The hotel was very quiet and comfortable. The room was well equipped with a kitchen, allowing guests to make tea and coffee easily. A small oven inside the kitchen also brings you the possibility of heating up breads and snacks and n your room. The location of the hotel restaurants was ordinary but the breakfasts menu was a complimentary choice for starting a nice day . Overall, the hotel was certainly worth the price.
Excellent large room with good wifi. Dated decor but acceptable. Location outside the city centre but near to the excellent public transport system in Berlin Disappointing breakfast and the gym isn't worth the description.
Cozy room, comfy bed, wonderful staff and great wifi. Food was really tasty and I have nothing but great memories from this trip. My perfect weekend getaway. Although this hotel might seem a bit far at first sight, with M4 tram, Alexanderplatz is 15 minutes away. Shame I was here in February, as I think Derag Livinghotel is even better in summer. Really great hotel!
Very comfortable room and great service for mere peanuts. Excellent place, quiet location, very clean, teakettle, kitchenette, two bottles of beer in the fridge along with water. First rate bathroom with tub. And a balcony to the quiet street. Free parking round the corner.
I stayed in a larger business room, it felt dated decor wise and very dark. It quite far from the city centre so not ideal if you are sightseeing. The staff are superb & very helpful so a big thumbs up! The rooms are clean but as mentioned a little dated. The big turn off for me was the breakfast €14 is a cheek for what's on offer, basically scrambled eggs, meats, cheeses, some dodgy sausage type nuggets and salad??? At least put some bacon on, €14 is a liberty.
The hotel itself is really nice with comfortable and large rooms with nice amenities that include free bottle of water and beer on a daily basis. The hotel is also reasonably affordable so you are really getting a good deal here. The only thing to consider that if you are a tourist who is interested in seeing Berlin then this is not the ideal place as its far from Mitte (Central) and all the other sites, thou you have a train shuttle within 10 min walk. Overall I wish I was closer to Berlin but as far as comfort goes i was certainly satisfied. Thou it's far from downtown Berlin, the area itself in Weissensee is very quaint, peaceful, and nice with a little park and lake by the hotel. If commute isn't an issue for you to downtown area and you looking for a quiet place, comfortable and affordable place then I would certainly recommend this hotel in that regard.
This worked perfectly for me, visiting a friend in Prenzlauer Berg. It was really easy to get from and to Schoenefeld airport (S-Bahn and tram; the tram stop is five minutes' walk from the hotel) and just a few stops on the tram to Prenzlauer Berg and central Berlin. It's in a quiet, residential street. The Weisser See is not far away, and was a nice place to hang out on a sunny day. I was out early and back late each day, and can't comment on any facilities other than the room because I didn't use them. I booked a standard single room, which turned out to have a single bed, which is unusual these days, but the room was really spacious and had a small balcony. The complimentary beer and water in the mini bar is a nice touch. Staff were friendly and helpful and let me practice my approximate German on them. It was reasonably priced too. I'd stay there again.
It is too far away from the city. It cost much taking taxi to town. You are not going to drop your bags home and go back to town, it is too far away. Hotel staff is okey, but I would like to get more information about the city. The marathon was this weekend and they did not tell us what were the best way to go explore the city or even told us about the marathon and the streets were closed. We knew that would be some streets closed ofcourse but would have been good to get information! Some of the staff speaks english but not all. You have to walk about 7 min to get to the railway. it is not very easy to find this hotel. Next time when i visit Berlin, I am going to be staying near the city. Everything is closed on sundays (just wanted to tell you). The room is clear. They clear every day. It is quiet area.
The hotel is located in a very green and beautiful area of Berlin, close to a couple of lakes, parks, playgrounds and the historic village center of Weissensee. Nevertheless, connection to the city is frequent and fast. The rooms come with a kitchenette suitable for small cooking (even including a dishwasher!), with a balcony (ours had a wonderful view into the park) and a walk-in closet. Every day complimentary water and beer. Room service orders are free for kids! Service staff is friendly and attentive. Room cleaning could still improve (they did not seem to hoover the floor very often) and from the bathroom came a musty smell, maybe the ventilation was broken. All in all a perfect stay for families with younger children (although we did not see many) and business travellers looking for some rest.
The hotel was clean and the room was ok. In the morning they served free coffee in the lounge, and it was wonderful. However, the staff made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable and they were rude at times. Breakfast was overpriced, so we ate out. The lake that surrounds the hotel is really just a puddle and quite disappointing. Most importantly, the location is terrible! We had to walk for at least 10 minutes to the tram and then ride for about 25 minutes just to get to Alexanderplatz. It took us almost an hour to get to the Berlin Konzerthouse and other important tourist locations. It seems that mostly businessmen inhabit the hotel. I definitely do not recommend this hotel for tourists!
