Visited this hotel for a one night stay in October 2017. The hotel is just off Kurfürstendamm outside of the city in Berlin. The hotel is located on the fourth floor of a very dated building and can be accessed by lift. The lights on the staircase don't come on in the evening and I would avoid using them at all if possible. In order to enter the reception you need to press the buzzer, a member of the reception team will then let you in. However, there are no staff on site during the evening. Although some staff are friendly, others are reluctant to speak to guests. On arrival you are issued with a key which opens the corridor to the guest rooms. The décor and layout of the floor is very dated. During my stay there was a strong smell of bleach on the corridor at all times. Some of the plug sockets in the room did not work during my stay and the curtains did not cover the whole of the window when I closed them in the evening. No soap is provided for the shower and I had to use hand soap instead! A breakfast was included in the price of the room and although the selection was basic the quality of the food was good.

Berlin guest house located on the fourth floor of an old but well preserved building. Outside the area is nice and well served. Poor hospitality and cleaness, very rude staff, large and neglected family room, noisy and unclean chemical bath. Be careful to verify everything at the check in, and report the issues right away! If you incur in structural malfunctions (chemical toilet) : you may be asked to pay the recovery cost without being responsable!

This hotel is the wierdest I have been to. Hostels are better than this. Two large appartments separated with a hall on the 4th floor. You can't get in the other part if you don't have the key and part with one room across the reception can be entered always. Staff completely rude, especially old lady, very unhelpful. 4 people on a international conference in one room who don't know each other have only one key!!! Impossible to manage that, while receptionist doesn't care. They also don't consider that rooms should be cleaned every day but you need to post a sign on the door to get towels. Trash exist only in bathroom which is also emptied only when asked. Horrible for this kind of situation.

It's a budget hotel, so don't expect anything out of the ordinary. However, the room was bigger than I expected. Overall the hotel was clean and tidy, and the location is convenient. The staff was very nice and

Quaint, friendly. Amazing breakfast buffet. Hotel is located in an older building and has beautiful windows. There is an elevator, out room had a nice balcony with a table and we enjoyed a couple of take out dinners there. Shower / bathroom was small but clean and modern with good water pressure.

Just there for a week and I felt like my room was not big enough at all ( a version of student room ), the facility was not convenient at all especially fighting for having the wifi connection. The staff hospitality skills is near of zero, for making money they are ready to help but when I asked for an iron or for laundry service they wasn't able to help at all. Really weird atmosphere is like you must thanks them to welcome you in them hotel !

Appalling so-called hotel. Basically, just one 4th floor apartment split into inadequate rooms. Dingy and grim. Old -fashioned would be an exaggeration. Certainly old, but it was never fashioned. Unfortunately paid in advance so no opportunity to cancel. Don't go! No chair in room. No mirror. No drawers anywhere! Bring your own toiletries. On plus side, breakfast OK, bed comfy and clean though don't know when I can expect clean sheets and towels - only been there 4 nights so far!

This place was awful, have stayed in better hostels. Booking.com take the money as soon as you book so beware as its non-refundable. When I walked into foyer I could have cried because it was so dirty, you then have to take lift to 4th floor, the place is a dump needs a complete overhaul don't know how they can call it a hotel, the corridors are dark with mustard woodchip and the room was not very clean, but have to say the beds were, the balcony was a health and safety issue as the pole came out of the wall. Don't now when hotel put photographs up, but definitely not like that in real life.

Pension Rheingold is good situated close to Adenauerplatz with Metro connection. Some good restaurants are close. There are not enough seats for the good breakfast when it's fullhouse. Unfortunately you have to pay to leave your lugage there after check-out. Rather sad story !

If you need a hotel to sleep and nothing else and you are not that demanding, this will suit you. Prices are low, so you can't expect a lot. The room was small but clean. Shower was good. Breakfast was simple but good. Only negative for me was that the curtains couldn't close very well, so in the morning it's bright. But as mentioned, the price for a room is low. It's on a 2min walk from a metrostation (U-bahn) at a quite street.
