The hotel is conveniently located, clean and functional with a friendly staff.
I had to take an exam on a Monday and my apartment here in Berlin was too warm (AC's aren't too common around here, sadly), so I decided to look for a hotel with an AC to spend 2 nights at and study for said exam. The AC in this hotel (and most hotels I've been to in Germany for that matter) wasn't as good as the ones we're used to in the US. I honestly don't know why. Cost savings, perhaps? The room was small but very clean and comfortable and had a nice view over to the Ku'damm (Kurfürstendamm). The breakfast buffet was pretty good and it had a good variety (scrambled eggs, sausages, fruit, bread, cereals, etc.). If you pay the breakfast in the same morning you consume it, it will cost you 12€, but if you book it ahead, it will cost 10€. There is a Subway sandwich restaurant right next to the hotel, where you can get a decent meal if you're staying at the hotel the whole time. All in all, it was a good hotel and for the price, it's really good. The exam's result: A+ . Worth it!
We made reservation for family room 2 adults and 2 children. They did not have room for us so they offered us 2 smaller rooms but one room smelled after cigarette smoke. So we asked for different room. We got 2 rooms on same floor but in room we surprise someone - it was already occupied. I don't understand how we could get keys from occupied room. They did not have any othet rooms available. We had to stay in smaller room. Three of us slept on doble bed and room had sofabed for one. In the morning we had another problem. We were told that we did not pay for breakfast. But we did book family room for 4 with breakfast and I remember after I marked this option the price for room went up but I did have copy of reservation. Our
It was located right in the heart of the city. There was plenty to do to keep you busy for days. You felt completely comfortable in this location. The rooms are not air conditioned, however, so id you go during the hottest time of the year it may be a little uncomfortable for that reason. You will need to bring your own hair care products because German hotels do not provide much more than soap.
The staff was most helpful and informative. Their knowledge of the city made the trip to Berlin a great experience. The views from my room and the restaurant were outstanding. The room and bathroom were immaculate.
I got this as a package with airfare, so it is hard to say anything specifically about value. The hotel's location by the Olivaerplatz bus stop is very convenient, the room was very nice, the breakfast was very good (10 euro charge#, the wi-fi #being on first floor# worked well, the staff were helpful #reliable wake-up calls#. I would have appreciated a few more hangers in the closet. Also, beware that the door #which closes rather slowly) needs to be locked from the outside and inside - there is no automatic locking mechanism.
Hotel was very convenient. Took the 109 bus from the airport and left us off just in front of the hotel. Left at 4:30 and again took the bus. About a 15 minute ride to the airport all for about 2,30 Euros. Staff was nice. Hotel was very, very comfortable.
Centrally located with U bahn nearby, bus stop and taxi stand at front door. Room and bathroom small, but great balcony. Traffic noise a problem especially motorcycles. Had to request sheets and towels be changed after one week, and maid left room door open on one occasion. Buffet breakfast good, but overpriced. All in all, not bad for the price.
