The staffs are very nice. The hotel is clean and quiet. The only complaint is the comfort is too thick for summer. We had to keep the air conditioner running low in the night. Other wise it’s too hot to sleep with the thick comfort.

The only minor feedback is that there is not an iron in the rooms. Aside from that, the hotel is great, the staff are fantastic and it is very conveniently located close to transport.

The staff was beyond helpful and friendly. This is typical of German hotels and the culture. They really go out of their way to help, without discrimination. The rooms are not that big, but they are super clean, comfy and have balconies.

Comfortable and friendly

Friendly check-in, comfortable and clean room, good coffee in the restaurant downstairs. They even fixed a minor issue with the bathroom sink over a holiday after I reported it, even though I said it wasn't urgent.

I had a few issues with the services and the room during my 5 days stay at NEWBERLIN hotel. What was great is the location, kitchen and the personnel running it as they were very friendly and helpful serving lovely breakfast and dishes. However, the reception desk team need some training in customer care and communication skills to listen to complaints and respond accordingly. Thank God, the management of the hotel was very responsive and took action to resolve the issue. Hope this was a one time off incident not to be repeated again. Thanks to all the staff for their hard work.

Sewage smells. Poor infrastructure.

On the surface, this hotel looks fine… clean dining area, friendly staff… However, the infrastructure was horrible. The AC did not work for the first 2 days. The temperature in my room was 26 degrees Celsius (about 78 degrees Fahrenheit). The safe never worked. It was broken the entire time. I was personally trapped in the elevator two times and had to ring an emergency bell and wait for a group of people to pull the elevator doors open with their fingers. But the worse part of my stay, by far, was the constant stench of sewage in my room. Yes. Sewage! There was an open drain on the floor of my bathroom that didn’t seem to empty itself. I notified the reception and they didn’t seem surprised, but also didn’t fix it. I put towels on top of the drain and tried to keep the bathroom door closed so that I could breathe when I was in the room, but the stench was overpowering and I began to have headaches. My toiletries, toothbrush and other items smelled of sewage even after I had left the hotel and I am still surprised that there was no attempt on the part of a manager to apologize for this terrible inconvenience.
