Extra good and fresh breakfast. The cheesecake was extra good. Nice decoration and quiet room, comfort bed and big opened windows. Small and cosy Hotel. Easy to go from Tegel airport, take bus number 109. Warmly recommended.
Highly recommend Hotel Elba. We had a spacious room which was warm and comfy. The shower was good with plenty of hot water. Well located on the Ku'damm, good transport access into the city and to the airport. The breakfast buffet was amazing with lots of interesting choices - you could stay for ages eating tasty things. Only downside was two single beds instead of one double but we did like having separate duvets!
We stayed at Hotel Elba for four days this month and we would both highly recommend it. The room was clean and bright with a high ceiling and an ensuite bathroom. The reception staff were friendly and helpful and we were made to feel welcome. The breakfast is outstanding and well worth including in your plan at €9.50 per person per day. The variety on offer was amazing and the breakfast areas are lovely. It is about seven minutes walk to the station on the direct lines to both Spandau and Potsdam. If arriving by train turn left down the stairs following signs to Biebetreu Strasse. Big range of restaurant choices in the area of the hotel. I recommend Dick Wirtin for German traditional food and Saigon Green for Asian food.
Faboulous small hotel. Staff were very helpful and friendly and didn't laugh at our bad attempt at German. Everything was spotless. The breakfast was so fresh and healthy with a good range of options. We would definitely stay again.
Near to Ku'damm. Old building but well renovated so quite cosy. Price is low and you can expect breakfast like in 5* hotel. For really low price. I was really delighted. Parking is outside just on the street what sometime may be difficult, but you can buy parking card in the hotel allowing you to park in certain district for 7 euro daily (what is really cheap in Berlin). Few bars and restaurants around. Very good choice.
Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Not a large bedroom but perfectly satisfactory for a 3 night stay, with plenty of storage, also very clean and comfortable and with a good en-suite shower. The real plus point though is the breakfast, an excellent selection of meats cheeses, egg, fish, fruit, cakes etc kept topped up throughout the session. And most unusually some extremely elegant "tasters" such as smoked salmon on half a boiled egg, with sauce drizzled over served in a little dish. The hotel is easily reached in 10-12 mins from S bahn Savignyplatz (catch Regional train from Schoenefeld and change at Zoo onto S-bahn for 1 stop or exit the station and catch bus 109 / 110 at the Zoo bus stop and travel 3 stops to haltstelle "Bleibtreustrasse" on Ku'damm, then it's just 2 mins round the corner.
It's just 3 stations away from Berlin messe for business conference. 2 stations from Tier garden for fresh air running. Nice neighborhood for food and shopping. Most important, Breakfast every morning is fantastic.
We did not choose this hotel because it is close to the Kurfürstendamm, but because we needed a large room for 4 people. And big it was, also in height, maybe 4 meters and decorated very tasteful. The hallway was a bit worn, but it was offset by a old elevator and a feeling that it was great to stay in an original Berlin apartment rather than a polished standardized hotel. The breakfast are really good and handled by a very sweet girl who made sure that everything was okay.
Room 32 was a room for 4 which was a decent size with a balcony which was a great bonus for my smoker friends. Bathroom was really small though, you can only be in there one at a time. Great breakfast and lovely staff. Clean towels everyday. Hop on hop off tour bus was less than 10mins walk away from the hotel. The nearest shopping centre was also walking distance. Would stay here again. Annoying there is only one key but didn't affect us too much.
We stay in this hotel for the convenience of the location as we where in Berlin for a few days for ITB Tourism Fair. The hotel is close to shops, nice area, close to the train station, serve amazing buffet breakfast for 8 Euros per person, assorted bread, fruits, eggs, hams, typical german food and more. You will be stuffed with a good breakfast. The rooms are well decorated, a bit too small for a king bed. It has good information labels of see the information of the hotel and wifi internet. They put 1 bottle of sparking water per stay (we stayed 3 nights, but only 1 bottle for 2 persons), the bathroom very small but it was okay with hot shower. The closet and other furniture in the room is modern and good lightning in the room. The view is not good, to construction facility even though we were in the 3rd floor. It has a small flat tv, but we never used it. The staff are friendly, the customer service in the phone is of great help, speak english, and explain to us very well all the information we needed. The staff in the reception was very helpful, she helps us get to shops and store our luggage free of charge. Also they help us find a parking spot for 7 euros 2 days. Very good deal, considering the lack of parking spaces in the area. The only problem we had was when we arrived, the hotel apparently works from 8am to 8pm, so if you arrive after this time there is nobody in reception. The hotel itself doesnt look like a hotel, is more like a house building. They left a note in the outside bell that our keys are in a different hotel across the street. We went to get them and there was an envolope with several keys. We are a family of 2 and a baby boy of 3 weeks. Its was cold and not knowing this before hand it was scary. Once in, there was nobody to welcome us (we arrive at 9pm), stairs in front of us, and a very old elevator. It was very small, out toddler car didnt fit and it was a problem. The doors are heavy to open them, but work well. Its like a puzzle inside if you dont know where to go. I dont recommend this place for families with small children, but for couples of other families is a great place overall.
