Stayed here for three nights with breakfast included. The rooms are modern and comfortable. Nice decor and unusual ornaments. The hotel service though was a let down in all areas. The cleaner left a toilet brush in the loo, didn't clean glasses or leave face cloths. Mini bar was not chilled. Service in restaurant for breakfast was minimal, had to ask for coffee, hot food was not as ordered. Hot food menu was also only offered on Sunday, not on other days. Staff only seemed bothered with clearing away plates and not seeing to customers. I would suggest not bothering with paying for breakfast here. The location is superb though, only 3 mins walk from Berlin Zoological Gardens railway station and Kurfurstendamm shopping area.

Stayed here for the Berlinale and although I knew it to be a budget hotel, was pleasantly surprised at the attention to detail. Found the staff to be friendly and cariocation was excellent as it was neaqr to the main shopping area. All in all, a good hotel at a fair price.

Berlin is one of my absolute favorite cities and I usually always stay in the Ku’damm area. The Indigo hotel is by far my favorite one after this experience. The location is excellent with easy access from airport by bus. Decor is beautiful and modern. Really love the contemporary feel in the rooms. We received great service throughout our stay and the breakfast was great as well. Ticked all the boxes for me. If anything negative, would have wanted more storage for clothes in the room. Now had to keep most of them in the bags.

The location is brilliant - hop on the X9 bus from the airport to the zoo for 2.80 euros and you'll be there in 20 mins. Another 5 mins walk and you are at this hotel. The zoo area has access to the U & S bahn and great bus network - Berlin is brilliant for public transport. Lovely welcome by hotel receptionist, information about nearby restaurants. Weird lift arrangement - one main large one that rarely comes and a more 'discrete' smaller one that comes quickly, but never had to wait long. Reception area clean, tidy and bright with bar available. Standard room was compact but adequate - with bed, footstool/seat, desk/table & chair, minibar/fridge, wardrobe and good bathroom with awful sliding door that means it has no lock and from inside has a one-inch gap so you can watch folks fiddling with their luggage while in there - just needs the door to slide another inch or two but the gap is fortunately away from the main room area so not too bad. Otherwise large walk in shower had overhead and regular shower heads. Toiletries and other amenities were good. There were a few sockets (we always take a power strip) but also sockets on the headboard so you can have your phone close by. Quite good for lighting. Weird decor - big picture of scaffolding and shopping trolley behind the bed, a foot on the windowsill alongside a bottle with something on a stick. Curtains didn't meet in the middle. All that aside it was clean, warm (access to cool or heat on the room thermostat) and a pod coffee machine (that seems to only make a half a cup which is apparently normal). Only one coffee pod and one hot chocolate, one earl grey tea and two raspberry teas but was enough for us (topped up daily). No real complaints, would happily stay here again - though would be nice to have more than one TV channel in English (CNN) but then it was Germany and I could learn German instead. Nice restaurant in the hotel next door (turn left out of the entrance).

Really friendly and approachable staff, nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were very presentable as was the gym and restaurant. Staff serving breakfast were very attentive. Ideal location to transport links for people wanting to explore Berlin.

this property was located near the train station and the bus line which was perfect. room was fantatsic and very nice breakfast buffett. would stay here again. and the bars were down the street from hotel which also very nice.

I had a standard room which was adequate, although small and could have done with more surfaces, e.g for opening a suitcase. The bathroom was well stocked with toiletries and towels, and the shower was effective. I did not take the breakfast as it seemed very expensive and there are many coffee shops and other options nearby at the S-Bahn and U-Bahn stations. There is a coffee machine in room but no means of boiling water. WiFi was adequate for checking email and booking trips. The location is very good in the west of Berlin, about five minutes from the Zoo station and from there a few stops to the major tourist attractions. The staff were generally helpful with travel advice and sorting problems. Unfortunately my last impression of the hotel was very negative. I had to pay a city tax, which is not the hotel's fault of course, but I would have expected the receptionist to be able to explain how it was calculated. Worse, though, was that part way through the transaction, the receptionist answered the phone and conducted the rest of the checkout without comment or eye contact while she spoke to someone else. As she was speaking German on the phone, I was unable to tell whether my transaction was complete. She handed my invoice and continued the phone conversation and I had to leave without clarification of the tax questions. This was incredibly rude.

My husband & I loved this hotel. The breakfast was SUPERB! I looked very much forward to it. I would stay there again. Veikko was extremely helpful with all that we needed. Very clean and comfortable. My husband misplaced his debit card and it was and it was at the front desk waiting for him. He did not even know he had misplaced it. Again, nice staff & excellent breakfast! I would give it a 5 star. Barbara

We arrived on Wednesday the 20th and was booked in for 3 nights. We arrived a couple of hours earlier and was checked in. The staff were friendly and first impressions were good of the hotel. We were in room 511. A large room with and kingsize bed and had lots of things on offer. Tassimo, fridge etc. The things in the fridge you had to pay for. Ive never had to pay for things in a hotel indigo and always have had a complementary drink/drinks which includes bottled water. So I was shocked this is not the case here. I asked for additional bedding and a kettle and both were supplied. The only issue regarding the room was the noise from outside. It is double glazed but every 10 minutes a siren was going off from police cars, ambulances etc. This woke me up a couple to times. I did mention this to the reception. Breakfast on the Thursday morning was excellent. All laid out and had lots to choose from. The breakfast on the Friday was not the same and nothing was laid out. I did mention to the reception that I understand that due to not having many guests they are cooking to order but to still have drinks, pastries and cereals, water would be a good touch so that people can help themselves. The manager did take my suggestions on board and noted that having drinks and toaster etc out is a good idea. They apologised for the inconvenience and went above and beyond. The hotel did supply us with a take out breakfast which was lovely on our departure day. On the whole we had a lovely time. Shame about the noise. Would we come back? Probably yes but we would want to be at the back of the hotel. I know that the view is not the same but a sleep is much better. Regards Aaron and Gary

We came to Berlin for the weekend. Staff are amazing here, we are so grateful for the hospitability. A big shout out to the bar man, we was having a drink on the Saturday night he helped us with information we needed, also made us personalised shots. There was a group of men having drinks near us and one came over and said something very inappropriate and the bar man was not happy with him and really protected us - thank you. Reception staff are lovely and cheery, helped with all our requests. Rooms are a little small but are very nicely decorated. They left me a lovely card and biscuits in the room which as such a lovely touch. Thank you so much, I would definitely return to this hotel. Very good location close to everything.
