The room was nice at a resonable price! The staff were also very polite and helpful. I have made several special requests, and havent been charged for that! Also the public transportation is very close nearby, so you will have no problem visiting Berlin!
Came here for a city break with the girlfriend and we were not disappointed! The hotel room was really nice and cosy with lovely open room and nice carpet, heated bathroom floor and a big shower. Hotel staff were very polite and friendly, we asked for extra pillows which wasn't a problem and they even let us check out 3hours later no extra charge! Breakfast included was awesome too. In terms of location you had the tram 2mins away so you could get anywhere central in under 15mins. There's a nice pizzeria and restaurant round the corner too if you didn't fancy travelling. Very, very happy with this place and would happily come here again.
Inexpensive, lovely big quiet room, excellent breakfast. Lift service. Friendly reception. In old east Berlin but good connection to centre and Schonefeld airport. A fairly quiet part of town. Highly recommended.
The classic rooms look just like the hotel pics. The staff was extremely friendly and willing to fulfill our requests. The hotel itself is a little outside the touristy area, but we walked 5 min to the tram and were in Alexanderplatz in less than 10 min. European shower without doors was interesting, but sometimes the bathroom floor got very wet. The breakfast was excellent: two types of eggs, yogurt, cereal, sausage, bacon, fruit, cold cuts... pretty much everything! Great coffee, comfy beds and quiet rest.
Everything great (especially staff). A block from streetcar. A few minutes to Alexanderlatz. Very cute room. The Restaunt service and food near exquisite. All except the WIFI. That's the only negative from a ten, Ten, TEN, T E N. BILL
We had a lovely three night stay. Friendly staff, comfortable bed and fresh breakfast with plenty of options. Quiet neighborhood but easy access everywhere with trams. We can highly recommend this hotel.
The hotel is very nice. Breakfast was very good and the staff was very nice. I liked to location which near a funky neighborhood with a lot of good restaurants. The room had a king size bed. The restaurant was very good as well though we only ate there the first night as there were many more places to try. The tram was close and connected to the underground to anywhere in the city.
We requested a kingsized bed in our booking and got two single beds. We then asked for a different room but they were full so we requested at least a double blanket (3 times) and received new one person blankets each time. Wifi was practically unusable in our room (5th floor). The light switches were highly impractical and sometimes didn't switch off. The Sauna was great, could be locked even so it was private but slightly strange that there was zero supervision for this. Breakfast was great with long hours which was really nice so we could sleep in, staff there was friendly and there was gluten free bread for me. Although not a big problem its slightly unfortunate that we had to walk outside to get to the breakfast. Room service is until 22:00, after that no cup of tea could be brought up unfortunately. Shower in our room drained very slowly so couldn't shower for more than 5 minutes. Although not a problem for us, there was only 1 room card (which was needed for the elevator) so we either had to both leave or one was left in the dark. All in all we had a nice stay but expected from a 4 star hotel.
The room was exactly the same as photograph on website. Comfortable bed and very clean. Well stocked minibar if your into that. Our room was facing side street but even so very noisy with traffic, particularly ambulances heading to the hospital nearby. You can close windows and rely on aircon instead, if the noise is a problem. Good choice and quality of breakfast available, with a lot of items served in individual pots. Staff are efficient and unobtrusive. The quality of food in the resturant is excellent, with big portions. The menu is not extensive but covers most preferences. We ate there each night (4) and had a different dish each time. All freshly prepared and well executed. The resturant was never too busy and the service from Saskia was wonderful. She is an assest to the hotel, she has a great manner and is very helpful and very good at her job. The reception staff are varied, most are helpful and friendly but the one who checked us in had a poor manner and we felt as though we had interupted her from something more interesting than doing her job of welcoming guests. The hotel is a short walk to the tram, which is a great way to get around. TOP TIP buy a Berlin Welcome pass.
My husband and I booked this hotel for our first anniversary getaway and were really happy. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the food was amazing. The breakfast was served in a building out the back of the main hotel and had so much choice. It was all labelled so there was no looking at things for ages wondering what they are (which is often what I do when I go to restaurants abroad). We also had room service delivered on the first of our stay and the amount of food we got for the price was unbelievable as well as the steak being one of the best we'd ever eaten. It is a distance from where all the main attractions are so my advise to anyone who does not like getting on public transport is that this hotel is not for you. Once we had worked out the tram system however it was easy to get to anything we wanted. Just a minute walk left out of the hotel and you're at the tram stop. We did try walking to alexanderplatz on the first day and it took us about 45 minutes and there is nothing of interest on the way down. Inside the room it was carpeted everywhere which was so nice to walk on and the ensuite bathroom was lovely. Super powerful shower and a hairdryer on the wall. Even German radio inbuilt into the wall (if you like that kind of thing). There was sky TV on the huge TV in our room but it was all in German. TV isn't something that bothers us a massive amount but it's nice to have something on in the background when we're getting ready to go out or when we're in bed at night. There is a well stocked mini bar. Some of the items are well over priced but a couple of the drinks were quite reasonable if you are really thirsty. I recommend the fritz kola. You get complimentary bottles of water when you get there too. There is also a supermarket about a 5 minute walk round to the left of the hotel which stocks anything you need anyway. I'd definitely recommend this hotel for couples and for those who like the experience of public transport.
