We took a room from this hotel because we could take our dogs with us. Room was nice and renovated. Breakfast was good. I didnt like our bed, it was uncomfy. Blankets ans pillows werent in a good shape. They should change those. There was no minibar/fridge. Hotel is too far from the city. It takes 30 minutes to the center of Berlin with public transport.
I was looking for an inexpensive hotel with good connections to public transport and this hotel turned out to be just that place. The room was nice with a comfortable bed, it had an efficient bathroom, windows that opened and the receptionists were very friendly and helpful
Staff are Friendly, the room was clean and the beds comfy. It is a bit further out from the main attractions but the Berlin transport system is very good. The tram lines were beimg worked on when we visited but the bus was regular and dropped us off right at the underground. Then it was just a few minutes ride to where ever you want to go. The underground is easy to follow and gets you everywhere. Much cheaper than the more central hotels and there's a cheap supermarket right opposite. Would stay here again
Myself and my sister stopped at Hotel Pankow for three nights in August. For the price, I think this was a really good value for money option. Though not in central Berlin, the location is still very handy for travel. The tram stop is literally outside the hotel and one short tram ride (number 50) which runs every 10 mins will get you to Pankow where you can travel to main attractions, e.g. Alexanderplatz within half an hour. We found ourselves arriving earlier than expected, hoping we could just drop our luggage off as we were too early for check in. However, the staff were extremely helpful and spoke very good English and said we could check in early as our room was already ready. They also offered to assist me connect to the (free) wifi and asked if we would like to buy breakfast - although we declined this as we prefer to eat out. The room was basic (expected for the price) but was spotlessly clean, with all necessities such as hairdryer, television etc. All in all, I was impressed for the price and would say it is a good option if you are coming to Berlin to explore and just want a basic but clean room.
We stayed there for 4 nights, and the room was fine for just staying the night. We got a room with 2 single beds and just pushed them together, and we slept fine. It was a small room, with a very small bathroom, but both contained what was necessary and expected (though we expected the beds to be together). The hotel lies right next to a Tram stop and in 30 minutes, we would be at Alexanderplatz with just 1 change. Both the U-Bahn and the Tram go in 10 min intervals most of the day, and late at night every 20 minutes.
Hotel is quite far from all. Tram is just in front but... Room with no frills, just WiFi but free for one day only. No diner (private party) for guest. Closest restaurant at 30min walking. Breakfast cost 8 euro each. No airport shuttle (was in the offer). Receptionist doesn't speak English and to ask a taxi was not easy.
The hotel is not that clean. The floor could look better and the towels do no look like they have been properly washed. None of the telephones work, not even to call reception. Leaving luggages there before check in could be a problem since they dont have a room and they end up being in the middle of the corridor next to the reception. Bright side, the rooms are not small and the reception is 24/7
We stayed in this hotel for a week in total and apart from the internet going down on one of the nights - we had no issues at all. The hotel is placed in a quiet location in Pankow, slightly outside of the city centre but with public transport very near by. The tram stops right outside of the hotel and can take you into the city centre, as well as a S-Bahn station which is a 10-15 minute walk away. The bar and reception are open 24/7 which is useful and the staff are very friendly and seem happy to help. There is a large supermarket (REWE) directly across the street which comes in handy throughout the day. However, you can order food (pizza, burgers etc) behind the bar until 10pm. The room was nice with a small chest of drawers and a desk which was brilliant for us as my partner and I both do a lot of work on the computer. The bathroom was small but had everything we needed and we found the bed to be very comfortable. Some reviews do mention that the wifi costs money but this has now changed and is completely free of charge. I would recommend staying in Hotel Pankow as long as you don't mind traveling into the city centre and aren't expecting 5 star facilities.
This is a good hotel a little out of the city but easily accessible via tram 50 which stops right outside the hotel. The bed sheets were not the best in the world, but the place was comfortable, basic and does what it says on the tin, it's a hotel and Berlin is not a city you want to lie in the hotel all day
A basic but really clean hotel. All the staff were friendly and helpful. A bit of a journey out of the city. Berlins transport system is quite complicated. Especially, if you're hungover or drunk or both. I would recommend this hotel as long as your prepared for the 20 minute travel.
