Off the beaten path, but a great neighborhood hotel. Our first visit to Berlin, and the hotel staff made it fantastic. Lots of restaurants within a couple of short blocks. We had excellent Russian, German and Italian food within walking distance. The breakfast is overwhelming with variety and Karen is 5 stars!! The bathroom was really nice and the bed comfortable. If you are looking for a 500 room Marriott, this is not your place but I will stay here again, and again!!!!

Very nice hotel and decent value. Quiet location. Clean and comfortable beds. Pretty good location - close to tram to Alexanderplatz . Good wifi. Great shower and bath. Wonderful breakfast in the morning with fresh fruit, breads, and eggs and bacon. Best surprise was the sauna in the basement.

When we arrived after a tiring day of travel, we were delighted by the old fashioned charm and modern comfort of this hotel. We had a sitting room with two armchairs and two desks, a bedroom, and bath--all very spacious. Overlooking the courtyard garden, the room was very quiet, and with the blackout drapes shutting out the light, conditions were ideal for sleeping ten hours a night--which we did. (Luckily the excellent breakfast buffet is served until 11 am.) The hotel is not in the city center, but it is convenient to excellent public transit, and after a day of sightseeing it was nice to come back to a residential area with excellent restaurants within easy walking distance. The staff were efficient and helpful, and the artwork displayed in the public areas was an interesting plus. We'll stay here again if we return to Berlin.

Really love this place as superb value for money. Room excellent with different types of pillows at your disposal. Roomy space. Helpful English speaking staff. And the breakfast was above average. The tea options took me aback: variety of fresh leaves and had all of the fixings.

We were in room 65, a double. Not huge, but spacious enough. Double bed, wingback chair, desk w/chair. Bathroom was great! Towel warming rack, good shower, very modern. There was actually a little foyer as you entered the room with a little table for misc stuff as you went in and out. Two hooks for coats & hats right inside the door. Nice sized cabinet for hanging clothes with shelves and a safe inside. One of the best and most varied breakfasts I have experienced. Outstanding coffee! Location was great. quiet neighborhood with a great little restaurant/bar a two minute walk down the street (Metzer Eck). Handy to the tram (M2) abt 2 minute walk, and then 5 minutes to Alexanderplatz. The staff were great, especially Knut at reception, and everyone in the breakfast room. Elevator. There's a separate elevator just past the steps in the entryway to get luggage up to the reception level.

In September my wife and I stayed a week at Myer's Hotel. We found the hotel a very good value. We had a very nice room and the breakfast was very good. Staff very helpful and friendly. The hotel very convenient to a U-Bahn station so you have good connections to virtually site you'd want to visit in the greater Berlin area. Suggest getting a Berlin Card for multi-day transit savings. There are several nice restaurants are within a 10-15 walk from the hotel. Would definitely stay here again!

This hotel has been recently refurbished and offers comfortably appointed rooms for a decent price. It’s location is ideal for both exploring Berlin and attending meetings in the city. Breakfast is varied and top quality, including the service. Will definitely return, for business trips and pleasure.

We have visited Berlin many times, always staying at business hotels. Not anymore. The Myer's is a lovely and friendly hotel with extremely comfortable rooms and a top-notch breakfast. Its Prenzlauer Berg location is close to public transportation and many good restaurants. If you're looking for a hotel to give you a real feel for a charming Berlin neighborhood, this is the one.

This beautiful little hotel has what you might broadly describe as a baroque decor, but is tasteful, and offers all the necessary amenities. The location is fantastic -- just steps from a frequent tram that is two stops from Alexanderplatz, which is a local transportation hub. There are also many restaurants nearby. Staff are friendly and helpful and speak good English. Breakfast is good -- although they could use a more efficient toaster! I also didn't realize until the last day that you can order eggs cooked the way you like them (in addition to the boiled and scrambled eggs regularly on offer. And in the "nothing is perfect" category, I'd have to say that the scrambled eggs aren't very good. The hotel has an elevator. It's tiny and slow, but they probably can't do much about that. And it does the job, if not very efficiently. These are minor quibbles, though. It's a great hotel and will be my "go-to" accommodation on any future trips to Berlin.

There are so many positives about this lovely hotel situated in a great area of Berlin. The rooms are spacious, clean, the décor is traditional and the beds are comfy. The rooms are quite dark which some guests might not like but for me it was a brilliant nights sleep. For breakfast there's so many options and breakfast is until 11am which is means you can have a lie in! There are the usual cheeses, breads and hams but so much choice! There's a nice area outside the breakfast room - on several mornings we took a cup of tea out with us to sit in the garden part. The staff are very hit and miss (more miss to be honest). They appear uninterested, are unfriendly and any request (such as a drink from the "bar" - I say "bar" because it's unmanned and very small) is met with a sigh and the impression that your request is a massive inconvenience for them. It was very strange to have unfriendly staff all week and then on our last day for the staff member to be unfriendly at check-out until the last second when he plastered on a big grin, handed us sweets and said that the sweets were because he hoped we would have sweet memories of the Myers hotel... a strange moment to say the least... but it proves they can be friendly!! It's a real pity because its such a lovely hotel. However I would go back because the good far outweighs the bad and I have given 5 stars because I had such a lovely time even the unpleasant staff couldn't put a dampener on it!
