Smallest room in the entire world. I booked a suite and they have it away so they have me jr. Suite. Never had that experience before and never want it again. Seriously three people fit across the room on push longest wall. Air conditioning just isn’t a thing on Europe and the Amano is no exception. Terrible.
It is conveniently close to the Berlin Main Station so we chose this one. There are restaurants and shops close by. We can walk to major attractions from the hotel or take the subway close by. The room we had was spacious. The bathroom stall is modern and hot water was great! I totally would recommend my friend to try this one.
On our first day there (Sept 24th) the young lady (a tall girl with dark, curly hair) at the main counter was EXTREMELY rude. After a very VERY long flight the least she could do was to smile. It looked like she was teaching someone new and was stressed out but even the new person (young blond lady) was very courteous. If the other one cannot deal with stress maybe she shouldn't work that post. Besides that one very rude person, everyone else was nice. The sheets were never changed even we left the sign at the door so they could please do housekeeping. There was less than minimal toiletry in the bathroom so we actually had to go to a supermarket for supplies. We requested a taxi that never came. Food was excellent for breakfast.
Very well communicated, hautpanhof station sin walking distance connects you to any point in berlin. There is nothing much going on in the area. The staff and reception people were very friendly. I enjoyed the roof top of the hotel. My only issue is tha my check out was at noon and the cleaning people entered my room three times, one at 8 am, 9 am and 10 am. They should have known I was still there and I could do my check out at noon. I was trying to get back to sleep and when I did they came into my room again to clean.
I spent three nights at the hotel. The first night the heat did not work at all. The room temperature dropped to the mid 50’s, and I got sick as a result. When I spoke to the young lady at the front desk she was unapologetic and dismissive. The second night the heat sort of worked, but it wasn’t until the final day that a technician finally came to the room and resolved the issue. I did have a very positive interaction with the manager (who was great) who ultimately resolved the issue; however, I’m still very disappointed that this occurred and it left me with a very negative impression of the hotel. I think the hotel is very beautiful and in a great location, but I would definitely advise against staying here in the winter.
Terrific hotel...enjoyed it. Would have preferred a cooler temperature in the room.
Excelente lugar cerca de la estación central aunque un poco lejos del centro

Dear Mr. William, Thank you very much for taking your time and sharing your comments with us. We are happy to hear that you liked our hotel and enjoyed its location. However, we do regret to hear that your room was cold and that the issue was addressed later than expected. This should not be a standard situation and therefore, we really hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in Berlin soon again. Kind regards, Gabriel Villalobos Hotel Manager
