The room was spotless, nicely decorated and just what we wanted. Breakfast in the mornings was plentiful with a great choice, good coffee and tea. We felt well looked after. The location was perfect for everything we wanted to do, the zoo nearby was only a 10 minute walk, the station took a little less than that to get to. Great shopping facilities nearby. We walked a lot, we walked back to the hotel from the Brandenburg gate one evening (accidentally, we certainly didn't plan to). We found a lovely Italian restaurant in nearby Savigny Platz which was good quality and value. In all we walked over 50km during the three days we were there and we ran out of time to do all we wanted, we will be returning next year.
The hotel is located with great access by public transportation to all parts of Berlin. A mere 5-10 minutes' walk away, either a cool restaurant and club scene extended around Savigny Platz, or the boutiques around Savigny Platz/ Kantstrasse. A few more minutes and the Kurfurstendamm is at your pleasure. The rooms are comfortable and seem to be recently done. I wonder, though, where do the designers think wet coats can be hung up? Or for that matter a long dress? An easy to use coffee machine in the room. I had a room facing the main road; though the windows cover a lot of the noise, I would advise a courtyard room. Breakfast is reasonable, with all the basics you would need. Warm egg dishes made as your choice. Friendly, service oriented young staff!
I have often wondered what the indigo Concept was trying to be and having now spent the weekend at the Hotel Indigo Ku'damm, I am still not sure. The lobby gives the impression of a break away from conventional hotel lobby's which are often seen as predictable. Here, you can sit down and register on arrival, although when I checked in, there was only 1 token member of staff on duty, which remained the case for pretty much the entire weekend. This is simply not good enough when you need to wait unnecessarily for someone to help you while she is serving guests sitting outside, leaving the front desk unattended. The concept, I am assuming, is aimed at millennials or younger travellers looking for something a bit different. The truth is though, that for me, it is nothing more than a Holiday inn Express, with a different logo. Rooms are small and pokey. Rooms are contemporary, 2 single duvets on a King size bed, (think this may be a German thing) and curtains which are the incorrect width for the windows, so allow light in on either side which is really rather irritating. Breakfast is disappointing, but at least offers fresh fruit, cold cuts and a bread assortment best left alone, the croissants and other pastries tasted stale to me. The only really positive thing I can say about the hotel is that is well positioned for many local attractions, notably the Zoo and Shopping. Not for me though.
Nice, confortable hotel, very good service and super good breakfast. Room s confortable, big pillows and confy beds. One minus is toilet sliding doors a little funny though. Take a room from upstairs with balcony.
The room was finished to a high standard but was ridiculously small. There was no room for a case let alone to move about. Breakfast was fine, but a bit basic. The Italian in room menu sounds great but is a complete let down. Staff were friendly and assisted where possible. Location was good and hotel was well kept.. Nothing extra for loyalty members though which really wasn't great, not even a drink voucher or premium wifi, etc..
Stayed here 2 nights while on a business trip and got an upgrade to the Executive Room which was great. New, clean, quiet nothing to complain really, located conveniently so all the things you want to visit are close. The breakfast at the time was my only point of criticism but I've been told they were changing it anyhow. Will definitely consider when back in Berlin.
My first stay at an Indigo brand hotel and I must say I was very satisfied. This branch is about 500 meters from zoologischer Garten train station. Sights of berlin are widespread whereas this hotel is in the middle of the city west shopping district. I stayed at the place for one night in July. Check in was very smooth. Room was small but had pretty cool designer furniture. The bathroom seemed to be in the middle of the room so don't expect much privacy if traveling with two persons. There is a small gym in the basement of this hotel. Breakfast was adequate with a small buffet section. The offering included local honey and jam as well as an a la carte selection which included made Timorese omelette or a local Bauernfrühstück. All of these were a nice touch. My rate was less than 90 EUR for the night inclusive of breakfast so overall a good value for money.
Hotel Indigo is in a great location between the Zoologischer U and S Bahn stations and the cute neighborhood of Sauvignyplatz. The area has lots of shopping, bus stops, and places to visit eat. The reception staff was very friendly and accommodating and they had great recommendations. The room was small and cozy, very clean and bright.
I stayed four nights at the Indigo Berlin Ku'damm and was very satisfied across the board with the service. The facilities were spotless and the team very polite, helpful and truly professional. This hotel is my favorite in Berlin!
The customer service is excellent, we were able to leave our bags with reception as we arrived earlier than the check in time and also on the day we left. All the staff are friendly and always say hello when you walk into the building. The breakfast was very good and you can also order food to be made such as pancakes, which were delicious. The room was small but had character and was very clean with nice toiletries and added extras such as free use of the tea and coffee machine. The location of the hotel is really good, only a couple of minutes from Zoologischer Garten station.
