This quirky hotel is in the old east Berlin residential neighborhood. Surrounded by the apartments that are of the same look, same height...I feel like I am still living in the eastern block. There are few restaurants here and there, and a organic market down the street. Tram is nearby, but S-Bahn and U-Bahn is about 10 minutes away. I had a standard room that is very small with small bathroom, no bathtub and a mini shower. Room is clean and well maintained, but housekeeping does minimum work and never replenish your amenities . There is hardly any service to speak of, no bell staff, no concierge, pretty much do it yourself! i also found the front desk staff to be less than pleasant, nor helpful. It's a good European hotel, it's just not my "thing".
I had the pleasure of staying in this lovely hotel for ten days while visiting Berlin. From the moment I arrived I was met with a warm welcome and shown to my tastefully decorated room. My marble-clad bathroom included both a shower and a large soaking tub along with heated floors and a towel warmer-a welcome luxury during a week of below freeze my temperatures. The daily breakfast buffet surpassed my expectations and included a variety of selections for every taste. The staff are lovely but those working the breakfast room are certainly exceptional. I felt spoilt by their attention every morning. I’m not often in Berlin, but I can assure you I will definitely stay in this amazing hotel the next time I’m in town. A heartfelt ‘Danke’ to all the staff who made my stay so special.
The staff were extremely patient and very helpful with whatever question we had. The rooms were very warm (temps were - 8). I found the pillows small and narrow - so difficult to sleep and the mattress was very hard. The rooms were cleaned every day and fresh towels left. They are extremely thin? The shower is huge and the water was always hot. Again another welcome treat after being outside all day. We asked for a kettle for our room which was brought up immediately. We had taken coffee sachets and bought cups round the corner at the "Pound shop/ Euro shop. There is a very good supermarket across the road - come out of hotel, turn right at the cross roads , cross over and it is on the left. There is also a lovely cafe on that corner. If you are going to the city centre, then at the cross road, turn right and walk for about 5 mins and catch the s bahn at Halansee station. Their public transport network is a little difficult to follow. It was not just us, but most people we spoke to. The Welcome card is a waste of time unless you are travelling with children. We wasted our money on that. There are several good quality restaurants on the main road near the hotel all serving outstanding quality food.
We stayed in the Myers hotel for 5 days in late August 2017 in one of the rooms with the upgraded bath shower/jacuzzi tub perfect for those who like a hot bath. The room was well appointed and furnished in an old world style which I thought was perfect for the location and Berlin. We requested a high floor and were rewarded with a pretty rooftop view and the TV tower. Our friends had a view over the lovely courtyard. I can't say enough about the breakfast buffet. It is one of the largest I have ever seen. There were plenty of hot (eggs, sausage, potatoes) and cold (bread, cereal, fruit, cheese, cold cuts, sausage) options, enough to fill you up for the good part of the day. The staff were excellent, especially the lady who helped with breakfast, I believe her name was Karin. She was a delight! She was ever present but not over bearing, with fresh plates, cutlery, and coffee. The front desk staff were also great helping with advice and making pre-dinner drinks at the bar. The hotel I think is ideally located in a very walkable neighborhood. It is very close to both a tram and a subway stop. There were great little bars and restaurants on the street and at the corner where the subway there is an organic market, great for picking up cheese, wine or odds and ends that you forget. Oh, and for those of you who get up early or dealing with jet lag there is a 24 hour cafe called bread & coffee a 10 min walk away! Myers Hotel may not be for hipsters but for seasoned travelers looking for comfort and convenience, you couldn't ask for more.
Premium room was very good with all the essencials. Beds confortable, big bathroom, an excellent breakfast, practical and friendly staff. The 20's decor gave a very nice touch to the Hotel, which is also very well located (tram station to Alexanderplatz just around the corner, 5 minutes walk to the UBahn).
My family stayed here for 2 nights, occupying 1 double room and twin room. The rooms were quite spacious, including the bathroom with tub and separate shower. Beds were comfortable, but we would have preferred firmer pillows. The hotel is a 2-minute walk to the nearest tram station, which will get you easily to Alexanderplatz. There was so much food for breakfast! Different breads, cold cuts, cheeses, cereals, eggs, yogurts, granola, juices, salmon. Spoiled for choice. May I just add that Reception desk staff were always helpful about giving directions. By the way, one may purchase tram tickets from them. I would strongly recommend this hotel to travelers to Berlin.
I stayed one night at the Myers Hotel on Nov 20th. It is located right off the Tram stop. It was cold and raining but I was greeted with a warm smile and friendly attitude from the front desk host. She was so helpful and was able to check me in prior to the scheduled check in time. She even let me borrow an adapter since I had left mine at home. My room was so cute and cozy. It was actually much larger than I expected. The bed was super comfortable. I would definitely stay there again. I had breakfast in the morning and was served by the lovely "Lo" he was very helpful and engaging. I will definitely make this my go to Berlin hotel.
Room was beautifully furnished. Bed was very comfortable. Spacious bathroom with bathtub and separate shower. Exceptional breakfast buffet including gluten free options on demand. The only negatives were a not so friendly front desk staff and an awful and smelly hallway leading to our room. Dirty, stained carpet and walls. When I inquired about this, a staff member told me there was “construction” going on. I saw no evidence of that. In fairness, floors 1-4 did not have this problem.
Nice hotel, splendid breakfast and outstanding bathrooms. This is a nice hotel in the pleasant Prenzlauer Berg. In the nearby you have lots of restaurants, bar and cafés. You have an underground nearby that can take you to other parts of the town. The breakfast was excellent. However, the bathrooms were spectacular. Never seen anything like it.
Very old hotel, small rooms, small bed. Bad smell of cigarettes in the halls. Bad location, dishonest and rude manager. This is not 4 star hotel! There are enough much better hotels in Berlin. ..................................................
