Stayed with my four children, party of 6.Spacious and clean. Three bedrooms. large fully equipped kitchen with dining table. Good size bathroom with bath. Linen and towels provided. Wifi worked. Overly complicated check in process. You must check in at the Hostel reception then make you way to the property (ours was about 20 mins walk away) with door codes to unlock the door and then the safe which holds the apartment keys.Only one bathroom with a large family was complicated. Taking all our bags and baby car up, and down the 4 floors was a nightmare. Would not consider staying there again.
Stayed as a party of 6. (Sleeps 8) Pros - Spacious and clean. Three bedrooms. large fully equipped kitchen with dining table. Good size bathroom with bath and separate shower. Linen and towels provided. Wifi worked. Close enough to Berlin centre. (15 mins walk ish). Close to restaurants and shops. Staff helpful if you have any issues. Cons - Overly complicated check in process. You must check in at the Hostel reception then make you way to the property (ours was about 20 mins walk away) with door codes to unlock the door and then the safe which holds the apartment keys. Very noisy at night as you are on the main road, particularly if you are in one of the front two bedrooms. Only one bathroom with a large party can be an issue at times. All things considered we enjoyed our stay. Would I stay here again? Probably not as I'm a rather light sleeper, but some others in our group had no issues.
Booked an apartment for 4. very clean, comfortable, wifi works without any issues. Loved how close it is to Alexanderplatz. We arrived earlier and leave sooner but stored our luggages at the reception place without any problems, which was very helpful. Highly recommend!
I stayed with some friends in this apartment. We rented 2 of them and they gave us the opportunity to be in the same building but on different floors. The apartment is very spacious and despite there is only 1 room for 4 beds, there is plenty of space to move easily also with luggeges. There is a small table and a big one, useful if you want to eat home, a closet and some other furniture. for the stuff. The room is well enlightened thanks to the windows. Spacious bathroom and shower. The apartment is funirshed with a vacuum, an iron and ironing board and some other tools for cleaning. Kitched is well equipped with fridge, boiler, oven and micro. All the apartment was very clean very clean and despite there has been an issue with the heating, the staff has been very nice to us and gave us all the possible assistance. People who work there are all very nice and warm (despite the very cold weather). The position is good, close to the metro station Rose Luxembourg and it is close to a small market... a pharmacy,a bakery and some restaurants and bars.
Recently came back from a girls hen party weekend in Berlin. My friend who organised the accommodation arranged taxis from the airport to the accommodation from the address we were sent via email. When arriving to the apartments there was no reception area to be seen to check in. After calling the the reception we found out we were sent the old address so we had to walk 30 mins with suit cases to get to the reception to pick up the keys ,to be then told to go back to the original address. All in all the whole process took an half and a half. The apartments were lovely however 7 of our party were robbed of there valuables including cash, jewellery and perfume. This ruined our last night. Don't know how the robbers got in as we had locked the doors.
If you are on a short visit to Berlin and want to avoid wastage of time in check in process and settle your luggage in your apartment and head out...this is NOT THE place to be in. When we reached the property we could not enter as there is a code to enter and the phone was not reachable. Luckily after a bit some guests were entering the apartment and we trooped in behind them Only to realise we have to travel 5-6 minutes by car to reach the office of the property .Once there we have to fill some forms and a code to open a box at the property is given . The keys will be in this coded box. Seemed like we are part of a secret mission. After a good 40 minutes we troop to the apartment to realise there is no elevator or lift. This is challenging if you have luggage with you and if there are elderly family members. We had both. The place is quite far from the highlights of the city. The apartment by itself is clean but much smaller that what is shown in the images in the website. And one of the biggest nuisance out here is the noise from apartments nearby. The walls are also flimsy as we heard noises of people trooping in and out from the floor above us through out the night as there was a party going on. Also noises from the courtyard below come right into the flight. I would not recommend this place . For the same price much better accommodations would be available in better locations.
Four of us stayed in an apartment made for six. Lovely welcome from the staff in the office, a lift to the apartment and a spacious high-quality base to explore Berlin. Close to the local U-Bahn station and some really good restaurants, shops and cafés (go to Impala) this was really good value and felt like actually being a Berliner rather than staying in a hotel. Highly recommended, light and modern accommodation with all the mod-cons.
We felt very lucky to be at Old Town Apartments. The place was beautiful; full of stark generous East Berlin architecture. It was an excellent base as well. We ate in the kitchen every morning, the bathroom had powerful hot water, there was an organic supermarket on the corner. There was even a play room for the kids! We had heard that Prenzlauerberg was great for families. We found a brilliant way to explore it...
Stayed here with family -had a 6person apt and a 4 person Studio..could not fault it in anyway, they are clean spacious and well equipped ..had to ring out of hrs for a travel cot ,iron and ironing board and there was someone knocking the door with all these items within 10mins..The staff are friendly and helpful..If you need extra towels or linen there is a store in the back building..There is someone there within office hrs..The office is about a 5 min walk away from apts .also a €42 City Tax that I didn't know about (my own fault for not reading the small print) only downside is no lift which might be an issue if your apt is high up .would also recommend an apt at the back as there can be early noise from the street..perfect Location train stain is a 10mins or less walk ..Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend it..
Stayed for 4 nights in mid-January. Apartment was pretty bare bones, but had everything we needed. The first night there was no heat or hot water in the entire unit, which was annoying to say the least when all 4 people had traveled 8 hours that day to get there and wanted to have a hot shower a a warm bed to sleep in. We contacted management and they said it would be fixed the second day, which it was. The shower in our 2 bedroom apartment was weird, it was a decent sized tub with a shower head mounted right next to it. It was annoying to constantly have to use one hand to hold the showerhead while using the shower. Not sure why they couldn't have mounted it higher on the wall so one could stand while using it. Kinda weird. Anyways, the location of the hotel was fantastic, very close to many great bars and restaurants, as well as the subway. Our room was 5 flights up, with no elevator Overall it was great value, considering we had four people splitting the 2 bedroom apartment. There was a small balcony off the living room which was a nice touch. I would consider staying there again if traveling to Berlin, but only if I knew that the heating and hot water would be working the entire time.
