Great location. It was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. Great amenities. There are many places to eat nearby and a multitude of choice for transportation right outside your door. Nothing bad to say!
Stayed a week here and thoroughly enjoyed both the reasonably priced hotel and its location. So many restaurants nearby and just 15 minutes from Alexanderplatz. Very clean and comfortable room and hotel. Thank you!
Stayed one night at this hotel and got a small room. The hotel is quite big, located in an old uncharming building. There is no interesting places nearby and bars and restaurants are difficult to find in the neighbourhood. Average breakfast.
We picked this hotel for its nearness to our family in Berlin, but it was half-term week in both the UK and most of Germany, so prices were at a premium. We didn't expect any kind of value, and we certainly didn't get it. Our very small room overlooked the car park at the back of the hotel, a long walk from the lifts. There was no porterage on offer when we arrived, and none when we left. We had booked room-only but breakfast was available at an extra 20€ per person per day! Judging by the empty dining room we passed most mornings, there weren't many taking up this offer. The room was clean and the Bedding and towels changed as requested. Otherwise an impersonal and lacklustre stay. The Malvinas steak house next door was a warm and quite jolly place to eat, especially on a cold autumn evening. And there some great little cafes all around, happy to serve great breakfasts at a fraction of these prices!
1. hige service awerness 2. completely clean 3. heterogeneous breakfest 4. excellent location ( 12 min walk from alexanderplatz ) 5. public transportation available ( tram M4 line / bus 200 line ) 6. 2 big supermarkets ( "ALDI" / "ADEKE" ) in 5 min walk 7. what more do you need ?...
The hotel is walking distance (10-15minutes) from Alexanderplatz. The staff at reception is very friendly and rooms are spacious with great appliances. Loved staying here and would recommend it for its closeness to Alexanderplatz.
Located about 1km ( 10 minute ) walk to Alexanderplatz. Spacious rooms. Ample breakfast. Excellent gym with treadmills weights and elliptical, My sole critique is that the Lobby tends to be rather busy.
We booked this place because of stated location ( Alexanderplatz) and the fact that it was one of the very few where we could reserve two beds . Our first disappointment was when we arrived we learned it was several blocks from Alexanderplatz. The foyer was not great . Very sparse . But the staff was very nice and helpful . The room itself was quite nice and it turned out to be very comfortable. Lots of outlets for charging devices . Comfortable beds . Good shower . Good wifi . Housekeeping was reliable and non-intrusive . The price we got when we phoned direct was very reasonable ( maybe because of the location ) .. The breakfast was reasonably priced ( 13 Euro p.d. ) and very good .
Imagine our disappointment when arriving to be told the hotel was overbooked and would we mind staying at their sister hotel for out first night in Berlin not the start we expected.Having arranged our transfer slightly more than the 15 mins away suggested we were pleasantly surprised by the suite. On our return the following day we were allocated a lovely room that was well proportioned with a comfortable bed complimentary water and having a fridge helps, the hotel also made amends by leaving a bottle of wine and a lovely cake as a birthday gift for me.The rest of our stay was very comfortable breakfast was plentiful and the staff very helpful.Great location for visiting the sights Stunning park almost next to the hotel
Having arrived at 0100 hours check in was smooth and hassle free. Our room was located on the second floor overlooking a beautiful church (the bell ringing wasn't an issue as some people make out.). The room was big enough and clean, the complementary bottle of water was a nice touch as was the bath gel, shampoo and body lotion. The room was spotless and well equipped with a fridge, Tv, safe, desk and tea and coffee facilities. We didn't opt for breakfast which wasn't an issue as there is plenty of cafes nearby. The hotel is well served by public transport the M4 tram and 200 bus stop just a few yards from the hotel. The spa and gym on the top floor are well equipped and provide excellent views of Berlin. It's worthwhile popping up with your camera just to get a few pictures. I would thoroughly recommend the Leonardo Royal Hotel Berlin and look forward to visiting again in the near future.
