I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. The room was nice but very small. The people at the desk were helpful but they didn't go out of their way to really tell us what a great neighborhood they were located in! We figured out after several days that two streets away there were many good cafes and restaurants and on Saturdays, there is the most incredible Street Market. The breakfasts at the Myer's was the best I had in all of Germany. So much selection and delicious options! I would stay there again but I would ask for a larger room! The only other point to note is the lobby smells like old cigarettes. One doesn't spend much time in the lobby so that was OK.
Just returned from a lovely stay at Hotel Myers. We stayed 3 nights over a weekend. Breakfast included and plenty of choice. Friendly staff and an excellent location, walking distance to restaurants and bars. 15 min walk from Alexanderplatz. We hired bikes from reception too. Room was small but plenty big enough for two people.
Myers hotel is in a nice residential area just a half block from the tram to the tourist attractions. The area has many very nice restaurants at slightly lower prices than the tourist areas and much better choices and service. The rooms match the website description - good bed/bath/ventilation but a little noisy if you are facing the street with open windows. Ask for rear facing/upper floor if you need quiet. Breakfast has good cold choices but hot choices were limited.
We loved Myers Hotel! It has it all - comfort, helpful staff, great breakfast and excellent staff. The rooms are spacious and very nicely decorated. We had a suite and it was much larger than we expected with a full bath. The air conditioner has its own local controls and worked great (something that we did not find in some other European hotels.) The shared areas (including a patio) have lots of interesting art. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast is white tablecloth elegant with lots of delicious options. Myers Hotel is located in an area that is mostly residential with great restaurants within walking distance. The sidewalks are tree-lined and the neighborhood is quiet. Great access to public transportation and a quick taxi ride to the tourist attractions.
Wonderful hotel and breakfast, great neighborhood. Really liked the art they have. Large room, nice view. Exceptional breakfast. Good access to U bang and trolleys. Very nice restaurants. Very pretty street within walking distance to a lot of cool stuff.
My husband and I arrived in Berlin on the 17th May and stayed for a week in the Myer's Hotel, Metzer Str 26, Berlin. It was extremely comfortable and had an old world feel about it but with all modern amenities. Our bedroom was a good size and included a table and two armchairs, a long dressing table with chair and a wardrobe with a safe. The bathroom had a lovely rain shower and also a hand held one. As I like the room to be dark at night when I am sleeping I was delighted that the large windows had net and heavy dark curtains to keep out the bright early morning light. Our room overlooked a small central courtyard so our room was quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfasts absolutely wonderful with a great array of food choices. As the weather was very pleasant most days we were able to eat breakfast on the patio with a lovely view of the garden. The area where the hotel is located is called Prenzlauerberg and within strolling distance you will find lots of restaurants and some shops. It is a short walk to Alexanderplatz which has large department stores. I would be delighted to return to the Myer's Hotel.
Myers is in an upscale neighborhood just a quick tram away from the tourist attractions. If you are out for the day touring, it is the perfect location to return to in the late afternoon to relax before going out to dinner at the local restaurants - just as Berlin-y as in the core of the city but better service, better prices. The rooms were as described - good beds, good ventilation, new bathrooms, and spacious enough for the two of us. The breakfast was delicious with all the usual European cold fare. Hot choices were limited to scrambled eggs, meats, and boiled eggs.
The Myers hotel is a stylish, well located hotel and is good value for money. Staff are mixed; some friendly (especially the breakfast room), some frankly not so much. Overall no complaints other than the exceptionally uncomfortable beds. First of all the double beds have single duvets that can't be kept on the bed and second of all the large number of pillows were either comically large or tiny and lumpy. Its a great base to visit this fantastic city but if you value your sleep..bring your own pillow...and maybe sheets.
We had an absolutely wonderful 4 day stay at Myer's Hotel in Berlin! We were traveling with my son and daughter-in-law and reserved two wonderful rooms. The rooms were just perfect with brightly lit bathrooms with wonderful amenities including a "rain shower" head - I just loved it!! Breakfast was the BEST!! A huge variety of cereals, meats cheeses, delicious breads and rolls, pastries and all types of spreads, hot dishes such as eggs, sausages and much more. The staff is fantastic and aim to please each and every guest. I loved the lobby area with very wonderful art work (I loved the "bottle cap" mural! Myers is located in a very nice location. The trolley to the downtown areas is right down the street. We loved our stay and would be thrilled to stay at Myers again next time we travel to Berlin.
