You can get to the hotel From Schönefeld airport you just get the 162 bus and it stop just before the hotel round the corner on your left, the hotel is in a quite location, out of the way from the city at least a hr out.. probably better staying rear the center for the price of the hotel, they offer a shuttle service which you have to pay for and think it's about €25 , the room is self was very clean and tidy .. had no English channels the sky movies that is English was not working that was disappointing and the tea facilities are in the wardrobe we didn't find them til are 2nd night .. overall good hotel, nice location

First of all our taxi driver had trouble finding this hotel as there was no sign indicating it was a Best Western - we discovered this was due to them changing to a 'Golden Tulip' hotel from 1st January! Stayed here for three nights; to summarise: - Very far from Berlin's main sights - ideally only stay here if you have hired a car. Unfortunately the train station nearby was not in use so we had almost an hour's journey on two buses (or bus and u-bahn) to get anywhere - plus an hour back :/ - We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, printing out public transport instructions for us and being very pleasant. - Basic but very clean and comfortable room, slept very well. Yes our room was on the main road and you could hear trams, but it was quiet and peaceful at night as was the hotel. Room cleaned every day. The complementary coffee was surprisingly nice! - Ate at the Italian restaurant attached to the hotel and I thoroughly enjoyed it, very friendly staff (however my partner found his meal bland). - We didn't opt for the breakfast as we thought €13.50 per person was an extortionate price; however there is nowhere in very close proximity to have breakfast. - The old town is a short walk away and we enjoyed this; excellent cafe with the best hot chocolate and cake :) Oh and the takeaway pizza place across the road does delicious pizza! - A tip - don't use the hotel's taxi shuttle service as they charge €30.50 to Schoenfeld airport - if you get your own taxi (the hotel staff are happy to ring this for you) it is only €20 at most. So I've marked it as average due to the monotonous journey times to get anywhere - guess we should've done our research! And the basic feel of the hotel.

Stayed here at start of December. Close to Schoenfeld airport. Bit of a commute to central Berlin where the markets are but the transit system is so efficient it didn't feel that much of a chore. Staff were exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good and the food we had in the Italian restaurant was great and real value for money. Would stay here when we visit Berlin again.

We picked this hotel as it was not in the City centre and was a good choice. Rooms were of a good size, bed was very comfy, room was clean and had all you needed. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the restaurant attached each evening and enjoyed it each time. Food was freshly prepared and tatsted good too. The staff were great and you weren't rushed at all. It was about an hour travel into the Centre of Berlin if you used public transport, but isn't that part of the fun? We would definitely stay here again if we went back to Berlin.

Hotel with modern facilities and helpful staff a few minutes walk from a lovely old town, now part of the city of Berlin. Good access to public transport and has its own car-park. Very quiet at the rear, where the hotel is by the river with a path that one can walk and enjoy the peaceful view. A good hotel to escape the noise and bustle of a big city, but still be close by.

A really nice and practical hotel in a stunning location. Rooms are clean and modern. Right across the river is the Koepenick Castle (shown in the picture attached). You can easily walk along the river bank and over the bridge to explore the old city. The buffet breakfast is great, lots of variety and very satisfying. A great place to stay in Berlin.

One of the things that made me book here was that it said it was located close to a castle. I was on a very long layover, so I knew I would have time to explore. When I asked about the castle after arriving, I was told it was a small castle. I would have been upset when I saw it if the area hadn't been so gorgeous. There's so much to see and appreciate! And all within walking distance. Leisurely, you can take 1-2 hours and see the whole area. It depends on how often you stop to take in the sights and appreciate mother nature plus German architecture. Upon my arrival to the hotel and fresh after paying €55 for my taxi, I asked about the airport shuttle service they had. He confirmed the price was also €55 (which confirmed the cab guys are honest). I asked if I could get back to Tegel via public transportation. He told me Berlin had two airports (a third is supposed to be coming "any day now", lol) and Tegel was the furtherest airport from the hotel, but yes, I could take public transportation back to the airport. It would cost me about €6 to do so. LOL Much different than what I paid to arrive. There was a restaurant and bar in the hotel, but I didn't take advantage of either. Having paid attention while en route to the hotel, I knew there was a grocery store about 12-15 minutes walking distance. After taking in the sights that evening, I walked back to the hotel and then past it, to go to the grocery store*. I picked up food, necessities, and of course, a bottle of my favorite white-- riesling, which is a German wine. I walked back to the hotel and prepared to make my dinner (via microwave), only to realize my spacious hotel room (for a European hotel) did not have a microwave. Tired and hungry, I went across the street to the pizza place and ordered a pizza (a little different than American pizza, but very tasty). The room itself was nice, has everything you need. After being in a hotel with very nice towels the night before, I noticed the towels here were very small. However, they're big enough to get the job done. When I left the next afternoon, I did indeed take public transportation back to the airport. The employee from the night before had printed out the instructions for me and I followed them the next day. I walked to the bus stop, took the bus near a train station, walked to the train station, took the train, got off, and then walked to the bus that goes to the airport. It wasn't a whole lot, but you do have to pay attention, so you don't miss anything. If I ever stayed here again, I would take public transportation both ways. *If you're standing in front of the hotel, look to your left. Walk to that light and walk across the street. Keep going straight (with the restaurants and bar on your right) and walk another 8-10 minutes to the grocery store. Pass the smaller and closer one near the bus stop. Go beyond the bus stop and into the big parking lot (which is for the grocery store).

Rooms are nice, spacy and in very good shape. The staff is helpful, the breakfast-buffet is good and there is an adjacent italian restaurant serving good italian food. You may run into problems with the limited parking underneath the hotel, but you may just go next door to the parking of the Penta Hotel at € 8/night. But the big highlight of this hotel is its superb location on the waterfront right in front of the Köpenick Castle. There is a terrace outside to have breakfast on sunny days, absolutely magic! You are in walking distance to the lovely city of Köpenick, you have buses and tramways less than 200m away to get to the Berlin City within 45 minutes, and you have a boat-stop next to the castle to take a 3 hour ride across the waterways of Berlin.

Everything was lovely. Room was clean and tidy - very little road noise as there was good double glazing. Staff were really helpful. Breakfast outside by the river was perfect. Lots of choice and plenty of seating. Hotel is outside of Berlin but it is easy enough to use the transport system to get into the centre. All in all this was excellent value for money and I would stay here again!

We wanted to be away from city center and this hotel was just perfect. Just a 10 minute stroll from S-Bahn station in old city area. Spotless rooms with comfortable beds and great bathroom plus free Wifi with good connection. The staff were OUTSTANDING and gave us excellent information during our visit.
