Really clean, lovely big room, very friendly and efficient service. Would stay again.the staff were attentive and committed to making your stay enjoyable. Great breakfast and really excellent though quiet location near to a tram stop or walkable to Alexanderplatz
Disappointing start to our short break. Despite having booked in March for a June stay - and having paid in full - on arrival we were informed that the hotel was overbooked. Tired and hungry after our travels we were asked to relocate to a sister hotel. Apparently this was a 25 min car journey in a completely different part of Berlin and not central. After a bit of a fight and refusing to relocate as we had booked this hotel for its location, we were offered a free upgrade to a junior suite. Despite the difficult start we had a good stay. Room very spacious and well equipped - Nespresso machine a great added bonus. Clean and air conditioned. Good location. Easy walk to Alexanderplatz and transport. Our room was right next to the church, despite being a very light sleeper church bells were not a problem! Only heard them Sunday morning - as would be expected.
I stayed here with my boyfriend for 5 nights in June 2017. The staff are very friendly and have great English, the breakfast choices were great and the location of the hotel is also a big plus with the tram nearby and U-bahn at Alexanderplatz. We found that the hotel location was a great base for travelling to other parts of Berlin. Would also recommend the nearby Mauerpark for Sunday karaoke and beers! Our own gripe was the beds were very soft and took some getting used to but other than that, we couldn't fault this hotel. Great value for money.
A very nice, discreet jotel, close to Alexanderplatz, good transports, a supermarket, gardensa and monuments. Very clean, practical and just what you need for a city break away from the center confusion.
Stayed at the hotel for a work conference, so we used the rooms, restaurant and conference facilities. The rooms are basic but nice, I wish they offered milk though rather than or as well as coffee creamer but that is a small niggle. The rooms are standard size, very clean and beds are comfy. The food offered at lunch was a lovely and varied selection, nothing was labelled for allergens but there was a good selection of fresh salad, fish and cheese so I didn't worry. The conference facilities are great, coffees and snacks were always readily available and the conference room we had was very spacious. The staff are very friendly, speak great English and coped very well checking in such a large group. It's also very handy being so close to the M4 tram which makes getting around very easy.
After a very stressful day, I went to check in at Leonardo Hotel Royal only to find that I had booked a room in a different Leonardo Hotel in Berlin!! Thankfully, the receptionist was incredibly understanding, helped me to cancel the other room (the instructions were in German) and book a room in this hotel. She was brilliant (unfortunately I have forgotten her name). The room itself was gorgeous, very spacious and the air conditioning was a Godsend. The bathroom was brilliant with the best shower and water pressure I've had in any hotel. The bar food was decent (though a little slow to arrive) and there were two for one cocktails as it was happy hour. The hotel is walking distance from the transport systems located in Alexanderplatz so it is ideal as a base to travel around Berlin. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was that I booked a late checkout which was pretty expensive and the length of time waiting to be served in the bar area. Overall, it's a fabulous hotel and I definitely would stay again.
As part of a bigger group we stayed in April 2017. Normal rooms are small in size, but practical, modern and clean. With room facing the back, it was a quiet room and surprisingly little noise from rooms on both sides. Breakfast buffet with plentiful and good options.
Great hotel, value for money, great location. Easy access to the train station and trams. Quality facilities and spacious rooms. Would recommend this hotel and it is in the top 2 or 3 of best hotels in Alexanderplatz.
Really clean and plush hotel in a great location. Ordered taxis every day and they came within 4 minutes, plus situated on a bus and tram route. Staff were friendly (enough) however breakfast was a let down: no beans, bacon was hard as hell and no fresh juice. Cold cuts, fruit and breads were good. Would come again 🎉🎉🎉
Stayed here for 4 nights for the Berlin carnival the hotel is in a good location. Very accessible and close to public transport. Breakfast was good with very large selections every morning. The cleaning staff are extremely slow and not up to standard which is the main complaint. The staff on a whole were very nice.
