The staff was friendly and helpful. I've never been treated better at any other hotel. They were quick and enthusiastic about meeting my every need and making my stay there as comfortable and fun as possible.

Second stay at the Axel in Berlin and really like it. The ONLY complaint is that the rooms are a bit dusty and needing of some maintenance (wall bases are loose). Staff is amazing and the location is unbeatable.

Really had a great time staying at this Axel Hotel. All facilities are working fine and all staff are ok with the service, it should have been better for what we paid for, but again we can't get evcerything can we...? So overall I would recomend anyone whom wanted to spend a private time together as a couple this would be the options. The corridor had the smells, very badly. Not sure of what was it but the management should have done something about the smell as it really bad especially on level 4 where we stayed.

Good value for your money and location is nice. Wifi is pretty good, but could be stronger in some areas of the hotel. Friendly and courteous staff.

Let's face it, this is a niche hotel catered to a niche market. While straight people stay here too - really, they do - it's definitely an LGBT-oriented hotel. There are smaller LGBT hotels nearby, but I think this one is the best overall. The location is very convenient, the rooms are modern, the staff is helpful, and breakfast downstairs is good. If you can get a decent rate, it's definitely worth a stay.

Right in the heart of the gayborhood. Close to public transit. Lots of bars and shopping nearby.

nice location to everything in the gay area. good restaurants nearby. the only thing i did not like was the cruisy scene overall in the hotel

Great hotel right in Schöneberg area of Berlin. Perfect place next to KaDeWe shopping during the day, and bars at night. The staff was pleasant and helpful, and there was a fun drag show the nights we were there at the hotel restaurant.

The hotel staff were generally nice, and one went so far as to upgrade us to a suite when the shower in our initial room did not function. We really appreciated the upgrade, and the suite was nice and much larger than the standard room. However, some hotel staff seemed disinterested - even annoyed - at queries. The Hamburger Marys restaurant staff next door were friendly, but the restaurant seemed badly understaffed, making the wait-time for food long even when there were only a few customers.

Very nice hotel. Clean rooms. Plenty of towels. To the subway 2 minutes walk. There are a lot of restaurants and grocery stores. Nice and helpful staff.

This was the second time we stayed at the hotel, and we liked it even more than the first time. Staff is super-friendly and the atmosphere is simultaneously calming and electric, where you can relax and recharge with positive energy. The wellness center is a great place to recharge as well. If one wants to have coffee then unfortunately you have to walk to one of quite a few bakery shops in the vicinity since the hotel does (but should) offer a breakfast corner where travelers can get some snacks and brew some coffee from a coffee automat as they can be found in some other hotels. Such corner would also allow for hotel guests to mingle throughout the day.

The room was tiny, the shower did not work, the entire interior of the hotel is painted black (to hide the poor cleanliness or maintenance?) and the staff was rude at best. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to an enemy.

Well if you are gay and to berlin, you must go this hotel as it gives you infinite happiness. location was amazing, easy to reach but not too loud. recommend for sure if u want fun and 'fun'

Positive: Supreme location. Very nice and helpful staff. they helped with any request. Negative: The room was very small comparing to Berlin standards. You get just 1 wifi code for each guest. so when switching between my iPhone to laptop, I needed to disconnect, wait and put my password in the other device... that's a shame in the year of 2014. The bed was really not comfortable (but maybe that's just me)... the pillows were as thin as a sheet, so I couldn't sleep well. The jacuzzi is great, but the water were cold and it was always occupied by same people... We were two but got just 1 bathrobe in the room. we had to ask for another one. Bottom line: you can get better deal for the same price. just stick to this area.

Is OK , no more. I cant understand why i ternet is avalibale for only one device at the same time!

The axel was average experience the room is small and is only comfortable for one person. The room has little to no storage and an exposed closet . Finishes in the hotel look cheap. The gym is a joke it's one machine. the location is next to kadewe and a major train station but its in the boring West Berlin that is quiet and bars are only good for happy hour and back rooms its an 45+croud . If u are young It's far from the trendy clubs and bars of kreuzberg and friedrichshan

The rooms are smaller with not much storage for clothing etc. The walls are painted black with a red light behind the glass in the shower evidently for a romantic ambience. The hotel controls the A/C depending on the weather, so if you need the windows open get a room away from the busy street noise. We upgraded to a suite after 3 days and were much happier. For 40 Euros more you get plenty of closet space, double sinks, and the room is much larger. I would stay here again, however would probably reserve a suite to start with. It's good value and close to transportation, eateries and pubs. This hotel is 75% gay and 25% straight. I like that diversity factor too.

Great location & nice staff! Definitely would recommend and stay again!

Loved my stay at the Axel; it is close to the Ku-dam and Kadewe as well as the gay neighborhood. Very friendly staff and good albeit small rooms with not much storage area. They are opening a Hamburger Mary's later this spring. Sounds fun!

Really is very comfortable, the staff is super friendly, but if you want to exercise the gym is only five machines, we gays look good and this gym is not for nothing, but the location of the hotel is great, the security is good and best of all is that everything is close.
