perfectly acceptable! The check in was a bit hectic, but it's a huge hotel so it's understandable. All in all it was a great place to spend a few days, I'd definitely stay again.

We could not have been happier with our choice in hotels. We had a city view room on the 35th floor and could see the fireworks across the entire city. What a view! Alexanderplatz was a vibrant area with train, u-bahn and s-bahn stations within a short distance from the hotel. Food and shopping were steps away. There was even a skating ring and Christmas market in the plaza during our stay. Every concierge we met was extremely helpful and spoke English. Don't expect a huge American size room. We would highly recommend this hotel.

The room was great, clean, service ensured clean towels everyday, with a complete going over of the room. Some reviews stated that the room was too small, I did not find this room small, however, I was a single individual traveling. 2 people can easily enjoy this room as it is spacious enough.Front desk and concierge were very helpful and informative. The gripe I have is with the Wi Fi...coming from the US, I am used to free Wi Fi at hotels. I understand that it cannot be free everywhere..however, the pricing for using the Wi Fi is high in my opinion. 18 Euros for 24 hrs....6.5 Euros for 1 hr. Overall, a nice stay and I would stay here again...however, seeing the city, there would be other choices I would pick over the Park Inn strictly based on area within the city only. Had a great view of the city from the 17th floor.

negatives: beds- uncomfortable because they have too much give and feel much older than they look. pillows (might be cultural thing)- they are small a feel like they have 1/4 the normal inside material, also they are lumpy. internet- they don't tell u on their website but internet is 18 euro/24hr which is incredibly expensive given that it's not the fastest. TV- has a few english language news channels but none of the most watched ones. Bathroom- no walls in the bathroom, just a curtain. it does have beautiful slabs of what looks like marble but no walls. Windows- they open...to a chamber that has another window which u can't open, so probably not very good for summer weather. storage space- minimal, I've seen better in a hostel cleaning staff---knocked at my door at 8am to clean... positives: location- right on the platz mini-frig- could be positive or negative. they probably charge a crazy amount for all those little things in it, but some people like that stuff. concierge- they are helpful and speak english well as do the check-in staff. Restaurant- there's a restaurant and a fast-food joint in the building which is good for people who don't want to travel much for food if they're tired.

Stayed here several times. Bathroom very small but I knew what to expect:

Good service, good staff except last incident to pick up stored luggage, male was a bit brusk because he felt pressured. Female staff member took over very well to give us luggage for our trip Location scruffy since center of "hippie" culture but never felt threatened....

We've stayed at the Park Inn twice, and both times had great experiences. It's totally classy without being stuffy. The bathrooms also have very modern, cool showers and hip euro doors. It's also right in the middle of Alexanderplatz which is pretty sweet.

I selected this hotel as a conveniently-located comfortable option in downtown Berlin, to attend the Komische Oper Berlin summer festival. I knew from a previous visit that the transit connections at this location are numerous. The S-Bahn, U-Bahn, tram and bus systems are all available steps from the hotel. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. During a very hot week in Berlin, the fact that the public areas and the rooms were well-conditioned was especially appreciated. This is not a trendy choice, but definitely comfortable.

Our room was small but VERY adequate. Service with a smile from everyone. Delicious breakfast buffet (though pricey!) Unfortunately, wireless internet not free. VERY close to major train stations, bus stops, within walking distance of almost every sight-seeing possibility. Location VERY key.

Small bathroom with glass walls and glass door, doesn't provide any privecy.
