I have nothing to add to earlier reviews. Great location. Good service. Complaints are poor internet and no facilities to make tea or coffee. But these are relatively minor issues and are more than compensated by the positives. I would stay again and I would recommend it. And did I mention the price - great value

The Hotel is perfect for a visit to Berlin with nice large rooms a reward steps away from the Friedrichstrasse station the Museums Insel and other cultural sites. Can't beat it!

Location was spot-on. Easy to walk to museum island and Unter the Linden. The train station was very close. Get a Berlin Pass for all the transportation needs. Room was spotless and the desk assistants were very friendly and knowledgeable. The breakfast bonanza was over-the-top with multiple selections of everything. Each item had a name so one didn't need to ask what it was.

I was sad that we had not gone back to Berlin a day earlier so we could have two nights in this beautiful, pleasant, friendly hotel. The staff was extremely helpful - getting taxi's, directions to events, etc. It will be our first choice the next time we fly into Germany! it was recommended to us by friends who had stayed their on their recent trip to Berlin.

This hotel is very good location , close everywhere , service is good also.

Hotel Melia is a great value in Berlin. The location is convenient, the breakfast is delicious and there is public transportation steps away. Though a tourist area, it is worth staying in this location given the value and convenience.

We stayed for six days. The location is perfect for tourists. The concierge was very kind and helpful. Very Good breakfast and service. Not to good towels in the bathroom.

Good central location. Nice rooms. Gym needs to be fixed up a bit. Good for a quick stay in Berlin.

The Hotel Melia Berlin, a 4 star hotel of the Spanish Melia hotel chain, is an excellent choice for the tourist visiting Berlin. Constructed in 2006, this hotel is located within easy walking distance of the major landmarks and less than 100 yards from the Friedrichstasse Bahnhof (a major Berlin transportation hub). The rooms are both comfortable and attractively decorated with spacious, well lit bathrooms. We chose a package with breakfast included - and enjoyed a buffet that catered to every taste and culture - the Melia breakfast often carried us through the day and into the evening without lunch. The staff, from the concierge to the front desk to the maids could not have been better, they responded to our every request instantly and professionally. Rooms are sound proof to the extent that we never heard traffic noise, yet our room was on the third floor overlooking the street. Our only negative experience was firm beds and European (German) bed linens which we found to overly warm.

This hotel is a great location; 10-15 minute walk to major sights light Checkpoint Charlie and Brandenburg Gate. The train station is just down the street. It is easy to take a cab to from the airport for around $20-30 (depending on traffic). The room was very spacious and comfortable for 2 people. The bathroom was very clean. The staff made sure to keep it well stocked with toiletries, towels, etc. The one negative is that the hotel does not provide free WiFi. They charge around $6 per 24 hour period for unlimited WiFi.

Location was awesome! Ask for a room in the back of the hotel so that there is no noise from the street. Brunch was AWESOME! Pay for it up front to save some money. There is no free Wi-fi currently (until March). The check-in agent did not tell us that if we signed up for the hotel loyalty program that we would get free wi-fi in our room, the concierge did (2nd day). Great French bistro in Nikolai Quarter- Le Provencal Restaurant was nice. Bring some walking shoes. Do not take your photo with the bear at the Brandenburg Tur. All of them want money if you take your picture with them. Scam! Restaurant called Pan Asia, pretty close to the hotel (cab) Rosenthaler Straße 38, was good. Set off the main road and cab stand is right outside when its time to come home. Cab ride to airport (TXL- Tegel), cost us 20 Euro. Worth it at 6 AM!

I´ve stayied for the New Year comemorations. Very well located Hotel with efficient Services. It was a good choice.

Perfect location for food, sights etc. Great breakfast,.wonderful staff.

This hotel is qiute nice overall. Personnel very friendly and helpful Hotel is very nice, good looks, excellent location. Romms are excellent.

Great location, Great rooms, Great Service The hotel is near everything you want to see. the rooms are modern and clean. The staff was professional and they have the best breakfast in Germany for 15 Euro per day.

Great location near, walking distance to tourist attractions. No wifi however

The Melia Hotel made our trip to Berlin worthwhile. My wife and I more than enjoyed the friendly staff, the top-notch restaurant, and the perfect location. Nearly every site on our to-see list was within walking distance. Do yourself a favor, if you're traveling to Berlin, book a room at Hotel Melia.

This is a great hotel that truly resembles a 4-5 star hotel. The location is Ideal as it is truly within walking distance of a lot of Berlin's tourist sites and is also very close to public transportation. The staff is very friendly and tends to speak several languages to accommodate their customers. The rooms are spacious and the hotel is several options for eating within 2 blocks. All that being said I was charged a significant price for Breakfast/Wi-Fi/Parking, it felt very demeaning and not what I would expect from such a quality hotel, I would recommend they just include this in their normal charge as most 4-5 star hotels already do.

Perfect location. Close walk to Reichstag and other attractions. Very modern and clean hotel, and restaurants in the hotel is fantastic and reasonably priced (I'm from NYC and I find food there much cheaper).

My first time in Germany and decided to choose this Hotel due to its location. Room was a bit pricey but well worth it. The train station is literally across the street. Room was clean and luxurious. Also has a nice view of the shopping street.
