Love the concept and its services and accommodation. Minor downsides are the elevator that stops between floors making luggages carrying inconvenient and wi-fi quality is quite unstable. Anything else, superb!
Very friendly early check-in. The Berlin Marathon and connected road closures, especially on my departure date made life a bit difficult. The reception staff was most helpful with giving tips for alternative routes. The direct express connection, the X9 bus for Euro 2.60 is ideal, as it stops 100 yards from the hotel.
Just back from a wonderful 11-night stay at Hotel OTTO. Highly recommended. Especially good if you want to get out and see Berlin, rather than be impressed by the bells and whistles of a big 5-star hotel. The delicious, abundant, and very reasonably priced breakfast buffet is enough to make lunch unnecessary. The location could not be better: restaurants of all sorts and prices, boutiques, bookstores, theatres, parks nearby. X9 bus to Tegel Airport stops about two blocks away, U-Bahn and S-Bahn stations equally close. Helpful and friendly staff. I look forward to my next stay.
Excellent front office staff. Very helpful. needed a tiny amount of glue to fix a pin... bingo it was made available with a smile. Invited guests for breakfast and was accomodated with a smile. Shall be back.
Well priced and well located. Expensive breakfast but many alternatives in the neighborhood. Near bus (X9) from airport, Ubahn and Sbahn. They have decent bikes for rent which should not be used for the Tour d'France but suffice for toodling around the city.
The room, staff, and location contributed to a positive experience in Berlin.
We wanted to spend no more than $100 USD per night, and we wanted to stay on the west side of Berlin. This met those criteria, and exceeded expectations. We stayed 5 days and enjoyed the afternoon/evening tea and snacks left out for us in the penthouse lounge. My main complaints are that the bed wasn't very comfortable, and the room felt dark/cramped. However, the location near the S and U bahns and KuDamm was ideal. Great eats around there, too.
