Awesome breakfast!! One of my fav during our trip in Europe. Clean room, water heater teas and coffee available. Good location. Good quality of sleep. The only downside thing is we have to go to reception everytime we want to drive out to validate our parking ticket. Its not very ideal. We gotta que in everytime, sometimes takes very very long just for a parking ticket. Maybe charged guest once during check in? The parking is limited so better park your car before 9pm or you wont get any space.
A comfortable and well-run hotel within walking distance of Alexanderplatz. In fact, we walked all the way from the Brandenburg Gate through the heart of Berlin to the Leonardo Hotel (it was a nice day and this is a great way to see the heart of Berlin).
We stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel is spotlessly clean. The staff speak good English. They are very courteous and helpful. The tram station is just nearby from where you can go to Alexzanderplatz and other places. The room was big enough. The area around is a quiet one. There are a few shops across. I really loved my stay at the hotel.
Hotel located on a main road out of town 15 mins ward from Alexanderplatz station. We took train from airport direct to station, run twice an hour & takes @ 20 mins. Purchase from machines which have English Instructions on wall plus look out for guy in red who is there to help out, then put in adjacent red machine to activate. We had booked 3 nights room only as breakfast too expensive. Hotel reception very busy & staff were trying to persuade guests to relocate for that night to 4* sister hotel with offer of paying taxi, we refused as much further out. Had they offered €100 or free breakfasts we might have considered offer. Our room was at back of hotel & very quiet. Room & bathroom all good, bed very comfortable & TV had UK News channel. Free Wifi was a benefit as not available in all hotels such as a Park Inn & we used it each afternoon & morning. There was an empty mini bar which was good to use as fridge for our snacks & the free bottle of water left in room. Drinks tray included Peppermint tea bags as well as usual tea bags, coffee which was great, but never enough milk sachets. Would recommend as long as you don't mind walk to Alexanderplatz which is a great transport hub with trains, trams, underground & buses, there was a tram stop further up Road from hotel but we did not try it. We did all the main sights all on foot, except we took Rickshaw back from Victory Tower which was well worth it as 'driver' was really informative & stopped a few times to point items of interest out. Reichstag Parliament building was a highlight but you need to book online a few weeks ahead of visit, it is free. Other highlight was trip to Gedenkstaette Stasi Prison if you have a half day to spare. It is out of town but only @ 20 mins ride on tram M5 (buy ticket with coins from machine on tram @ €7 each for day ticket) towards Zingster Str. Get off at Freinenwalde Str (10 stops) turn right then 1st street in left, walk down past Lidl & it is straight ahead at end of road. Open 10-4, you have to join a tour, they run in English every hour or so check up on times on their website. We just turned up & had to wait an hour but there was an extensive exhibition centre to look round plus a cafeteria.
When we arrived we were asked because they were so busy would we move to another for 1 night when we said no it was not an issue. The girl on the desk could not be any more helpful. We only used the hotel as a base so never used the dining area or bar however it looked very nice. We were on the first floor which is ground level to the rear and it was quiet. As people said in other reviews the nearby church bells ring from 8am which made us laugh, we like to be up early to enjoy the day and it was quaint. The tram stop is close to the front door however it only takes 10 minutes to walk to Alexanderplatz. There is a shop just next to the tram stop which was nice to sit outside and have a beer and watch the world go by. The only issue we had with the weather being so hot that our bedding wasn't changed during the 4 night stay. If we return to Berlin we will definitely stay here again, I had taken some photos however they do not do justice to the hotel, the website photos are close enough.
I started to worry as the cab driver continued to drive away from Alexanderplatz toward the hotel, but I shouldn't have. The walk from the hotel to the bustling base of the famous Berlin TV tower is only about fifteen minutes or so (google maps says .7 of a km). From Alexanderplatz, Berlin is your oyster with their excellent system of U and S bahns supplemented by the street cars. The entry way is bright and cheery, the staff friendly and helpful, and the room quite large by European standards. Our room was equipped with a large and comfortable shower, but no bath, so if that's important to you, you should ask first. Berlin's great restaurants and serving sizes meant we were never hungry for breakfast, but there is one on offer. WiFi was easy to access and pretty fast and stable.
Our company chose this hotel for the Annual Meeting. Many colleagues from around the world stayed at the hotel, for 3 nights or even longer. I stayed 2 days. The hotel provided us everything: breakfast, lunch and evening dinners. Enough variety in good food, but of course that is everyone's personal opinion. Besides that, the hotel contains business meeting rooms in different sizes which can hold up 300 people easily. And last but not least, the rooms. For myself I had a small room, but did not hear any "neighbor sounds", great bed, warm shower and all was clean.
Loved the hotel! My second stay there, will most definitely be there again, friendly staff, good rooms with nice beds, upgraded my room and got a complimentary water and fruits, which was very nice. Hope to be there again soon
My Dad and I stayed here for three nights in June and had a great stay. We had two single rooms, which were very comfortable and well equipped- the bed deserves a special mention! The hotel itself is well located, a 10 minute walk from Alexanderplatz, or a minute from a tram stop. The breakfast buffet was magnificent, with a large choice of hot/cold food and drinks. The staff added friendliness to a reasonably large hotel and were all extremely helpful and nice. Would definitely return!
This was our third visit and as usual an excellent choice of hotel, a fifteen minute walk from the centre, depending how fast you walk. Should we return to Berlin in the future for the Christmas Markets this would be the only hotel we would stay at.
