The Nhow is really an experience, this time I stayed in a room overlooking the river, and larger than a standard room (I think it was a family room). The room was delightfully spacious and the bathroom was amazing, a shower, stand alone bath and double sinks. Bed was comfortable and the view was stunning, the weather was great which helped. The breakfast is very overpriced (still), and on our second morning, they ran out of hot food, and no-one filled our coffee cups. There were very few staff around, which was probably the issue. A live DJ both evenings added to the club like atmosphere, and the deck overlooking the river is incredibly relaxing and luxurious, particularly in the sunshine. The surrounding area is quite eclectic, you're a short taxi ride from delicious restaurants in Alexanderplatz, on the opposite side of the river, it's a student area, so restaurants are cheaper and more relaxed. If you love music, this is most definitely the place to stay.
I stayed recently in nhow on a short business trip. The hotel has a nice quirky music theme (you can get elevator playlist on Spotify). It's right on the river, which offers a good terrace to relax on. However, overall, I was disappointed in the service which was probably below what you'd expect in a four-star hotel. Check-in was fine, if a bit slow - but granted it was busy. I couldn't get service outside on the terrace, so had to go to the hotel bar. Here you could not pay via card, only cash for some reason. Wi-Fi was also a little awkward to join, but once I had figured it out worked well. The room itself was really nice and comfortable, though the TV never worked. Lastly, on the positive side the breakfast was very good, with a good assortment. The largest disappointment was in the restaurant. We had arranged a dinner for a medium size group in the evening and I was looking forward to it after hearing great reviews on the food. Unfortunately, there was a mix-up and our group was apparently forgotten about. Eventually we had a strange mix of food appear after a long wait. I wouldn't say it was very appetising. Regarding the drinks, well let's just say it was a bit random if you'd get anything or even what you expected. Overall, I can see the hotel having potential, but it was let down by the service largely. Also, be aware of the location in case you want to use it as a base to explore the city. Not sure I'd return if I'm honest.
We stayed here for 4 days. Nice modern and clean hotel. The breakfast was so good we stayed everyday for 1.5h at the breakfast. When it is sunny you can enjoy the terras On the waterfront. Hotel is a bit out of the city centre. Good public transport at the hotel
All the 'issues' we had with this hotel were essentially minor ones. We enjoyed our stay and the staff were generally helpful. Rooms are well kept and have plenty of space. I could not work out how to use the 'in-room' controller to alter the room temperature. The Wifi worked well. Very convenient for walking to the Eastside Gallery and Treptower Park. Warsaw str. S & U Bahn stations are a short walk.
Same as last time great place, and starting to explore the area even more wow, all day parties. on the opposite side of the river, with lovely walk ways along the river inlets. a must to explore. 24hour clubbing and some lovely little rustic restaurants.
Got upgraded as we were there previously which was nice surprise. Bed was a bit hard but overall the room was great with great views of the river Spree. Bar was enjoyable even with odd furniture which kept you sliding back into the depths of the seat. Staff friendly and efficient. Walks along the river were enjoyable just outside of the hotel.
First time recently at this hotel, very cool music concept elevators with different music, rooms functional even if i am not sure about the pink color, nice bar, terrace and very good breakfast till late. On the downside when i arrive at the hotel between the time i entered the hotel to the moment i got my keys about 25 minutes passed, two receptionists at the desk and each queue had 5 people in front, kind of supermarket feeling on top of it some people needed to be transferred to other hotels as there was an overbooking situation only quiet some time later a third came up. Strange thing is that there was a gentlemen in the lobby which after all discovered to be the duty manager who however was just observing things but never come to the guests waiting or to help. I went then to the terrace and no-one came to take order, once i went to the bar they told me that they don’t do table service, strange for a 4 stars and if so there should be a sign to avoid guests waiting for someone who would never come to help and why not terrace service if it is open? Despite my room was paid by my company as i was there for work and this was confirmed upon check in, when i check out they didn’t have this info and they asked me to pay, which i didn’t, at the end they decided that it was fine. I think it is a nice hotel and concept but the waiting time and service don’t go with it, may be i came in at the wrong moment but it is something for management to look into and especially when a manager on duty is in the lobby watching can give even more frustration if you have to wait. Reception staff was very nice, bar staff not really friendly. I ll probably go back and hopefully those matters i just mentioned will be addressed If not i am not sure how your stay can be “elevated” as the hotel communicates. Feels a pity having to rate this nice hotel 3 and not 5 just because of disorganisation
Awesomely located NHow Berlin is a great hotel - right by the river spree with a cool breeze that hits you if you’re on the bank outside the hotel. The hotel has a decent bar and has a music theme. The rooms are the ones to watch out for - the pink wavy decor pays tribute to the disco era (I guess) while the rooms, while functional have pretty good service.
Lovely rooms, comfortable bed and fabulous design. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Good location close to subway and attractions. Breakfast was really good and my husband adored the guitar room service.
Fun hotel with lovely, friendly staff! Very pink ...! Breakfast was nice with so much to pick from. Sausage not great and cold but everything else was really nice. Drinks were fairly expensive and slow coming and in 3 nights we never saw a single DJ so he must of finished before 11pm! Never the less would stay again! Be prepared to cab into the centre of town it’s not a quick walk. Always cabs outside the hotel available and they offer free car hire!
