The Hotel Palace Berlin is ideally situated in the heart of the shopping area of Berlin, facing the Tiergarten Zoo of Berlin. A building of 9 floors, wtih large rooms, nice bathrooms, furnished in a modern and comfortable style. The bathroom amenities are by the White Company and hotel service is good for this type of hotel. Comfortable bed. The breakfast buffet offers a range of cold cuts (in particular those German sausages) hams, smoked salmon, herrings, mackerel, a large choice of cheeses, and traditional scrambled eggs, bacon, beans, etc... pastries, different birchermuesli and yogurts with fresh fruits salads. Fresh orange juices, apple juice, mutli vitamin. Depending on the level of room chosen, guests may have access to the 7th floor lounge where breakfast, lunch, tea and light dinner is served. Staff is professional and helpful. Good price to quality ratio.
shame there was an extra charge to use the sauna. had to ask for extra coffee. had requested use of a coffee machine and learnt there was only 1 available for the hotel. very spacious room. lovely bathroom.
My family and I frequent Berlin often and every time we stay at Hotel Palace. It is a fantastic hotel with wonderful, kind, accommodating staff who do their best to make sure you have a pleasant stay. Their friendliness really adds to the experience. In addition, the rooms are wonderful - the bed is perhaps the comfiest bed I have ever slept in! Additionally, the breakfast is incredible and cannot be faulted. I am incredibly fond of this marvellous hotel and will carry on staying here for whenever I visit Berlin. It always feels like I am returning home!
I usually stay at Hotel Palace when I am visiting Berlin. The hotel have high standard and very good service. It is close to KaDeWe, the Gallery Street Fasanenstrasse and Zoo. . I will definitely return next time I visit Berlin.
They do have a Panda Suite, and real Pandas right across. The pool is good, the water-jet a great under-water massage, the sauna is very good, and empty. Unfortunately, their top-feature "EIS-GROTTE", a ice-cold snow room was broken, and there is no Hammam/Steam, just a luke-warm second Sauna, rather useless. During summer their outside balcony is pleasant, foods served. The Gin-Bar is still closed and out-of-business, since some water damage, and the construction outside the lobby bothers the Xmas season, but, I guess, the 1. Floor gets a new restaurant (the old was closed a while back for lack of traffic), and they try to attract folks from outside, who are shy about walking through a Hotel Lobby. Check first that the Hotel is not running a convention before you book, Conventions are very bothersome and degrade the place, name-tagged-guests are just so uncool. Bon Dia breakfast is very good, if they haven't run out of "Spreewald-Gurken" or Teewurst. The choices are many and show Russians like to eat here. Their team is - at times - a bit confused, also because rotating duties prevent staff from perfecting any single task. I will come back!
Had a 3 day break at this fantastic hotel, staff very polite and very helpful, nothing seemed too much bother, the hotel was in the heart of Alexanderplatz which was so good for the Christmas markets, museums and of course shopping, the transport system was just feet away, a most enjoyable stay.
The hotel is centrally loacated, great staff, room was big clean and comfortable. We were next to the Europe shopping center and next to the Christmas market which was nice. The consierege was great in recommending a very good restaurant.
Great room, comfy bed and good working area. Nice bathroom - good amenities. Quite quiet and luxurious. Staff good - very helpful. Good TV. Breakfast was ok - lunch was a little bit underwhelming. Overall good location.
I have stayed many times at the Palace in Berlin. Very good location near the train station and with two good bus lines nearby. The check-in was friendly, the concierge very efficient, the room big and with all the necessary amenities. Will be back in April.
Stayed 3 nights at end of Nov 2017 for work. It is right across the street from the Zoo and Christmas market. The Zoo train station is 3'minutes walk. The breakfast buffet was well serviced and the staff was attentive. The same to be said for the lobby bar. Would definitely stay here again.
