stayed three nights. very close to airport only a 15 min cab ride (late evening). peaceful location next to the river, bars nearby and an organic super market. great location overall, especially for walking, cycle hire and public transport. Very nice reception and welcome. The hotel was very fresh and clean. new carpet etc. Very nice spacious and modern room. Breakfast was included and was excellent. will stay again
First visit to Germany. This is a lovely hotel.Stayed 19th till 24th March.Really modern and clean Only downside was at side of hotel and did not have view.Didn't really matter as we were never in.Went sightseeing for 2 days .Didn't eat in hotel so don't know what food was like.Found a lovely wee restaurant just across from train station.(Which is just about 8 mins walk away and 1 stop from main station )Food is just lovely and we got an English menu.Really a lovely quite place .Think would be really lovely in the Summer.Would recommend this hotel for to all.For anyone getting there from Airport to hotel S9 train getting of at Bellvue.
Its my second review of Ameron hotel. Much better! the lobby has gone through entire renovation and has now new eclectic look. But more important is that part of the rooms are also under renovating process. White shiny bathrooms, the the heavy metal 19th century keys were replaced by RFID cards. One thing has not changed - The heating doesn't heat. Its not that you suffer from Arctic cold, but one who prefer some warmth in the room needs to bring his own heater. Breakfast is still excellent as always. To summarize - Go for it, ask for the renovated rooms.
We booked 2 nights at this hotel and when we arrived we were extremely happy. The building foyer has comfortable seating areas, check in was quick. The room itself was modern, clean and we were given a 6th floor room with a river view. There were a few small annoyances with the room being extremely hot but the air con rattling, we had the window wide open (seems strange the window wasn’t restricted on 6th floor!) We booked for breakfast to be included. My friend originally booked accidentally for 1 person but contacted the hotel to confirm it was in fact for 2 people. We asked that breakfast was included, it was confirmed yes. However during check out we were charged for 2 breakfasts and even though we explained the previous error, they would not drop the charge. Also, you have to arrive early for breakfast. It says breakfast is until 10am but if you arrive past 9am, there’s hardly any food left which was irritating as we had paid for the breakfast. I would stay again due to the lovely location and ease of travel (Bellevue tram stop only a 5 min walk away)
We were fortunate to get a river view on the second floor that offered views up and down the Spree. Spectacular since it was still mostly frozen. Breakfast buffet was excellent but very crowded and difficult to find a free table. Limited but good other food options close by. Short easy walk to S Bahn.
I had a room on 8th floor with nice view over the river. Very comfortable room with good amenities such as coffee machine. Breakfast okay Very helpful staff on the reception desk The only thing I would be a bit critical about is the spa area. There were no bathrobes. In the Sauna area, the water cooler was empty.
This hotel could be quite nice, with just a little bit of effort. We chose it for the maisonette, but somehow they've managed to make a good-sized room quite uncomfortable. First impression: Crumbs on the carpet and empty chocolate wrappers in the drawer. Sleep quality: The sofa bed on the top floor was actually the most horrible bed I've ever slept in (we did get an extra bed when asked for, though). Noisy aircon on upper floor made us think it would be a good idea to sleep with the window open - which turned out to be not so great when the, I don't know what, construction works? in the alley outside started at 3 o'clock each morning. Bathroom: as someone else stated, "as clean as an old bathroom can be", but let me add that the shower head was close to completely clogged, so wash your hair before staying. Breakfast: Nothing special, but OK buffet. However, with kids who only want a bowl of cereal and an apple, a price of 19 Euros pp seems a bit excessive, so we just gave it one try and went elsewhere. (Why not have a "Continental" option for those who are happy with a croissant and coffee?) On the bright side, staff seemed professional and friendly, and the building itself looks good. With a bit of renovation, this could be OK.
The check in and out was easy and fast. We took a taxi from Tegel airport that cost 20 euro including the tip to the driver and it was easy and close. The S-Bahn is walking distance, around 7 min, and there's not a lot of things in walking distance from the hotel, but really short S-Bahn rides. The surrounding area was quiet and beautiful, and there are many places to eat around the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, but getting to it was a little uncomfortable and included stairs and a really long corridor (it was a little annoying with the suitcases, the rest of the time not so bad). Overall I would recommend this hotel.
Hotel is spotless. The staff are great and will advise about local transport. Second trip to Berlin as my son stayed there as part of a scheme. Beautiful city. 2 x underground stations within a short walking distance. Would totally recommend this hotel. Underground is literally two stops from the main stations, takes a couple of minutes if that. Then the stations will take you anywhere yo need to go .Fantastic city. People are so friendly. Recommend the Christmas markets.
The hotel staff was great. Great food and service. The hotel bar was amazing with great service with Andrea leading the way. I would stay here again! We had a conference at the hotel and it was first class. John
