Booked this hotel after reading on the main page of the hotels website that it is ‘Your hotel at Kurfürstendamm, right in the heart of Berlin’, and, ‘it is centrally located’, and ‘Your trade fair hotel in the center of the German capital’. Utter misleading nonsense. Anyone visiting Berlin for the first time upon reading this would think the hotel is bang in the centre of Berlin when in fact, as I now know, THE HOTEL IS 6.8KM AWAY FROM BERLIN’S CENTRAL STATION. According to google maps it’ll take you 1h 15 mins to walk to Berlin’s CENTRAL station & 29 mins to get there by public transport. The hotel claiming it is centrally located in the heart of Berlin is utter misleading nonsense causing us to book the hotel on a non refundable rate. Why wouldn’t we, the hotel claim it is centrally located in the heart of Berlin which is where we needed to stay. When I politely asked for a refund so I could book elsewhere in the CENTRE of Berlin, which I now know to be MITTE, when actually means ‘middle’ or ‘centre’ in German, the hotel refused to refund me anything saying the rate is non refundable. We are now having to claim via the credit card company as the hotel couldn’t care less. Anyone who’s never been to Berlin doesn’t look on a map where Kurfürstendamm is before they book, they don’t need to if in the same sentence and on the same main web page of the hotels own website it also says that the hotel is centrally located in the heart of Berlin when in FACT it is located 6.8km away in the WEST of Berlin. Upon further reading on TripAdvisor, TripAdvisor itself describes MITTE ‘as the heart of Berlin’. It is disgraceful that the management of this hotel are misleading new customers in this way and then point blank refusing to refund them 2 months before they’re due to arrive. I’ve now booked a nh hotel in the heart of Berlin in Mitte. No taxis needed, no public transport needed, that hotel is in the heart of Berlin,THE CENTRE of Berlin which the nh hotel correctly advertises.
Recently stayed at Louisa’s place Monday to Friday to visit the Berlin xmas markets etc. Our suite was lovely and had everything we needed, the shower was amazing!! The staff were really helpful on our arrival and gave us a map and showed us the areas we said we wanted to visit. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it to other people.
We choose Louisa's for a 5 night stay because we wanted a kitchen and we booked a "Junior Suite." Much to our surprise the suite was very large extending from the Kurfuerstenamm side of the hotel to an interior courtyard. Large sitting room with sofa, chairs, desk, tv and dining table that seats 4. The bedroom faced the courtyard, which resulted in zero noise, plus a large window that opened. The kitchen, as does the rest of the building, appears to be brand new with up-to-date appliances including a dishwasher (only thing missing is a microwave and perhaps a larger selection of cookware). The basement of the hotel has a swimming pool, sauna and exercise equipment. For 26 euros an excellent breakfast is available. Room service is offered from the 4 star restaurant next door, Balthazar. Great location with both S-bahn and U-bahn nearby. In summary, we will stay at Louisa's on our next visit.
We had a superior suite which was great value as we had a lovely living room plus well equipped kitchen which meant we could have coffee and croissant in our room for breakfast and a cold beer after sightseeing. Everything was very comfortable including bed and sofa. The hotel is in a good location for shopping and very close to the metro for all sightseeing. Staff all very friendly and helpful.
Louisa's Place is an excellent all-suite hotel with an personable and helpful staff. Suites are spacious with separate living/dining room, and complete kitchen...modern and very comfortable. Located in a lovely residential neighbourhood, only 3 bus stops from the high end shopping stores, or a nice walk. The only downside is its location which is some distance from the centre of Berlin and its many tourist sites. Taxis or public transport are about 30 minutes away in normal traffic.
My wife and I spent two great nights at Louisas place and would fully recommend. Our room was right at the top and was huge. It was really clean and full of amazing furniture. The street is quiet and full of high end shops. Oh, and the hotel staff are lovely too.
Great place with huge suites ( 15 ft ceilings) . Very quiet. Lots of charm. Staff are amazing. But although comfortable, it feels like your grandmother ' s flat with dated furniture. Kitchen is nice , but very poorly stocked ( it has an oven but no pot to bake/ roast n and no oven mitts). And, although we stayed 6 nights we were supplied coffee for onw night - we had to buy extra for the rest of our stay. So, overall, a fine place, but if you want to actually live in the apartment for a week or so, you will find some aspects challenging.
We had such a pleasant stay. We can't rave enough about Louisa's Place. We definitely will come back and stay again, hopefully for a longer period of time. The entire hotel, it's entrance, the foyer, the elevators, the staircases and the hallways were kept very clean. The rooms are as tidy and spotless. There is nothing we thought we had missed. Everything and more was available. The gesture of a handwritten welcome letter along with a bottle of sparkling water and chocolates show how this hotel operates. The staff at the reception was super friendly, always ready to answer questions and very helpful. We were given excellent choices of restaurants in the direct vicinity and how to get there. Extra services were offered to us but unfortunately we couldn't take advantage of those due to the fact that our stay was just too short. We highly recommend Louis'a Place to everyone who needs a suggestion where to stay in Berlin. The location of the hotel is also very convenient because the closest U-Bahn station is located right by the hotel and with using the public transportation system you can discover entire the entire City of Berlin.
We truly enjoyed our stay at Louisa's Place. First off, our room was literally a full-sized one bedroom apartment. Perfect for a family or for a couple. The room was immaculate and fully equipped. We had a wonderful view of the street, the famous Kurfurstendamm, but the traffic noise was minimal. Staff was always friendly and very helpful. It seemed as if every one of them spoke better English than I do. Nice neighborhood and well located within a block of the underground station. We will return to Berlin one day and stay at Louisa's place again.
Very pleasantly surprised with this renovated hotel. Mini suite with tall ceilings And great insulation so I was never Bothered by street traffic noise. Very grateful for attention and friendliness of Sabrina in the front desk . Can't say the other ladies on different shifts were as welcoming and helpful but ok . Good location and surrounded by good places to eat at. We had a large car, their parking garage was challenging .
