Clean rooms and excelent decoration, very cozy. The breakfast was very complete. Many kinds of juice, bread, fruits. The recepcionists received me very well and helped me in all my questions. Transportation just across the street.
Beautiful hotel and great staff. Gave us good directions and travel information and guides to sightseeing places. Asked for tea in the room and extra pillows, all no problem but they only have creamer. We paid for breakfast ( about £15) expensive but if you can eat, really worth it. Little supermarket and restaurant round the back of the hotel was handy for snacks and a late dinner. Would stay again if in the area.
On Mar.7 we were a team flying from a destination of 10 hour flight to Berlin. We all booked our hotel in NH from our Co. side. At 23:00 I arrived to the hotel. I was informed i should be booked out as the hotel in fully book. I as a travel Agent I am very accustomed to these issues. First I told the reception, my colleges are in this hotel as we are planning to go to the Messe it is very hard for me to be booked out. she was so impolite and rude with a very bad manner said this is not my problem you should leave the hotel or you can sleep in the middle of the lobby on the floor. Due to my job I am a frequent traveler this was the first time in my entire life I was confronted with such a rude and impolite manner. I told her I am not the one that has made this problem you are not allowed to talk with me in such a manner. Please tell your manager to come. TO my amazement she said I can not call her or him( I do not remember )you can stand here and do what ever you want or sleep on the floor.I am told to remove you to another hotel. That is what I will do. I said what is the other possibility for the two of us. She said no other possibility you should go. And all this was in a loud and very impolite gestures. At the end I was removed. As she said nothing was done for. The next day I myself went to the other NH hotel which I was removed to and requested to book a room for my colleagues and it was done. I definitively know these type of problems occur but we should be very polite and always the customer is the person that has the right. IF she was my employee for sure she should have paid for the action she did. I
This hotel of the NH group offers the full circle of amenities that you expect from a 4-star hotel. The personnel at the check-in is extremely helpful and competent. I arrived two days late and needed to stay one day longer. They dealt with it within seconds, on top of processing my parking permit in their underground parking lot. The hotel itself is conveniently close to the Alexanderplatz and freshly renovated and refurbished in a way that is highly functional, modern, fashionable and tasteful. Great bathrooms and cool wooden floors. The breakfast is delicious as much as it offers a vast variety of choices. A great team in a great hotel. Certainly the right choice for anyone who is visiting Berlin! Thanks a lot, Team NH Alexanderplatz, especially to Misses Heider who made a complicated travel very easy for me! Excellently done!
The experience is terrible. I am in Berlin for work and I simply cannot sleep. The heating system is so strong that it dries the air to an extreme that I have to wake up several times during the night to drink water and my nose is so dry that it hurts. Of course you don't need to cover yourself to sleep and you don't even need a pijama at all. Opening the window with -11 outside is not an option and it also noisy. Terrible.
The NH Berlin Alexanderplatz is a great hotel to stay BUT it's not very close to Alexanderplatz. However the tram/trolly is conveniently located down a block, The location is in a quiet area with a very beautiful park next door and TRAM station a few meters. The hotel itself is well put together in a modern style, with reasonable rates for a 4-star hotel. We had a room on the 6th floor, clean and quite comfortable. We didn´t had breakfast and at this NH hotel the Breakfast Buffet cost 24€ Pp, which I think is quiet expensive. I will stay here again and I will recommend this hotel. I have stayed in other hotels at the Alexander Platz and I found this NH better than the other hotels.
Hotel is a good 20 mins or 3 tram stops from Alexanderplatz. Not much around hotel unless you take tram. On arrival front doors were broken, only one lift working throughout stay, room bedding and bathroom clean but room very tired, grotty and no tea or coffee facilities. Staff helpful enough. Lots of construction work going on inside and outside. Woken at 7am by outside drilling on Friday of our stay. Building work inside woke us at 9am on the saturday, Bell homes woke us at 9am O Sunday. Very noisy, pretty basic and not at all what I would expect from a 4 star hotel. I a. Not a fussy person but wld not choose to stay here again.
The NH Berlin Alexanderplatz is, compared to other hotels of this group, surely of lower-end quality - and not located at Alexanderplatz, but 2 metro stations away in a neighborhood undergoing heavy refurbishment - as does the hotel...the lower floor is a construction area. Our room has been rather noisy, and service OK, but not charming. They actually charge 5 €/person for visiting their spa (which is rather okay). The breakfast is comaratively good, but charging 25 Euros p.p. is on the high side. Hope the hotel improves on its quality after the reconstruction is finished - you may want to make sure this is the case before booking!
We have just returned from this hotel, please be aware that there are extensive renovations happening in the public areas, something we were not aware of when we booked. I'm sure once these are carried out it will be a lovely enough hotel, the rooms are a good size and very clean, staff we encountered were friendly and efficient and is very quiet. A good 10 minute walk from alexanderplatz but is not that big a deal.
We stayed at this excellent hotel for a short break and had a great time, lovely hotel. It’s very handy for the city centre and Berlin is one of our favourite places. Our room was really good, and the reception and bar staff first class.
