Mercure Hotel Berlin City

The room itself was very spacious, and was perfectly located to get around the city, with a U-bahn station right outside. Room was tidy, although towels and sheets could have been replaced more often; instead they were just taken and not replenished, but I'm sure we could have asked for more at reception. The bar staff were friendly, and involved us in the drink-making process. Overall we were really impressed!

organised this for a trip away after a bad year last year. On arrival the receptionist handed me my key and told me nothing on the hotel. Got to the room a single duvet on the bed and one people - we were two people and it was confirmed as a double called for larger duvet and pillows and a the same receptionist arrived with another single duvet and the most uncomfortable pillows i have ever slept on. bar staff are amazing and work with a smile

Really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and provided everything we needed for our stay. The hotel is also situated close the tube, tram and main station which was handt

I stayed in hotel during my business visit in march 2018. Location was ok for reach all transportation hubs train, tram, bus etc. Special side of the hotel was positive staff behaviours at all places in hotel . Special thanks to General Manager Mr Philip for his organisation and Mrs Michalina who made my all day positive with her compassionate welcome on breakfast area ... Breakfast was higher than my expectation with a rich and fresh varieties . I will come again here . Danke Schön Mercure Berlin team ...

The Mercure Hotel is located just two stops away from Berlin Central station and wonderful connectivity. The hotel is so near to the main city points, yet away from the hustle and bustle so you can enjoy some quiet time after a fun filled day outdoors. The staff is very friendly, check in available 24 hours, and the bar in the lobby is also quite good. The beds are comfy and the walls are full of engineering diagrams explaining the flight of a bird(??). Probably an effort to highlight German engineering, which we all know about. Whatever ! Its a nice place to stay and definitely recommended.

Fantastic hotel. Clean and modern. Shame about Sandra M on reception. She was very rude. Definately brought the whole experience down a star. Other staff were pleasant and very helpful. The hotel is close to many amenities and major tourist attractions. The tram right outside (M10) takes you to the East Side Gallery, although this is not the quickest way to get there, it is door to door, literally. There is a tube station (Naturkundemuseum) 2 mins away and Berlin is easy to get around, clear signage and maps everywhere. A single fare costs €2.80. Brandenburg gate is a 25min walk away from the hotel, well worth seeing the city in action. We got a deal for breakfast on the day we checked in €12 instead of €19. It is nice, but there is so much to see you may want to eat out at one of the many establishments in the surrounding area. We walked quite a bit, the hotel is nice and central and staff did help us to get around. Smart TV in the room had a few English speaking channels, including SKYnews. Others were available if you change the settings to English on the remote control. There were usb ports (2) and also several plug points in the room. We had a view to the courtyard which was nice enough. The bed was comfy and we got two solid nights sleep. You can actually call to reception for different types of pillow if you so wish! All in all Berlin is a beautiful city and the Mecure is a good base to see it from. The rude member if staff was certainly not the norm here.

There is one key feature that a modern hotel can’t afford to neglect; a decent wifi connection. Unfortunately, the speed of the connection in my room was slower than a 1990s connection, and made it impossible for me to carry out much needed work during my stay. Such problems make a hotel unfit for business travellers. The hotel offers a supposedly faster connection for a price of €6 per day. I tried this, but connection speed was as slow as ever. Furthermore, such an additional charge should be a thing of the past and really irks me as a hotel guest. The hotel urgently needs to check the connection in all its rooms. If not, this problem risks overshadowing other positive features such as a rather good location, modern rooms and comfortable bed and a tasty breakfast. Regarding the breakfast, I should add that although tasty, it seems overpriced at a rate of 19 euros.

Really good hotel and confortable room! The food is also nice! The only problem is when we ask for breakfast they told us that is from 6-12 but that was only for the weekend! And we went for breakfast at 10:30 on Monday and was closed! Really bad surprise!

The Mercure hotel was recommended to us by a friend .We were very impressed with everything about the hotel -great service -lovely friendly stall -spotless and the best breakfast range weve ever had .This hotel is perfect for a short stay only 15 minute walk from the train station -ideal for every need -tourism -food -shopping and travel.the rooms are a good size very clean and tidy.cant fault this hotel in any way.

Ok for the money the room was ok. It was warm and the bathroom was clean and tidy. Free wifi that is good. But bedroom was at front of hotel and was very noisy due to the busy traffic outside and trams. Breakfast was very pricey at 18 euros and to be honest I couldn't eat much if it due to being gluten and dairy free so had very little for that hefty price. It's also a bit of a walk from the main train station there.
