I was visiting Wernerwerk and this hotel across the road was perfect. Comfortable bed, good bar, excellent breakfast. Even the metro stop next to the hotel. What else business traveler need from a hotel!
A plate with 4 starts at the hotel front is ridiculous. Hotel does require asap refurbishment. You enter to a smelly room, with many spots on carpet, in the bathroom which is full of plastic. On the top of it you have an empty fridge. You can buy your soda at the reception and take it in to the room - thats the advice you get from a reception. Definitely not worth money to quality .
Great breakfast good service at the check in desk. Very friendly staff. Compared to price I found the room very small. Drainage did did not work in the shower and it was only ok clean. Internet was extremely slow. No water in pool even though it was the height of summer. A lot of noise from neighbour sin the room. An ok experience mainly due to the staff.
Our trip to Berlin started with this amazing hotel. Thank everyone who made our stay so comfortable. The room was amazing, very clean with a huge bathroom and a balcony. The restaurant of this hotel offers the most delicious meals I've ever tasted. The staff is very friendly. Everything is extremely enjoyable. Thanks a lot The only thing we didn't like was the tobacco smell literally everywhere in the hotel. Maybe it was smokers friendly , we didn't ask :)
A great option if you don't want to overpay for a hotel inside the airport. The taxi costs about 10-15 Euro, but price per night is much lower that in the airport hotel. A good, solid 4* as expected from Mercure. Small but comfortable bath, TV with many channels. Clean. Friendly stuff.
Absolutely loved it, nothing was too much trouble for a lady at reception. Clean and tidy rooms, good atmosphere and public transport routes just around a corner. Free car parking on the street. There was a fridge in the room to store all the food we wanted. Beds were really comfortable and staff also put an extra bed in the room for my child even though we didn't even expect that. Overall a great place were to stay. Would definitely recommend!
I was in Berlin for 3 weeks for work and picked this hotel based on its proximity to the office. This was the greatest benefit for me. If you are traveling for sightseeing, this is not a good location and requires longer travel on the U-bahn to get back to the hotel. Since work paid, the price didn't bother me, but I agree for the location the price does look high. I personally didn't like that there was no gym or place to work-out since I was there for an extended period. The wifi in the room was free, but very slow. Sometimes so slow I could not Facetime home to talk to my family. The biggest thing that bothered me was how they handled an accident I had with their hair dryer. They had older bathrooms and I was told they were in the process of renovating them, but the particular room I was in had an older hair dryer. As I was using it one morning and about to put it away, the cord pinched near the handle and shorted out causing an arc flash and knocked out all the electricity. I immediately felt a stinging on my wrist and had to go to the window to get light to see that the arc created from the electrical short burned my wrist. I had to get dressed in the dark and make my way down to the front desk to explain the problem. It was around 6am so there was only one lady at the desk and she apologized and just gave me a bandage that was too small. I understand this was a complete accident, but it was caused by old hotel equipment and could have been much worse if it happened near my face. I also will now have a scar on my wrist and had to go buy medical supplies for larger wraps and bandages on my own. I was moved to a different room with a new hair dryer and the room was also an "upgrade" since it was bigger. I just feel that the apology and room change was not enough. If this happened in the U.S. they would have at least given a free night or hotel points to try and make up for. I felt the apology was not enough. I'd only use this hotel if the location is good for you. There are way better options in Berlin.
Traveling on business, fully understood it is a busy period, booked and confirmed with the Privilege Room, was given the single room lowest category of the hotel, without any explanation or information, only being confronted with the front desk ladies.... was told all Privilege Room were sold, so what good is the confirmation..... even they were willing to reduce the rate, it is not the point as was ready to pay that rate.... they eventually offered me a double room, a better room and agreed to reduce the rate as would settle with it..... guessed what... yes, only the first night and took me some time before I have the rate being adjusted before my departure..... looks like they are good in taking advantage of their customers to make more revenue.... is that fair to the clients or guests or consumers?????
The hotel is located just few minutes from Tegel and has a U stop just 1 minute from the hotel. That means good comunication. Hotel is Mercure standard. No surprises. The reception and in general all the staff are really kind and williing to help.
Dated, almost "Etap" feeling rooms. Very basic tea/coffee facilities in room (paper cups, powdered creamer, no spoons or stirring utensils). Less-than-diplomatic member of staff on the front desk checking us in. Vehemently telling me I was wrong, I hadn't booked the room type or included breakfast that I thought. Turned out that I was right and it was a mistake on their system. That's totally forgivable, and he became polite once he realized, but the initial attitude was not good at all. Re-training needed.
