Courtyard hotels in Europe are not the ones we find along the freeways in North America. This hotel is fairy new and located close to the branderburge gates, reichstag, fredricstrasse area. The room has enough space, which is good for a new hotel build in Europe in the price category in Europe. All amenities you would expect are in the room including a safe, kettle with instant coffee etc. Front desk staff were friendly. Good choice for location at a decent price.
This is a good hotel : 1- location is great near by Charlie check point 2- rooms are clean and comfortable 3- staff is really professional and friendly 4- breakfast is great 5- gym I small though but I guess enough for a light training 6- quiet hotel
The room was clean, a good size and very comfortable. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location in the Mitte district. -walking distance to many landmarks -walking distance to the City Sightseeing Hop-on Hop-off Berlin route -walking distance to the subway station Highly recommended
This hotel is clean, and well maintained in central Berlin. It is a little nicer than the standard Marriott Courtyard in the USA. The breakfast buffet was wonderful. Huge with many options. Much better than average. I generally don't stay in chain hotels ( Hilton, Marriott ) when traveling in Europe, but this Hotel is a good choice for a good reliable room.
I stayed here recently. The hotel was exactly what I expected - which was fine. I only wish I could remember the name of the woman at the front desk when I checked out. She called me a taxi. The taxi driver was rude and clearly trying to cheat me before we even left the hotel. He was yelling at me and demanding money for me to even leave the taxi, though we had gone nowhere. I went to the front desk and the wonderful lady there sorted him out. I am so sorry I do not recall her name because she deserves a big thank you.
I stayed here in March 2017 for a break in Berlin. This hotel met my expectations of a Marriott hotel. The reception staff where friendly and helpful. The rooms where spacious for a city centre location and very clean. The quality of the shower was good also. This is an ideal location in central Berlin to stay as it is 15 mins walk from the main line station and 2-3 mins walk from the nearest tube station. The food and drink is typical for any chain hotel and is ok (bit expensive) breakfast was very nice with lots of choice.
My room was clean - good size and very comfortable. Check in was a breeze and considering how central the hotel is all in all a good place to stay - particularly for business travelers. There is a restaurant that I ate at one evening - again it was fine for a meal alone - fair price but nothing special.
We found the hotel extremely comfortable and centrally located to all our required activities. Staff in the hotel were friendly, courteous and helpful. Since we were visitors we should have learned German language however all personnel spoke English and made us feel much better. Breakfast was included with a wide selection of food, German style. We never liked the free american style breakfast anyway.
We had 3 nights here. Spacious room, good comfortable bed. Empty fridge was a great idea so we could fill it with our stuff. Really helpful staff when luggage went missing with KLM flights. Fitness centre a little small. A little way out for walking to restaurants but found one locally that we liked.
We stayed here on an overnight layover in Berlin using points. The hotel was good and I would stay there again. Location- Great! It was within walking distance to many of the main sightseeing locations around town. From there, we walked to Checkpoint Charlie, the topography of terror, several museums, and Gendamenmarkt. Not too many restaurants very close, though- especially ones open late. We arrived pretty late hoping to walk out and grab something to eat, but there was nothing on the street around us. Room- Comfortable and big, standard for Marriott. They had a very nice complimentary coffee/tea setup. We didn't really like the bathroom because the shower wasn't separate- it was one in the corner that sprays onto the toilet if you're not careful and gets the whole bathroom floor wet. We were surprised to see that in such a nice hotel. They did provide toiletries. Food- We arrived late and got food at the bar in the lobby. It was very good! From what I recall, they stop serving food somewhat early (11pm?). We got currywurst and a yummy sandwich. The prices weren't bad. Service- Friendly, what you would expect from a major chain hotel. Other- there isn't an airport shuttle, so we had to take a taxi. The hotel called one for us promptly.
