Internet Missing: Internet only works on the ground floor. There is no internet access in the rooms. Unfriendly Service: Classic case of customer getting in the way of the "important" work. The lady on the Front Desk was not able (or willing) to give me a receipt when I paid. She told me that it would be at least 10 minutes. Since I was in a hurry - this was not satisfactory for me. Strange that her colleague was able to give me a receipt within seconds after he charged my card. Ironicallly - her colleague actually had to enter my information. All my information was already in their system and all she had to do was find my profile. This SHOULD be so much quicker. BACKSTORY For some reason I wasn't able to book through, thus I made two separate reseverations for Monday and Tuesday night. When I checked in Monday, the guy on the front desk told me that it would be easier (for him) if I paid the first day with him and came back to pay the second day on Tuesday (but that they were able to keep me in one room). When I tried to pay for Tuesday night the lady was very unfriendly (perhaps she was annoyed that her colleague did not charge me the whole price at check-in). I declined her request to fill out another registration card, since the one I filled out yesterday already listed my departure on Wednesday. (Registration cards need to filled out per stay, not per night - this is incorrect and unnessecary). I think my not wanting to fill out the registration card upset her to the point that she just wanted to get back at me. Either that or she desperately needs a training on how her system works. I am not sure which is worse. Once I had paid she just went back to the paperwork she had on her workspace. After a moment a I caught her eye and she said "you have a key already", and went back to the papers again. "Do I get a receipt?" I asked. Instead of giving me my bill right away, she said "it will take at least 10 minutes" while she handed me the registration card again and said please fill in the address. (This is despite the fact that 1) she had a piece of paper with my address on it from booking.com & 2) she already had my profile in the system from the night before. By this point the manager arrived just in time to make matters worse. I explained that I would like my receipt now that I have paid my bill - it can't be that I need to wait 10 minutes. To which she said "You cannot tell us how to work and what process we need to follow". I kindly told her that I am not intending to tell her what process to follow, but simply telling her that my expectation as a customer is that I get a receipt WHEN pay for something; not that I have to come back for a 3rd time. I mean in this case I paid with a card so I at least have proof, but what if I paid with cash? You expect me just to walk away and trust you? In addition, I said, every hotel management system is made to be able to give receipts on payments as a core function. Her response to this was - "No-one else has ever complained about receipts taking too long." If you have ever done any course about complaint handling you would know that this is one of the worst possible answers you can give a client that is unhappy with your service. She then turned to the Front Desk worker and asked - has he paid? When she received an affirmative answer she said " you can have your receipt in a minute or two". I didn't even get a chance to explain that there is a massive difference between 2 & 10 minutes when you are in a hurry. The manager just turned around and went back to her office without disengaging the conversation. So - it is up to you dear world. You could say - it is just a crazy guest who gets upset at small things like having to come back to pick up his bill. Or Perhaps you think like me: as a minimum expectation I expect to be able to get a receipt when I pay and not be made to wait 10 minutes for it because those papers have a greater priority than the guest. Other than this annoying interaction - basic hotel. If it had competant & friendly staff and internet access it would be good value for money. As it stands - even the low prices that are asking are too high for me.
This hotel was adequate for the price range. Twin beds were comfortable . The shower room was new (recently refurbished) so very good. The rest of the room was very dated but clean apart from dusty curtains. Breakfast good and tasty. The staff were excellent and very helpful and friendly. The location and transport links very good. We would probably stay again for a short visit.
This place goes down lot of last few months im not sure why? Maybe owners change or something coz crew its change what i know.. Now its some rude woman reception who dont even spoken reasonable English but its problem many Russian own hotels.. My room shower is broken need hold with hand, no any wifi for room and we living 2018 and its hotel, breakfast quality goes down so i recommend eat some bakary same money for breakfast and there is many near. Only good its location and if you dont need wifi etc etc you can sleep there and if price that 20-25€ its ok for sleep.
The hotel is situated in good location, with only a short walk to S and U bahn stations. The area around the hotel is nice and safe. There are a few shops and small cafes nearby, although the area is mainly residential. The hotel itself was clean and the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was on the top floor, it was clean, fairly large and had a benefit of a balcony. Overall, as in the title.
This hotel was the pits. It smelled. Carpets in our room were dirty. Beds were so worn they sank in the middle. Outlook was onto a building and the bin area. Did not stay but rebooked in a better hotel so can't remark on breakfast.
Relaxing. Nothing more than i expected. Worth for the money and for the location (near of the main bulevard) , the staff was a bit too poor on english but was ok. Wifi not available in the room. And the rooms not to tidy. If i will have the chance i will come back.
Took us quite a long time to find the hotel from the airport so arrived quite late at night. Night staff were fine and friendly and efficiently booked us into our room. There was a lift which was good for me as I'm disabled. The room was small and a bit basic but we were only the to sleep. Got very hot in the night but we had control over the heating so not too bad. Very interesting building which was shared with other businesses. Breakfasts were fine - usual continental - juice tea coffee rolls croissants fruit eggs yoghurt. Dining room staff were very pleasant and helpful.
This hotel is old and worn out. The twin room with ensuite (117) we stayed in was large. The hallway smell old and stuffy, not pleasant. The room itself also had an old stuffy smell (they carpet maybe) so we had to leave the window open. The pillows were bad. It’s is in a pretty good location 15min walk to the station and lots of Italian restaurants around. When we are back in Berlin we will try a different place.
This was a big disaster. I have never sleep in an hotel like this in Berlin. It is so bad and the room and bathroom has nothing to do with the pictures show on the site. Our room was 121 and it feels like we live together with the people next to us. The wall is so thin we could hear what they said in there. The cleaning staff did a great job in this mess and eloge to them.
We have just returned from a four night stay here. We didn't know what to expect and were not disappointed. The entrance was a bit difficult to find, but having done so we were warmly welcomed by the man at the desk. He explained everything we needed to know to make our stay comfortable and there was always someone there if we needed to ask anything. The room was spacious, clean and well appointed, we particularly like the well equipped kitchen which gave us flexibility. It was in a good spot for getting out and about and had a pleasant outlook. Only one small criticism the mattress sank in the middle a bit and could do with being replaced. It didn't stop us sleeping however.
