I stayed here for 2 days, the hotel is perfect. Modern and comfortable. I had a problem with the airline that lost my baggage, all the staff has been very kind and help a lot to solve my problems caused by other. Thank you very much for the perfect assistance! See you soon!
Situated on the East Side close to the old Berlin Wall. Hotel was clean, standard Holiday Inn expectations. Excellent staff, very helpful to every request Excellent breakfast offer Visited during a business conference where full days and nights were prearranged so didn't get to check the local area. Saw signs for nightclubs. Didn't see any local restaurants A huge construction is taking place adjacent to the hotel though I wasn't disturbed by noise during my visit (Nov 2017) Not particularly central 13 minutes walk to nearest railway station which connects directly with Berlin Airport SXF in about 40 minutes
The hotel itself is only 3 years old and is next door to the Mercedes-Benz Area which is a very impressive complex. There is a building boom going on all around this area but there are few eating establishments near the hotel. The hotel is a short walk from the Wall and the Spree river. I stayed there because of it being walking distance to the local office I was visiting daily. The staff was okay but when we checked in we were told that the breakfast buffet was not included. The first morning I had to sign a slip with my room number. For the remaining 11 days I got the buffet but no one asked me to sign anything. I was surprised when I checked out that they told me the breakfast buffet was included, even through they did charge me for Monday Nov. 6. The laundry service was unbelievably expensive as the clothes are handled by a third party. Another quirk of this hotel is that you have to put the room key in a slot inside the door in order for the lights and television to power on. The last issue with this hotel was that I was given a room adjacent to a public works location in which loud road maintenance vehicles were coming and going at all hours of the day and night. Overall, just average although pricing for the room is very competitive.
First visit to Berlin ever and we chose this hotel after a friend advised us. Hotel is in Friedrichshain, an upcoming neighbourhood. The nearest train/metrostation is Warschauwerstraße which is bustling and busy at night but can also feel a bit raw and intimidating because of public alcohol and druguse. Just make sure you keep an eye on your stuff and especially at night don't wander around alone. The streets surrounding the hotel feel save enough. The hotel is near the East gallery where you can spot a long stroke of the Berlin Wall. The hotel itself has a nice and welcoming atmosphere. The staff was kind and aimed to service. The room was comfortable and clean, the bed was great; we just loved the room. We stayed for 5 nights so spend enough time to really form an opinion. Bathroom was fine too. In the near neighbourhood a lot of new buildings are being constructed so keep in mind that there will be noise disturbance when window is open. This didnt ruin our stay though! We had a couple of drinks in the hotellounge. Later in the evening the hotellounge gets a bit busier which is nice. All in all a really nice stay and the surroundings will probably only get better after constructions are done.
Would recommend a stay in the east part of the city. Very different and worth experiencing. Friendly staff, spacious room, super breakfast and great value for money. The train station is just down the road And it’s also on the tram line ! If you don’t mind walking, do and spot little understated cafes and restaurants. I can definitely recommend east part of the city.
This hotel is close to my office so the location is great. The breakfast is yummy and the little gym is decent. I got a terrible cold during the week I stayed at the hotel and the restaurant staff were amazing: they made me a large pot of herbal tea in the evenings when I got home and I really felt like I was being taken care of. The Internet access is fast and reliable. Overall, the staff are very attentive and helpful.
I travel to Berlin regularly for business. I am from the US. My German is good enough to show a local that I care enough to learn their language, but I am far from conversational. That is not a concern at this property. The staff is attentive and always willing to help out. Their evening restaurant staff and I have developed a bit a fun rapport which makes being away from home more enjoyable. The hotel is very clean and a standard European size. The East side is nearest the Berlin East Side Gallery. Other than the gallery the Mercedes Benz Center, there are not a lot near very the hotel. You will find a lot gems within a 15 minute walk in any direction.
We stayed here for three nights. There were three of us in a double room quite tight. The room was a standard hotel room, provided a kettle etc only thing they have to be chased to provide for three people in a room. There were no accessible stairs so you had to use the lift and there was always a long wait. There was a 'pub' serving food it had a very limited menu and was quite expensive. The location of the hotel was not good as there was not a lot of choice but to eat at the hotel. Breakfast was very good very good choice of everything fried and continental. The breakfast room got very crowded so you had to choose your time to eat breakfast I wouldn't choose this hotel again as you needed to get taxis/trams everwhere to get to the sights of Berlin.
Stayed while visiting daughter who lives close by for a long weekend. Stylish, modern decor, immaculate rooms, comfy beds. Service excellent, all reception staff really helpful, good choice of breakfast. Only had one other meal in restaurant, ok, but nothing fancy. Great if you are visiting the Mercedes Benz arena which is a few minutes walk away as is the train station to get around. Taxis plentiful, you need them as you are a long way from many other tourist attractions with the exception of the east side gallery which is just over the road as is the river so nice walks and restaurants accessible as well. Nice and quiet even though there are bars and clubs not too far away.
Close to everything on the east side. Across from east side wall gallery. Super comfortable room, great shower, easy access to all public transportation. Join IHG club online and save a bunch. Nothing not to like about this place.
