Stayed in a superior room with 2 adults and 2 teen kids for 3 nights. The hotel was well run, clean, with very comfortable beds and sofa bed., and nice breakfast. Yes it was a squeeze for all of us to fit in, but the BA flight and hotel offer for £500 was too good to miss. The waffle maker and coffee machine were both big hits, the hotel is around the corner from the metro, and excellently positioned for the big sights. Recommended, I’d come again.
Stayed here on business for 3 nights. Whilst the entrance and restaurant / bar is modern and clean, the rest of the hotel is not. Rooms are spacious, but are very dated - decor, fixtures and fittings. The air conditioning machine in my room had a constant noise that couldn't be silenced. Laughably, when I explained to reception they offered me a free drinks voucher as there was nothing that could be done; 30 minutes later of my insistence it was silenced, but getting basic things corrected shouldn't be so difficult for customers. Equipment in the gym / fitness suite is limited to three very old cardio machines, one mat and two cheap dumbbells. I expect they provide this facility simply to market its existence, rather than to provide decent facilities for a work out.
This hotel is located in the center of Berlin about 2KM away from the Museums and about 1KM away from "Check Point Charlie". The hotel lobby has a nice bar area and a restaurant which is not bad but it does have a limited dinner menu. The hotel rooms are large, clean with modernized bathrooms. The bed is very comfortable and the rooms have a fully stocked bar. The hotel staff is very friendly and are very accommodating and helpful. The WIFI works well, so if you are there on business you are able to work. Overall good stay.
Rooms are very clean and modern with great views, our room was on the fifth floor, but we could still hear the traffic going past. We are in the restaurant the first evening, not cheap and not a lot of variety, two glasses of Pinot, 18 euros! Breakfast was very good and catered for all tastes.
Checking was quick and fuss free . Room was quite spacious for a city hotel bathroom had a medium sized walk in shower . Breakfast is included and nice variety inc cereals and the usual scrambled eggs ,tomatoes etc .We were on 5th floor and had a brow across the road which is fairly busy but with window closed it’s fairly quiet. Bed was very comfy and nice choice of pillows and I am a fussy sleeper so A+ on that score. Strange stagnant smell from the bathroom sink is my only complaint and v very limited room Service menu .Food in restaurant was a bit greasy for me as I prefer a nice healthy option so we mostly eat out . On the whole nice hotel and they even rent out baby buggies should you need one . Not a very central hotel if you have limited mobility but pleasant . The free WiFi works in your room but does keep cutting out if you are downloading films do it before you arrive .
Easy to find just down the street from the UBahn so worth checking out the route from airport. Single use train and underground ticket at 3,40 euros allows you to go from airport to hotel doorstep changing at A-Platz. Either that or 45 Euro taxi! Check in easy and quick, room on 6th floor in neutral colours, king size bed and big double bed settee for teenager. Power shower was amazing and offered a choice of jets on shower. Had Sky International. Always good to hear something familiar. No problem with Wifi and had great breakfast making waffles in a grill iron for first time. Only down side for me was that the food was incredibly expensive as were drinks so couldn’t eat there. Burger and chips dressed up to sound important was 17,50. Would definitely stay again and in other Novotel.
Stayed here with two friends in a triple room as part of a boozy weekend away. Re. The room: Beds were very comfortable and the hygiene staff did a brilliant job of fixing our mess after nights out...oops. Staff were always courteous and polite, as well as more than willing to make recommendations to us for places to eat and drink whilst in the city. Local amenities are good. There’s a well stocked, albeit small, supermarket a minutes stroll down the road. (Warning- isn’t open on a Sunday). The coffee shop opposite the hotel isn’t so bad either! -ves: The gym is woefully under equipped. Manage your expectations if you’re thinking of getting a good workout in! Note for management: Chuck a flat bench and a few more dumbbells in the gym and you’ll be good to go. If you’re planning to walk to local attractions, the hotel is located somewhat of a mooch away from the Brandenburg area for instance. However, there is a metro station literally a couple of minutes walk away which is very handy.
wi fi falled 3 days, it smells strange in the room, heater doesn´t work.. if they know that wi fi has fallen, why they give us a “free premium wi fi” as an Accor Hotels Club member?: they treated us as we were stupid.
We arrived to the hotel at 24:15 (night time!) all was great smooth delivery of 2 rooms together (3 kids+2 parents). Breakfast is GREAT, and do not take it with it a=priory as the hotel charges 18 Euro per adult and 3 Euro per child. All of us found it great and we repeated the deal... Location - next to UBAHN you will have to ask for directions but it is close. Location about 1 Km from Alexanderplatz. In the hotel there is a geem (we did not try it) in the basement.Room are clean and bathroom great. The only issue - 3 days they had issues with the WIFI it did not work most of the time. I take it as a major problem, as we took it because this feature as well.
